I read they had to modify standard for the big tournament that year to force the inclusion of at least 5 cards from each set in the current standard so the Homelands cards could be showcased.
has the best story of magic and is a simple set not like now i have some retardedly powerful guy for 6 or 7 mana cheaper than baron and more powerful, but no feeling or personality in the card
:P The Baron Sengir will always have a special place in my heart. Homelands is awesome. Will always stay one of my favorite sets no matter how bad the cards are. Still a very good storyline to it.
I really liked Homelands. The cards weren't that powerful, but the story and the design around was great. If Baron Sengir would only cost 6 mana to play, it would be a great card.
Yeah, Homelands was really the last set with a "classic fantasy" setting before Lorwyn. With that an the tribal theme it looks like Lorwyn will be a cross between Homelands and Legions, but better than both.
Homelands is my fav set, seriously... The flavor to it is great. I love how when they preview the cards they do not show the text, good move there. Also what's up with the angel at the beginning? There's no angels in Homelands
Is a commercial or is a PC game ?.

@Vander1980 It was a promotional video for one of the early expansion sets.

Its too bad the set itself fell short of amazing.

They were just that bad :S

At least you can tell what the people/actors look like. :D

I wish they still did stuff like this haha. I miss how tied the storylines were to the cards back in the day.

This looks like a bad B film. It looks fun, but it's just that.

So Prodigal Sorcerer approves Homelands :D
The mentioned Legends weren't that bad, but most of the remaining cards in this set are quite unplayable overall^^

Haha cool. Too young of a player to have played Homelands (only 16), But from what I'm hearing, I don't think I want to.

I bought a Homelands booster once. I had fun opening it, even though the cards were bad.

I quit magic from Homelands and only started again during Kamigawa.
Homelands is a blight on history.

Man, that was so corny... only fitting to something like Homelands. *rolls eyes*

The guide was definitely Prodigal Sorcerer. The beard and hat matches.

To bad the Homelands set sucked. I wish Acopalypse Charms were real and I could destroy all the cards from the set...
