You are taking as if the world that had millenia of Greeks, Romans, Persian, Chinese and Indian scholarship was waiting for the illiterate and religiously fanatical Arabs to come out of Arabia to enhance science. There is no such thing as Muslim science. Science has an origin in a place and a time. Most so called Muslim Scientists were Persian or other non-Arabs who were a couple of generations from their pagan forefathers to have been fully Islamised.
The true commonality that those men of letters shared was their heterodoxy vis a vie the Islamic dogma and the fact that their patrons were not exactly the most pious of Muslims. If there is such a thing as an Islamic civilization, it would have sprung up where it was founded and left its mark there. Name me the famous libraries, universities, scientists of medieval Mecca and Medina! Instead you find them a stone-throw from the old capitals of Persia (Baghdad and Samarkand).
Yes, Nestorian Christians living under the later period of the Abbasid Caliphate are the translators. By the end of the Ummayed period, knowledge of Greek, the classics and the Syric language were confined to the Christian community. It is they who shined light after the darkness of Al-Rashidin and Ummayeds. The Abbasid Caliphs who nurtured science and philosophy were more Hellenic than Islamic in disposition and lifestyle.
Thank you.. It's 4am and I have been studying how The QURAN can have "science miracles".. I couldn't belive it, and now I just found you. Thank you, now I understand everything much better.. Please, muslims, REPLY me if you can disprove this video.

Well the reference of 57/25 of Koran and discussion at 2:14 is wrong and there is no translation where it is written that iron comes from the sky or heavens and it is Uttterly Wrong to say it.......It is said it is given to mankind and here i saw a totally different translation that is not right at all
@MrDesiPak read the Abdullah Yusufali translation for Surah 57;25. it states "...and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war,"
that is the miracle of iron most Muslim televangelists and preachers talk about. be it chain mails, poorly made videos (just search for Iron miracle in Quran about what I'm talking about, and what not
"There is absoultely NO evidence that the Prophet went and plagarised from other texts or got his information from someone else.."
Muslims didn't seem to need any evidence to accept that an angel visited Muhammad in a cave, embraced him and told him to "Iqra", and yet they moan for "evidence" whenever anyone challenges their world view.
@TheKap1an Galen's understanding of embryology was, at that time, widely accepted by medical and scientific cultures across Greece, Rome, Egypt, and Persia. The fact that the Quran more or less mentions the exact specifications of embryonic development (and errors) as Galen wrote about centuries before, strongly suggests that Muhammad must have over heard about it during his caravan trips to Syria as a youth. He was a curious fellow.
Quran also states that there are seven heaves too lol.
@MIKAstar79 lol. the fellow who made this video and narrated in it is an exMuslim EGYPTIAN who used to be an islamic school teacher in UK for many years!
well if you are so good at Arabic, then please make a similar video as a response and explain your 'good understanding' of Arabic.
@PakistaniAtheist loool i'm telling u this vedio was made to fool the non arabs ,i'm an egyptian u fool and u want to convince me that this guy was an islamic school teacher ,i agree he is an arab but not a muslim ,he is one of many coptic egyptians who pretend to be muslim over the internet and make such a pathetic vedios to make the non arabs think that muslims r becoming non muslims ,the arabic words r obvious and understandable for us but he just depended on the translation to make his point
@MIKAstar79 lol trust me, he was an Islamic school teacher for many years in UK! He has his own channel on youtube user/discussislam which has now become inactive because of private reasons. he does post on Council of Exmuslims website forum though. You can catch and interact with him there
his online blog is still around. do you want to me PM you the fellow's own internet blog web address to verify?
You are an idiot sir. What evidence do you have as to the origins of this man other than your your own prejudices? Just because you live in a radical society where the local kafirs are demonized all day and suffer greatly for it does not make every challenger of the Islamic dogma a Copt or any other Christian. In fact, some of the best refutation of the Islamic dogma comes from atheist ex-Muslims.
Okay, then YOU supply "the real meanings". And doesn't this reveal exactly how weak Islam is? What kind of god only speaks one language? Why couldn't he reveal the quran to ALL nations in ALL the languages spoken by humanity? Allah must truly be a weak god.
Though I agree with you that the Quran does not have any scientific miracles, I must say that historically, at least, Islam has created an incentive for scientific advancement. Three of the five pillars of Islam require time keeping and also navigation was improved because of mecca being the place where Muslims pray towards. Also, the wazu was what created an incentive for inventions like waterwheels and even a piston driven water collection device which was designed like modern Engines.
@TheDirtyPaki I'm sorry but you are citing absurd examples of supposed 'scientific advancement' in Islam. Islam = Submitting to one god without questioning what he (supposedly) says and orders! Nothing scientific about it.
the water wheels etc had already been invented and in full use from the Ancient Greeks, Romans, and Persians (see Archimedes as an example). These people lived CENTURIES before Muhammad was even born. Time keeping was about discipline, not science, in 7th century arabia
@TheDirtyPaki your comment implies that there was NO SCIENCE in the world before Islam came around! That is a slap in the face of the Greeks, Romans, Persians, Indians, Mesopotamians that had been thriving for more than a thousand years BEFORE Muhammad was even born. Arabia was a back-water of such intellectual acheivment...hell all of the great Muslim Scientists like Ibn Sina etc were not even Arabs...they were PERSIANS or ANDALUSIANS!
even today, Saudi Arabia is a nation of dumbasses with oil
You are wrong. Islam retarded the advance of science by destroying the ancient centers of Greek, Persian and Buddhist learning. Ancient Greeks & Chinese developed mechanical clocks and all cities had sun dials, water and sand clocks. It was the work of Christian translators that brought the ancient Greek, Persian and other near eastern works of science, philosophy and mathematics under the patronage of non-devout Muslim rulers. Puritanical Muslims had no use for these things.
Very impressive sir! Always good to hear a polemicist against Islam who knows the Quran and the Arabic language well.
Most muslims accuse doubters of not understanding the Quran or language of the Quran...which for some reason God thought it was a good choice of language for all humanity for all time.
@WarrenEdwardBuffet not at all. it just proved there is NOTHING uniquely scientific about the Quran as people like Zakir Naik and Harun Yahya would claim. All their claims of Quran predicting future scientific discoveries was shown to be false and ridiculous interpretations of observations made by a supposed illiterate man from a bygone age.
1) The quran copied Galen regarding embryology, which states that bones develop before muscles. In reality, bones and muscles develop simultaneously (both come from the same basic cell, called the Mesoderm cell).
Furthermore, in the Hadith it says, about embryology, that each stage takes 40 days, thus the embryo is formed after 120 days, which is false, look it up.
2) Quran supports the geocentric universe theory, which is false.

