  • I just bought an Orient Star Airplane from the company website using a promo code I got off Orients' YouTube videos. They shipped less than 24 hrs later and will be here 2 days after purchasing. My first Orient I loved so much I had to buy another!

  • Watch makers must be the brain surgeon's counterpart in engineering.

  • does anybody knows what cal this is ?

  • Awesome!

  • you are so fucking noob!

  • Interested how watch parts are produced?

    Check the Mikron Tube

  • Look at the precision of his hands and how steady they are incredible!

  • Do they put that much attention into all of their watchers? or just the high-end ones?

  • I love Orient!!!

  • Nice video man Orient, Seiko, Pulsar. Are great watches and the rapport be twine quality and price is amazing !!!

  • Who ever makes the movement is a master craftsman,my Orient sub is more accurate than my Breitling with a 7750 in it ,kills all of my Seiko's ,i no longer buy them in automatic,i prefer orient ,bought 2 for my nephews ,they live in Florida and are into scuba ,Great job

  • I bought an orient several months ago. It was the cheapest mechanical in their line. It works flawlessly and sometimes I wonder if it's not quarts. I love it and it's a great buy.

  • Which model is this ? Its high end and not low end for sure .

  • Never buy an Orient watch.......... I had on, after one year or less incorrect time !!!

  • @KnightKing2000 ... No company is perfect one off is not a reason to say never buy one .

Its like saying never trust a human .. Because one let you down .. Retard.

  • Are mechanical automatic watches all made by hand?

  • Is each watch assembled by the same person or in stages with different assemblers?

  • does all of this go into a $60 watch?

how long does it take to make one?

  • @jradetzky depends on the type of watch. if its a "complication" then it would worth much. And it will take a little longer to do. I am not fully knowledgeable at an Orient watch, but maybe a day or three maybe...

  • @tjvistan85waver One day would be too long. I was thinking of 1 hour at most LOL

  • Orients are good watches but could use some improvements.

  • these watches are made by assembly line.

  • CHINA quantity JAPAN quality !!!

  • Производственный цех давайте показывайте! А то как про "Восток", так там и станки старые, и грязно, и вообще каменный век.

  • @udjin1986 babelfish.yahoo . com

  • japans best of the best manufactured watches !!! 100 euros seiko 5 or orient 5 watch beat the eta 5oo euro watch !!!

  • when it started to spin i was like O_O omg they just created life :<

  • Anyone now how many watches factory works are required to make a day?

  • Now think of the theory of evolution. Ask your self can this watch come together all by itself? Now what makes people think a cell can?

  • @RespectMyHate You and me and every human and every animal were a single cell in one moment.

  • @xoxidometry I agree but within that cell was all the coded information to make a human, a cat, dog etc. Its genetic engineering at its finest, man can't even begin to create what goes on inside of your very body. What ever man has made is child's play when compared to the system working within you. GOD IS AWESOME

  • @RespectMyHate are you serious?

  • @jamchew1982 YES.

  • feels like buying an orient star now

  • i get placing the parts, but what makes the parts. so small

  • I have one traditional and a battery powered. Both of them work very well. The automatic for at least five years.

  • I'm not familiar with Orient watches. Are they higher quality than Seikos?

  • Yeah, they make the whole movement in-house.

  • the models in their price range on par with seiko yes (however they are not on par with the high end seiko's such as the seiko premier or grand seiko lines) (they are also owned by seiko) but they make very good reliable watches, great value

  • que modelo es este?

  • Just got my blue mako and it is keeping +3 sec a day time... Really something for $95 USD

  • I have a blue Mako!Great watch for not much Money!

  • just superb! i have a Black Mako and i am very, very pleased of its accuracy and beautiful design...sportish and in the same time elegant...a masterpiece!

  • my Orient diver is the most accurate auto watch i ever owned.

    very impressed.

  • This manufacturing processing is amazing! it's hand-made!

  • Mine is CK469B89-BA PR from 1980

  • I own 2 orients the ones that look like the RLX submariner.Dont know how they do it but the quality is superb, and they are astonishly acurate! both cost £108 cupla years ago.

  • Just got in Japan with the skeleton type view of the internal workings- beautiful watch.

