Am I the only one who actually really likes how he sounds here? I mean, I'll admit, it's not exactly at the peak point of his life vocal-wise, but I think the age added a lot more soul into his voice, and the contrast between a young person looking at the progression of rock n roll and now an older person is sort of fascinating.
Camping chairs, top of the hill, looking at the crowd/pyramid stage, shoes and socks off, ice cream in one hand, beer in the other, sun shining. Not a worry in my head and not a problem in my life for 5 days! :)
bittersweet watching this. the song is so iconic, and so is the man who wrote and is singing it, though not as well in the past. nevertheless, it's a good thing that he sings it still.
@metals0999 wow your joking or young and uninformed,,,,,search for empty chairs by don mclean,,,,,,loss is eternal and everyone goes through it,,,,this song captures it perfectly
Hard to believe that it's been four decades that have gone by!! I first heard this song on KNUZ radio in Houston, Tx. on Christmas Eve night..........and there never has been, and never will be another song to match it!!!
i really like how he occasionally sings a little higher and sounds just like he did in 72

Feb 5th was warm and wet here in (west) England. Hope it improves for you guys soon.
The weather in the UK is always changing, which is why we, rather boringly, talk about it so much. :)
