  • Everyone has an SR20 in their fucking Datto or 240SX. Go the FJ20!!!

  • You aren't fooling anyone, this is just a backroad in the middle of nowhere. Ain't nobody's property.

  • SR sounds so sweet

  • driftkid549 a dick!!!

  • SR20 FTW!!

  • @xD2G SR20 for the win, but in reality the FJ20 WILL win, lol.

  • FJ20 is old school.

  • i am wondering... can u use the same gearbox on your sr20 and the fj20? and is it the same engine mounts on the sr20 as it is on the fj20? im just wondering, because i got a 200sx s12 with a broken fj20e engine, and i want to put in a sr20det

  • the last guy said it the best .i own both and personally i like the fj. id rather uze it but im thinking more toward the sr now mainly because its the 21st centuary.parts ect BUT i still like the fj and its only personal pref

  • the FJ20 is bulletproof for what it is and for the time that it came out. its a wicked engine. you can push 700hp out of any engine it all comes down to how you build it and what specs and parts you are using. people still use FJ20s because its their personal preferance and they know all the weakspots and strengths in their own engine. any one can go grab an 800hp turbo and wack it on the side of their engine and pump the boost up and watch engine go bang

  • the sr20 done a way better skid then the fj20 sounds better aswell

  • Yeah, ok, if you like the sound of farts

FJ20's don't break rockers, SR's do. 'Nuff sed

  • haha i dont see no fj20 doin regular 7sec pass down the quater mile either 'Nuff said

  • I guess you like the sound of farts then..... quarter times count for dick in the real world, kid. you try driving a 7sec SR everyday. you'll want to burn the car after a day.

  • what u say homo sr20 more reliable an stronger then fj20. why do 90% of the 2.0l cars in the drift series all run sr20?? they are proven more reliable then an rb from factory

  • because there is 9000% more aftermarket support for the SR than for anything else. I don't like SR's because I had a Bluebird with a built SR20DET, and it did little but cost me money when it broke. And it did break. Frequently. At 15psi making 250rwkw.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Just because you're an SR fanboy doesn't mean everyone else has to be. Grow up.

  • well u just fucked urself in the ass by saying that ur the one who started this argument now u tryna say that everyone has there own opinion

  • @driftkid549 You spell the word "you" with a letter "U", this lets EVERYONE on this page know that whatever you say is complete and utter bullshit. 480 wheel horsepower to your mom, lol!

  • @driftkid549 Well I'll tell you what I see: current Australian record 4-cylinder is an FJ20ET. Another lose for the SR. Bye now, fanboy. Hey hey, you mad bro?

  • Oh an by the way if u think that sr20s break easily u r wrong my mates gotta 480hp at the wheels sr20 with stock internals running 20psi been going strong for 2years now an thats been getting thrashed everyday. its all on who builds the engine

  • @driftkid549 480hp at the wheels with stock internals. Lol. Your kidding right. The engine wouldn't last 10 minutes with that much power and stress. Sure they can be built strong, but talk facts and not bullshit.

  • @davesstr "FJ20 valve train design is also found in several motorcycle engines, it has a rev-happy over-square bore/stroke, combined with a stout forged bottom end, and wide bore spacing, the FJ20's strength is legendary"- wikipedia. FJ20's are VERY strong internals. Can and will handle 500 hp+++ standard internals and still be reliable. but hey only way to prove it to you is to do it yourself hahaha

  • @xb3000 Yeah I knew the FJ20 have a heaps better valvetrain set up then the SR20.

The fastest 4 cylinder in a Australia was a FJ20ET powered. Haven't looked for ages but it probably still is.

  • @davesstr You're an idiot, lol. Just stop talking... you don't know engines too well.

  • @brapboys503 Hey moron, where was I wrong ? I know my Nissan's. Do everyone a favour and piss off.

  • @davesstr Yep you said the SR is better. It's pretty much even. Old school reliable FJ or new school semi-reliable BOOST the hell out of it SR.

  • @brapboys503 I never said the SR was better. The FJ20ET is a better engine I said. Better valvetrain for starters. Old design, but bulletproof. SR20's are alright, but in my opinion. The FJ20ET is stronger and a better design.

  • @davesstr Oh okay, I posted my comment to the wrong person. All I've ever owned is Nissans, Subarus, and Volkswagens, and have worked on every drivetrain setup under the Sun. RR, FR, MR, FF, I've done it all. Right now I own a 1970 Datsun pickup that's being tore down and restored, and being readied for a FACTORY stock KA24DE with a 5-speed and a 240SX viscous LSD. I'm not much of a racer anymore (grew out of street racing, but the track is fun), so I'm building for reliability.

  • @driftkid549 BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA "stock internals" at 20 psi? The fucking head would fly through the hood the instant you brought it into boost.

  • which ones faster the sr or fj

  • love the 1600s wel 510 in america. but i love the sr20det more lol

  • yea please find out as ive got a 310.gota sr and fj lying around wanta put the lightest 1 in but if a coupla kg in it ill go with the fj

  • hey,

    Fj20et weights about 166kg

    Sr20det weighs about 149kg

Go with the Sr, it gives you more bang for your buck and is alot more responsive.

  • wats the weight diff like in a 510 between the 2 ive owned both engins but in diff cars so i cant compare

  • im not ganna lie to you mate i wouldnt have a clue... ill try and find out tho

  • those are some sick 510's. i hav one in my garage that i want to fix up. i'm either goin to run a sr20 in it or do another vg30 like my old datsun i used to have.

  • sick dattos

  • lol thanks dude