  • bought an orient almost a week ago! i love it xD

  • excelente. valoriza ainda mais essas obras prima da engenharia mecanica

  • I am a watchmaker...and i sad becuse les people are buying mechanical watch. Too bad

  • Well, I just bought another mechanical watch! I have two personally.

  • While watches nowadays are battery operated, nothing compares to The artistic quality of the gear run watch. While I do not own an Orient brand watch, I do have an Imperial, and it winds itself (just as this Orient watch does). The weight rotates when worn, which causes the mechanism to be wound. The gear run (battery less) watches and clocks are a dying breed. Truly works of art and engineering.

  • Which caliber from Orient is this? Does anybody know this?

  • You have got to have the hands of a surgeon!

  • The weight (or 'rotor') is used to wind the mainspring by using the action of the wearer's wrist. That is what makes it an 'automatic' watch (rather than a hand wound, say, or a quartz).

(Why are so many comments here aggressive and ignorant?)

  • Also what is the purpose of the weight in a mechanical watch?

  • I cant belive all the stupid pointless comments on this video! This video is a rare and astonishing look into the making of watches, personally Im really amazed.

  • High end Orient & Seiko are the best watches in the world. Nobody can come close to the obsessive compulsiveness of Japanese quality!

  • hahhaa, are you serious? this shows that you know nothing about watches, or ur japanese.

  • FG051287 said "this shows that you know nothing about watches"

Your sentence has a NEGATION (ie. "nothing") word in it. Your FEEBLE attempt to describe some aspect about myself has FAILED because you can't say what I am by attempting to say what I am not. Do you comprehend this basic lesson in GRAMMAR? Or if you are CLUELESS, I can spell it out for you. Strike 1 on your IGNORANCE. You want another stab at it?

  • Well c'mon Mr. "I Know How To Speak English" Boy, post some more words so the whole world can see you make an ass out of yourself with your blind assumptions, racist comments, and lack of English skills.

If you want to be a racist and assume you are talking to someone who is not white and doesn't speak English, then you'd better go back to school and learn some grammar and logical reasoning. You suck at being a racist.

Strike 2 for your ignorance in logic! Are all white people like you?

  • You are retarded saying that. The watches are nice but nowhere near the niceness of the smaller swiss and german companies who actually manufacture their movements, not buy movement companies and slap their brand name on them.

  • Hey retard, just read what you typed moron. The Swiss ARE the ones who actually BUY movements and stuff them in Chinese cases and sell them off with "Swiss" on the label.

Swiss watches are minimum 50% Swiss; the rest can be, and usually ARE Chinese and Latin American parts. Rolex is KNOWN to save money by going down this route and outsourcing some materials and assembling them in-house.

So go learn about Swiss watches before running your stupid mouth!

  • Seiko and Orient make their OWN movements, bracelets, parts, dials, cases and even the lubricants that go into their watches. They are 100% Japan made. The Grand Seiko is BETTER than the COSC Swiss spec and the Spring Drive is the most accurate watch in the world. I've had my Spring Drive running 5 months straight and it only gained +1 second.

Your knowledge on watches is still based in the 1970's. Get with the times!

  • @fatfist Most production of Seiko and Orient except high-end watches are manufactured in Korea, Malaysia and s.o.

  • I'm not talking about the large companies. I mean small companies such as d.dornbluth and sohn, sinn, and nomos.

  • @fatfist IMO not even the Swiss can.

  • @MichiNoName

Sure they can. However, you'll just spend a lot more money for the same level of work.

  • @fatfist the Rolex has.XD

  • great video of a great watch!

  • I love those watches.

  • I bought an Orient watch last year. This automatic watch is amazing. Its accuracy is about +/- 5 secs a day. I paid about 200. What a value. The Swiss better look out!

  • WOW! really love the work that goes into making one of these.

  • El mejor reloj que he tenido...ke padre los hacen, no?

  • Excelentes relojes.Nada que envidiar a los suizos.

  • i have just bought one and its a very accurate watch

  • The precision of the technician installing the peices is like that of a surgeon.

  • Excelente vídeo!!

  • muy bueno

  • Genial!
