@shndola yes, in a lot of places illegals can vote. They're not SUPPOSED to vote but when there's no one checking citizenship when registration happens there's nothing to stop them. In PA you don't need a DL or SS# or BC to register. In Port Chester, NY latinos are given 6, yes 6 votes per person. Only latinos. Our nation was founded on the principle that voting is one man one vote and that vote is sacred. But they get SIX.

@hawanja there are not many places in the USA that do not BY LAW require a person to have identification on their person at all times when out in public. So if you get pulled over by the police and have zero identification, you are more than likely going to be detained UNTIL they figure out your identity. That's the law. So if the law says you must be a citizen to vote, then to register to vote should require some form of proof of your eligibility.

Did you know that around 20,000 years ago there were 2 other species of smart apes just like us? Neanderthals and the Cro Magnon. There are also skeletons showing evolution over time.

The average temperature across the globe has gone up. Not only that, weather in general has become far more extreme in all of the seasons. Storm activity is also far more severe. Connecticut and Illinois has allowed non citizen voting in some elections. Maine and Maryland allow non citizen voting in 6 communities and additional campaigns are underway.

@hawanja you're seriously in need of some education. If it is not required for proof of citizenship HOW can you determine if someone is ELIGIBLE to vote? Just take their word for it? If you are a citizen you SHOULD have some form of identification. You SHOULD have a social security number. If you are registering to vote less than 30 days prior to an election, ya missed the boat in MOST cases. If you have more than 30 days to do it, you have enough time to get an I.D. of some kind.

@hawanja there are not many places in the USA that do not BY LAW require a person to have identification on their person at all times when out in public. So if you get pulled over by the police and have zero identification, you are more than likely going to be detained UNTIL they figure out your identity. That's the law. So if the law says you must be a citizen to vote, then to register to vote should require some form of proof of your eligibility.

These numbers are significant: Local elections are often decided by only a handful of votes, and even national elections have likely been within the margin of the number of non-citizens illegally registered to vote. @mistrzu2007 The View comes on at 10 AM Central so thats 11 Eastern, 9 Mountian and 8 Pacific. So they are at school during 3 time zones, and depending on what time each school starts in the West, they are either just starting school or going out the door to go to school.

Some of these folks only won their primaries because people are so disgusted with Washington, Historically these candidates wouldn't of even made it past the primary. The scientology method of detox is proven to work and THAT is what she wanted to do in a women's prison so these women could get clean, serve their time, and go back to being productive. She also tried to get a bill passed against psychotropic drugs in schools... so radical.

It was renamed the Office of Education in 1939. But yeah in 1979 it was upgraded to a department (part of cabinet) which a lot of people were against. I mean I guess the local level would be good... But I dunno man, I think there should be some sort of standardization. It would be interesting I suppose to see what happens.

Students from every state went to colleges of every other state... they had to have standard education in order to get IN to these colleges. but even with the DOE does it make you wonder how some states have "better" education than others when they are all told to teach the same things? Yes, they have to use funds in certain ways if they want to be illegible for federal funds but the bad thing about our education system is that it's a HUGE bureaucratic mess. Another important thing about a federal department of education is making sure states don't teach pseudo-science.

@TheJoozie Well you have to remember what "theory" means in science... It means it has been shown to be true through experimentation, and observation. The "theory of evolution" has been proven. I would recommended Darwin's original work "The Origin of Species" . Also, for example.. The evolution of humans... Did you know that around 20,000 years ago there were 2 other species of smart apes just like us? Neanderthals and the Cro Magnon. There are also skeletons showing evolution over time.

The average temperature across the globe has gone up. Not only that, weather in general has become far more extreme in all of the seasons. Storm activity is also far more severe. I've read the origin of the species several times and it doesn't actually GIVE the origin of the species. True there are many skeletal remains that show evolution which I have no problem with. What science stops at is how it all began. A big bang doesn't fly. Quantum physics points to consciousness. Everything comes from consciousness. And there are missing links... too many to say "proven"

She WAS a proponant of the global warming theory but after a few years of working with environmentalists, heliologists, climatologists and geologists she found that this is all a normal cycle of the planet. @thenaj88 The IPCC has all but eliminated the medieval warming and mini ice age from their reports. Like it never happened but geologists know they did happen. The gauging of temperatures is now done differently than it used to be. Temps are no longer being taken in rural areas. If you only take temps in urban areas the average is going to go up because it's hotter on the asphalt. I can attest to this living where the temps were over 120 in summer in town but 100 just a few miles out.

So since you as someone who has more wealth feels no obligation to contributing towards a larger society or who doesn't want you takes to help poor people, then I do not care about your tax burden. "I make too much" is not an excuse - that's bullshit. Everyone pays taxes, what the hell makes you special?

@hawanja 2% of the population in america has most of the money. That 2% also pays 50% of all federal, state, local, property and income taxes in the country. The middle class pays a majority of the remaining taxes collected. Why should he or anyone feel any obligation to help anyone? Especially people who don't pay taxes, don't work when they can, and don't contribute in the way you're condemning him for not contributing.

@JoshPahr What I mean is, we all have an obligation to contribute towards society. No one owns the roads, the highways, the air, water, police, fire, military, and so on. These are things which everyone benefits from. The difference is many people think things like welfare, social security, medicare, and the like need to be included in this category, becasue aid to poor people benefits everyone in society, in many different ways. So yeah, I think they should pay taxes.

And yes, I am bitter about the people that don't work because they don't want to. Which is it? Do people want to or don't they? I've known at least a dozen people in my life that have made a great go of cheating the system. I've only known ONE family that was on aid that wanted off of it. The top 5% pays 70% of the federal tax burden...

It's been my experience that the majority of people who are homeless and or unemployed do want to work but can't becasue of various reasons - lack of skills, education, experience, criminal record, handicap, etc. There are very few people who truly live on grift or off others - they tend alienate family and friends.

I don't think that a million dollars should be spent on "genital cleansing" in Africa. 1 million dollars can put a lot of cops on the streets. Firefighters. Teachers. It isn't any different when you add zeros to the dollar amount. The federal reserve doesn't belong to the USA, it's a private entitiy. That's WRONG.
