It might sound antithetical to a rock star, but her music has always been kind-hearted and inspirational, since her first Fleetwood Mac records in the mid-70s. She has never had to resort to being a "slut" to sell herself. Modern female pop stars need to learn that lesson from her, assuming they have a fraction of her talent.

Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood had a secret romance during the Mac years. Later Stevie went into rhab for her cocaine addiction. Afterwards (she has stated) she was petrified to sing on stage again; she had never been on stage sober. Mick invited her to just hang out and they rode a bus through the southwest. He restored her confidence. A very touching song.

For a long time, we only got cheap looking concert videos (from Street Angel through Say You Will). How encouraging is the thought, that there are still artists like Stevie Nicks, who sing passionately about ordinary things that happen in our everyday lives. We should be thankful, that in the era of autotuned pseudo-vocalists we have a chance to listen to the music as rich and beautiful as "For What It's Worth". I don't think this song is about loss. In the video that explains songs on the album (In Your Dreams - Part 2) she says this song is a thank you to "her friend the drummer" (Mick?) who drove her to rehab all those years ago. She's reflecting on the great life she got to have because of him doing that. It's gratitude....

I'm so tired of feeling like other women have something that makes someone fall in love with them and want to commit for life but with me it has always been "see ya" after the thrill is gone & the new has worn off. I find this song incredibly real. Painfully so. There's something that happens to women, (and probably to men too) when you've loved and lost, loved and lost.... then love and lost again. And you find yourself older and wiser but no better off. So U give up. Hoping, has become too painful to daydream about, so you try to forget. But the human soul demands honesty, and when you realize you rather die than be alone anymore, you must either be saved by romance, or your spirit dies.
Respond to this video... True for men as well. Filling the heart with dreams and hope then nothing. When that some one does step in that willing too stay you push them a way because you can't reach out.

I was having difficulty getting into this song, but now I've seen the video it all makes sense {and how often can you say that about a music video?!}.
I just hope Stevie made videos for the entire album, and will release them for us...

@SilverWolfMoon Me too. I am thankful that Stevie's label is putting up the money to have decent videos made for her singles. For a long time, we only got cheap looking concert videos (from Street Angel through Say You Will). Stevie has millions of diehard fans that want to see her in videos just like every other singer has. Oh, and Stevie is a fine looking woman that looks fabulous in these clips. Keep on rocking Stevie!

How encouraging is the thought, that there are still artists like Stevie Nicks, who sing passionately about ordinary things that happen in our everyday lives. We should be thankful, that in the era of autotuned pseudo-vocalists we have a chance to listen to the music as rich and beautiful as "For What It's Worth". While I don't think it will set the charts on fire, I know that sooner or later it'll become one of the claasic in her discography. All hail the Queen of Rock and Roll!

This woman... is one of the most amazing people I have ever seen. Her concerts are magical, her voice is magical. Everything about her is so ethereal that I can't imagine speaking in person to her, although I would give anything just to do so. She has shined bright and still gives quality to music; where as today... all you have is junk and poor quality auto-tuned music. Talent is rare, but Stevie has it naturally with a voice that can make you feel happier by the word. Stevie Nicks is my hero

There are several facets to this music video that I adore, as I'm sure you all do. One of my favorites is Stevie singing to her makeup artist - reminding me of years ago when Stevie was singing her song "Wild Heart" to her makeup artist backstage. One thing that is crystal clear - Stevie's music has evolved. For what it's worth, Stevie's connection has enhanced many of our lives. Long live our Queen of Rock~

I don't think this song is about loss. In the video that explains songs on the album (In Your Dreams - Part 2) she says this song is a thank you to "her friend the drummer" (Mick?) who drove her to rehab all those years ago. She's reflecting on the great life she got to have because of him doing that. It's gratitude....

You've just expressed everything I feel at the moment. As far as love goes, my life has been one loss after another. I'm so tired of feeling like other women have something that makes someone fall in love with them and want to commit for life but with me it has always been "see ya" after the thrill is gone & the new has worn off. I am so glad that Stevie's label is making videos for her songs again. I am not talking about some cheap, "concert" shot, but real music videos. We got 2 nice videos from Trouble in Shangri-La, but no "real" videos from the Mac's Say You Will release. How ironic that Stevie, now 63, looks and sounds better than she has in decades. She has proved her many critics wrong by showing remarkable longevity, durability, growth, character, tenacity and beauty LONG after they had writtern her off. Rock on

So i'm 15 and my friends are probably gonna make fun of me for loving songs and artists that they don't know but i don't really care. I saw her do this song live in Cincinnati Ohio on August 20 2011 and i cried. I love this song and the video makes it so much better. Love you, Stevie. :)

I find this song incredibly real. Painfully so. There's something that happens to women, (and probably to men too) when you've loved and lost, loved and lost.... then love and lost again. And you find yourself older and wiser but no better off. So U give up. Hoping, has become too painful to daydream about, so you try to forget. But the human soul demands honesty, and when you realize you rather die than be alone anymore, you must either be saved by romance, or your spirit dies.
