The endless debate about my guitar is better than yours. I've always enjoyed hearing and playing the blues on a strat-nothing like the sound -clean or overdriven.Then I heard Page & Plant play "since I've been loving you" on youtube and saw a whole other side of a Les Paul. I own one today partly because of this guy,skydog,& solodallas, & that video. I play them both all the time-just depends what I'm playing.
this guy has been on a crossroad, the les paul was evil and the strat was freedom, many other great bluesmen was at that crossroad, it's a thing about growing up and left evil ways for the good ones, right choice brother! and now let's have someone else to go really bad!

I remember when I got divorced, one of the first things I did was Buy a new Fender Custom Shop 57' Relic. I had never had one to that point in my life and I splurged. It was the mark of a new beginning in my life. That time in my life was depressing also. I wished that I could have bought a vintage strat then. I would have been much happier : )

Keep your goldtop chef! Why selling it . I have a gibson and a strat too, need them both like air... and if you want to sell this guitar for real... If its an 68 I am interested :-)
I must agree about hanging onto your LP. I sold my strat from the custom shop 10 yrs ago because I wasn't playing it-boy do I regreat it!! That goldtop thru your amp has great tone,it might not be so easy to find a great match like the one you have. Good luck either way with your decision.

i wouldn't sell the goldtop, you are just going to want one again later. i;ve learned to never sell your guitars, just keep getting more. they are cool. think of all the people who use les pauls live. it doesn't seem to me like they turn to mud. i think 1 strat and 1 les paul is good enough.