This is history, you can't change it and say: "No man, I'm tellin ya, he did know how to write".
I know a self-accomplished Millionaire who can't read and write, how is this possible in 2010, and was impossible 1400 years ago?
Thanks Pakistaniatheist, this is a great video. I enjoyed it a lot. This is one of those issues that muslim friends have often tried to push on me, and I have never quite looked into enough to contradict.
when men land on moon muslims said...its haram u cant think and say this.... then after two months egyptian mullahs gave fatwa that its in quran...9/11 happened.. muslims said no its not muslims job..then they said ..its in quran that some brother of islam will take eveil by horns...every scientific research jews do...muslims say its in quran..if thats so why dont muslims innovent any thing??oh sorry they are the laziest ppl and never build, innovent or discover
@pakiyahoodiify there is nothing called mullah in egypt , and never heard of any one given fatwa about something like this , actually fatwa doesnt mean that anyways ,
and u should go read wat the arab muslim scientists invented when europe was still in dark ages.
A muslim who sits beside me in math trys to convince me Islam is true, he even gave me a book about The science of islam, thank you for making this video!
ah, every time same claiming, muhammed dont know read or write. cant alah made a little miracle and teached him before start the dictation? the jesus discipules had miraculously talked on strange languages... but not learned miraculously how to read or write on strange languages? muhammed that said he dont know how to write, he should just be a liar since the begin of story...
seemed to me that you forgot a simple thing which is Muhammed PBUH didn't know how to write or even how to read.
Anyways, whatever you want to do you have the right to do it, but for me when I read the Quran I feel that I'm reading a real God's words, not a sexual book as when reading the Bible
@darknessLordCC I find the myth of Muhammad being a 100% illiterate as both a joke and also a gross exaggeration given that Muhammad's skills as a well-appreciated trader and merchant in his early years pre-Islam meant he had to have a more than just a basic idea of mathematics, economics, financial transactions, rates, and written language to make sense what of he did was correct.
Is it some 'miracle of Allah' that Muhammad accomplished all of the things I mentioned being illiterate or is it?
@Lucifer986 yes I understand what you are saying :) the Quran was compiled AFTER muhammad died (he forbid it when he was alive) and the Hadith was compiled centuries after his death (he did not want his sayings to be integrated and mixed with quran verses people memorised, wrote down on parchment or bone or leaves).
too much ambiguity for what is regarded as the 'Final Message of God'. lol
@PakistaniAtheist arabic wasn't easy language as it know and the illtracey doesn't mean disable in uae their was many people who where illtrate and where traders fishers doctors and trading in that days didn't requried mathmathical problems and numbers and papers it was by tounge
well you are idiot enough trying to say that Mohammed was not just educated and a scholar .. but he was a good selective man from Greek and Roman's .. wow .. Not only that .. Noo You just SAY THAT .. Men of science in nowadays are idiots who approved the miracle of Embryology .. Really so Idiot
@philosopher28 you seem to forget that Muhammad had EXTENSIVE contact with Greek and Roman traders and artists during his frequent caravan trips to Syria/Levant markets growing up (pick up any Sira and you will find out).
not exactly a 'miracle' when the basics of embryology had already been discussed and formed centuries BEFORE the Quran started coming down on Muhammad. to the ignorant desert arabs it was a miracle because they knew nothing of what the rest of the world already knew before
@PakistaniAtheist so you re saying that Kieth Moore and other Great men of science are wrong .. and you are the Genius who discovered that .. we are talking about things can't be seen unless under microscope .. and you claim Greeks reached them .. WoW .. man .. really you are out of ur mind .. if you have one
@PakistaniAtheist did the romans have microscopes to know what you claim they knew .. you know what .. it seems if Islam was just like Buddhist or any other pagan worship .. no one would go and fight it as you do now .. it makes me so sure that this is the right way ... please go study well .. and don't forget to bow to your Satan who supports you .. IDIOTS
@philosopher28 oh please, enough with your self-righteous b.s. and your pseudo-"philosophy". if you want to have fun debating us and calling us idiots because of your sky daddy issues, then please you are most welcome to visit us at councilofexmuslims(dot)com
