as a very liberal 20 year old i have to say Ron Paul is just plain awesome, i'm Canadian and i'd be happy with him running our country. and Canada is way more liberal on the whole than the us.
As a Canadian I find it sad that the right choice (Ron Paul) is probably not going to run against Obama. The Republican party in your country has no interest in giving up power and money for righteous policies such as Ron's. When we stop policing the world is the day we lose our foreign resources. The reason we started policing the world is because we needed to protect our resources and economy. Withdrawing troops will not lower our defense budget, all it will do is make us lose our foreign economy! If we stop our oil supplies in Kuwait, we could lose our oil supply in Kuwait that supplies a large majority of our oil. I find it so funny that Fox's more brainwashed members (they do have some others who are great people) and the rest of the mainstream media ignored Dr. Paul and tries to make him seem irrelevant. Yet today, who actually cares about McCain, Romney, Giuliani, or watches Huckabee's show? Ron Paul is the one who is relevant today, and his consistent invitations to mainstream shows today shows it. It's amazing how the least mainstream man became mainstream.
Wow.... the "Gays in the Military" question is the only question I have ever heard Ron Paul "dance around". It is easy to hear that his religious beliefs kept him from fully accepting homosexuals in the military, essentially showing a prejudice side I never thought would come out. That being said, he still answered in an intelligent manner, and he is simply the most intelligent candidate there is.
FYI he certainly didn't dance around it when he voted to repeal it. He was one of five republicans that voted to do so during the lame duck session I believe.
@Songofmagi2006 That is good to know. It just surprised me that he answered like that, because he is always so candid in his answers. Maybe he just stumbled with the question, but it did sound like his religious convictions got in the way a tad bit. Still, I don't mind an honest politician who is a devout follower in their own beliefs... that would actually be refreshing (seeing as how many "moral conservatives" both democrat and republican, are as corrupt as they come).

I've always voted 3rd party or Democrat, I have NEVER voted Republican, but in 2012, I'm voting for Ron Paul, whether he runs or not. I'll write him in. @lubegz Obama may be intelligent but the consistency, honesty, and logic of Ron Paul would triumph in a head to head debate. Paul may not be the best at quickly answering a question but he can provide solid (historical) background rooted in facts. I think it would be an eye opening experience to a lot of people who currently support Obama.

When we stop policing the world is the day we lose our foreign resources. The reason we started policing the world is because we needed to protect our resources and economy. Withdrawing troops will not lower our defense budget, all it will do is make us lose our foreign economy! If we stop our oil supplies in Kuwait, we could lose our oil supply in Kuwait that supplies a large majority of our oil. That is just one thing we could lose and for that we should not vote for Ron Paul for president

Wow.... the "Gays in the Military" question is the only question I have ever heard Ron Paul "dance around". It is easy to hear that his religious beliefs kept him from fully accepting homosexuals in the military, essentially showing a prejudice side I never thought would come out. That being said, he still answered in an intelligent manner, and he is simply the most intelligent candidate there is.

Maybe he just stumbled with the question, but it did sound like his religious convictions got in the way a tad bit. Still, I don't mind an honest politician who is a devout follower in their own beliefs... that would actually be refreshing (seeing as how many "moral conservatives" both democrat and republican, are as corrupt as they come).

Here is an idea and if it sounds good please forward it on. Every RP support goes and gets part-time work (baby sitting, mowing lawns, pizza delivery, use your talents and gifts) and saves it until the race for 2012 starts then donates 50% and uses the other 50% for travel to rallies for RP. When we donate that money it needs to be on a single day. The media will have no choice to notice RP if we can donate $10 million or more in a single day.
