I've seen or heard some good Japanese rappers before and they really got some tight beats so I'm not all that against the Japanese rap scene, however, most of the artists just don't seem to have enough understanding of the culture behind the music to call themselves "rappers". When you are mimicking someone else's culture you should at least have some respect and study the origin.

They place their own culture into it and that's not a problem. Transversely, we in other parts of the world have taken anime and to dub it into English (as and example), that often ignores the culture of the original Japanese audio. That's the way it is.
