Scientific Miracles in the Qur'an? Really?!

You are taking as if the world that had millenia of Greeks, Romans, Persian, Chinese and Indian scholarship was waiting for the illiterate and religiously fanatical Arabs to come out of Arabia to enhance science. There is no such thing as Muslim science. Science has an origin in a place and a time. Most so called Muslim Scientists were Persian or other non-Arabs who were a couple of generations from their pagan forefathers to have been fully Islamised.

The true commonality that those men of letters shared was their heterodoxy vis a vie the Islamic dogma and the fact that their patrons were not exactly the most pious of Muslims. If there is such a thing as an Islamic civilization, it would have sprung up where it was founded and left its mark there. Name me the famous libraries, universities, scientists of medieval Mecca and Medina! Instead you find them a stone-throw from the old capitals of Persia (Baghdad and Samarkand).

Yes, Nestorian Christians living under the later period of the Abbasid Caliphate are the translators. By the end of the Ummayed period, knowledge of Greek, the classics and the Syric language were confined to the Christian community. It is they who shined light after the darkness of Al-Rashidin and Ummayeds. The Abbasid Caliphs who nurtured science and philosophy were more Hellenic than Islamic in disposition and lifestyle.

Well the reference of 57/25 of Koran and discussion at 2:14 is wrong and there is no translation where it is written that iron comes from the sky or heavens and it is Uttterly Wrong to say it.......It is said it is given to mankind and here i saw a totally different translation that is not right at all

The fact that the Quran more or less mentions the exact specifications of embryonic development (and errors) as Galen wrote about centuries before, strongly suggests that Muhammad must have over heard about it during his caravan trips to Syria as a youth. He was a curious fellow.

Quran also states that there are seven heaves too lol.

Though I agree with you that the Quran does not have any scientific miracles, I must say that historically, at least, Islam has created an incentive for scientific advancement. Three of the five pillars of Islam require time keeping and also navigation was improved because of mecca being the place where Muslims pray towards. Also, the wazu was what created an incentive for inventions like waterwheels and even a piston driven water collection device which was designed like modern Engines.

the water wheels etc had already been invented and in full use from the Ancient Greeks, Romans, and Persians (see Archimedes as an example). These people lived CENTURIES before Muhammad was even born. Time keeping was about discipline, not science, in 7th century arabia

You are wrong. Islam retarded the advance of science by destroying the ancient centers of Greek, Persian and Buddhist learning. Ancient Greeks & Chinese developed mechanical clocks and all cities had sun dials, water and sand clocks. It was the work of Christian translators that brought the ancient Greek, Persian and other near eastern works of science, philosophy and mathematics under the patronage of non-devout Muslim rulers. Puritanical Muslims had no use for these things.

1) The quran copied Galen regarding embryology, which states that bones develop before muscles. In reality, bones and muscles develop simultaneously (both come from the same basic cell, called the Mesoderm cell).

Furthermore, in the Hadith it says, about embryology, that each stage takes 40 days, thus the embryo is formed after 120 days, which is false, look it up.

2) Quran supports the geocentric universe theory, which is false.

Great informative video !! I imagine it is like the Avicenna and Averroes, 1000 years ago, expanded the knowledge from Greek, Persians, Babylonians and Indians thinkers. I think the same thing happens exactly with Quran, which takes some knowledge from Bible, and from Aristotle, Plato, also from Egyptian/ ancient Hindu creationism, PLUS many stuff from Arabic Folklore and expands further on it to make what is it in the Quran.

The Quran is basically a collection of plagiarisms, be it from previous holy books or Greek philosophy. Great video. Whenever I point out these things to Muslims, they always fall back on, "well you don't read Arabic so you're not reading the true Quran, so you can't criticize it." We at at CouncilofExMuslims forum are undertaking a major project translating an amazing book from Arabic to English written by a former Al-Azhar scholar in his 80s who eventually realised the fallacy of Islam and became an Atheist. The book is titled "My Ordeal with the Quran" and it is perhaps the best sceptic analysis of Quran's perceived flawlessness according to the Arabic speaking CEM members who are now translating it into English :)
