I think McGeogh was a huge influence on Robert Smith as well. You can hear Robert using a lot of McGeogh's angular arpeggios and tones on Pornography and later releases.
if only he had never left magazine, in an alternative universe my ears would be no more and i would of died so many more times then i have, drug me and fuck me
I remember John on the Art Foundation course 1974-75, at Thurrock Tech College in Essex, before he went to Manchester. We didn't know each other well, but he was a very interesting painter/printmaker, and we all thought he'd make it big in art ! Obviously, he was multi-talented, and nothing ordinary... Well done, John.
Aztec Fucking Camera???? Don't talk bollocks...In the 80's John McGeoch was heavily involved with Visage, Siouxsie & the Banshees, The Armoury Show and PIL...please inform me otherwise
@XellKamikaze Yes I gathered from watching it a second time, the narrator was a bit different in the way he explains things, puts the emphasis at the end of a statement rather than the beginning. It was the guy from Aztec Camera moving on to form the band Aztec |Camera and not McGeoch, just the way it was explained. Thanks for your input.
Thank you for uploading all 6 parts. You just did a great public service by doing so, honoring such a post punk giant! Among many bands, you can't listen to Radiohead (especially The Bends record) without hearing his influence.

@TalkToTheBody
Aztec Camera was just heavily influenced by his guitar playing. Same goes for Johnny Marr.