@PakistaniAtheist Pseudo Philosophy ... hmm .. well founders of Logic refused the idea of atheism .. i dont know why do you support it while all clues points of a Creator ... but that's ok .. that suit you guys .. PEACE
@philosopher28 then clearly you have not heard of Nietzsche, Camus, Evola, Dennett, Epicurus et al to understand that the idea of atheism is as strong as it can get. the creator clues base of faith and belief and oversimplification in a religious context that has no credibility and simply takes credit for others' works. harun yahya is a joke.
@philosopher28 and they are...? the founders of logic lived in a time when the scientific and philosophical understanding of humans was quite limited. things have changed, things have improved, their theories have been updated and changed and even replaced altogether with theories and principles that make more sense with our current understanding of the natural world and its laws and its evolution.
@PakistaniAtheist Logic have never changed and can't be changed .. it is as if you are telling me they have changed 1+1 = 2 ... and that will be weird ... maybe philosophy have, and many philosophers aren't even examples to even take what they say seriously... anyways ... search for my questions answers or ask debaters how to answer these questions.. (until then) .. Ciao
@philosopher28 looooooooooooooooooooolllllllllllllllllllll which philosophers are they ? now we would call them athiests because they would not agree with religious nonsense
Great informative video !! I imagine it is like the Avicenna and Averroes, 1000 years ago, expanded the knowledge from Greek, Persians, Babylonians and Indians thinkers. I think the same thing happens exactly with Quran, which takes some knowledge from Bible, and from Aristotle, Plato, also from Egyptian/ ancient Hindu creationism, PLUS many stuff from Arabic Folklore and expands further on it to make what is it in the Quran.
@NMRA well thank you lol. But the thing is the narrator's voice is not mine :) As I have said in the video description most of my videos were originally made by user 'discussislam' months back. But because of personal problems he had to take down his videos and offered some of us councilofexmuslims forum members to host them on his behalf without explicitly mentioning his personal details. :)
The Quran is basically a collection of plagiarisms, be it from previous holy books or Greek philosophy. Great video. Whenever I point out these things to Muslims, they always fall back on, "well you don't read Arabic so you're not reading the true Quran, so you can't criticize it." You've put that particular flimsy excuse to bed.
@AHPMB thanks. We at at CouncilofExMuslims forum are undertaking a major project translating an amazing book from Arabic to English written by a former Al-Azhar scholar in his 80s who eventually realised the fallacy of Islam and became an Atheist. The book is titled "My Ordeal with the Quran" and it is perhaps the best sceptic analysis of Quran's perceived flawlessness according to the Arabic speaking CEM members who are now translating it into English :)
@PakistaniAtheist I want to thank you for all those uploads. I am not against any religion but I hate spreading a religion with manipulated claims... It means the propagator is deliberately misleading a potential audience.
As for your project, good luck! But you won't make the Muslim world happy by that :-)
@PakistaniAtheist Please keep us updated on this translation's progress. I have heard precisely the same recoils that AHPMB has, and would be delighted to have these factual bases as a solid defense against this nonsense.
Excellent video. Incredibly informative and comprehensible.
@Slickback83 if allah was real or had any power the original poster would have been immolated a long time ago, since he's still alive; allah does not exist
@Slickback83 Not bad stuff man... Why the heck would God punish a free thinking person? after all, it was He who bestowed freedom of choice... The video doesn't say ANYTHING bad abt Islam... it only says the Muslim scholar's intellectual interpretations are at fault...
You are taking as if the world that had millenia of Greeks, Romans, Persian, Chinese and Indian scholarship was waiting for the illiterate and religiously fanatical Arabs to come out of Arabia to enhance science. @Lucifer986 yes I understand what you are saying :) the Quran was compiled AFTER muhammad died (he forbid it when he was alive) and the Hadith was compiled centuries after his death (he did not want his sayings to be integrated and mixed with quran verses people memorised, wrote down on parchment or bone or leaves).
too much ambiguity for what is regarded as the 'Final Message of God'. lol

