I have to agree with alot of the comments here, i do electronics also. If it sounded like that at the show that is too bad, not sure if it is just where the recording is taken. Might be right in front of the lead guitar amps but sounds like the lead guitar volume is way high. He is as loud as the whole band, and the vocals get drowned out. I wouldn't want him, to pompous. The dreamy vocals are the key to this song. If Simon Le Bon reads this, Ordinary World is your BEST; Laurent.

Did Simon say " music levels " after he introduced Ordinary world at 00:27 ? Perhaps a little message to the house sound tech to " fix " Andy ? Simon's body language tells he is PISSED about the guitar volume and most likely the sound tech has Andy OFF on the board , because the amp backline is BLOWING EVERYONE AWAY . God help those poor buggers in the first 10 rows in front of Andy ! Simon's vocals are in direct competition with the guitar . He'll blow his voice out in short order doing so .

I think you're right....from having done production for so amny years, I can tell that they aren't real thrilled with the mix and they can hear it. I think this is one of the most precious songs ever written. We have ALL been there in the (Ordinary world) I think this band has always expressed a beautiful way of expressing how to move on, back to the ordinary world... from a fun world... IT ROX! I know we can't get a real pic of the sound quality from this video.. i don't blame musicians for not allowing video... it's not the same as the real deal unless it is professional equipment.