well you are idiot enough trying to say that Mohammed was not just educated and a scholar .. but he was a good selective man from Greek and Roman's .. wow .. Not only that .. Noo You just SAY THAT .. Men of science in nowadays are idiots who approved the miracle of Embryology .. Really so Idiot
philosopher28 1 year ago

WoW .. man .. really you are out of ur mind .. if you have one
philosopher28 1 year ago 2
@PakistaniAtheist did the romans have microscopes to know what you claim they knew .. you know what .. it seems if Islam was just like Buddhist or any other pagan worship .. no one would go and fight it as you do now .. it makes me so sure that this is the right way ... please go study well .. and don't forget to bow to your Satan who supports you .. IDIOTS
philosopher28 1 year ago
@philosopher28 oh please, enough with your self-righteous b.s. and your pseudo-"philosophy". if you want to have fun debating us and calling us idiots because of your sky daddy issues, then please you are most welcome to visit us at councilofexmuslims(dot)com

@PakistaniAtheist Pseudo Philosophy ... hmm .. well founders of Logic refused the idea of atheism .. i dont know why do you support it while all clues points of a Creator ... but that's ok .. that suit you guys .. PEACE
philosopher28 1 year ago
@philosopher28 then clearly you have not heard of Nietzsche, Camus, Evola, Dennett, Epicurus et al to understand that the idea of atheism is as strong as it can get. the creator clues base of faith and belief and oversimplification in a religious context that has no credibility and simply takes credit for others' works. harun yahya is a joke.

@PakistaniAtheist I said FOUNDERS of logic
philosopher28 1 year ago
@philosopher28 and they are...? the founders of logic lived in a time when the scientific and philosophical understanding of humans was quite limited. things have changed, things have improved, their theories have been updated and changed and even replaced altogether with theories and principles that make more sense with our current understanding of the natural world and its laws and its evolution.
PakistaniAtheist 1 year ago
@PakistaniAtheist Logic have never changed and can't be changed .. it is as if you are telling me they have changed 1+1 = 2 ... and that will be weird ... maybe philosophy have, and many philosophers aren't even examples to even take what they say seriously... anyways ... search for my questions answers or ask debaters how to answer these questions.. (until then) .. Ciao

All throughout the vid I had the feeling I was listening to Julian Bashir from Deep Space Nine. Lol.
It's a nice voice to listen to.

NMRA 1 year ago
@NMRA well thank you lol. But the thing is the narrator's voice is not mine :) As I have said in the video description most of my videos were originally made by user 'discussislam' months back. But because of personal problems he had to take down his videos and offered some of us councilofexmuslims forum members to host them on his behalf without explicitly mentioning his personal details. :)

Good video..... This must be seen by the Muslims to at least understand how their 'scholars' do mind tricks on them
kokopingo 1 year ago
The Quran is basically a collection of plagiarisms, be it from previous holy books or Greek philosophy. Great video. Whenever I point out these things to Muslims, they always fall back on, "well you don't read Arabic so you're not reading the true Quran, so you can't criticize it." You've put that particular flimsy excuse to bed.
AHPMB 1 year ago

But you won't make the Muslim world happy by that :-)
kokopingo 1 year ago
@PakistaniAtheist Please keep us updated on this translation's progress. I have heard precisely the same recoils that AHPMB has, and would be delighted to have these factual bases as a solid defense against this nonsense.
Excellent video. Incredibly informative and comprehensible.
