These last two episodes: Unconventional? Yes. Bad?? No! Whoever thinks this is actually bad is looking at terms of production, not by terms of writing and philosophy. So, why don't you go watch Naruto if you want cliche high production crap? It's such a rare treat to see real artistic value in an anime and I'm so sick of people who continually choose to ignore Eva's weak aspects and totally ignore it's strong points.

It's people like this for why the anime market is dominated by kids crap.

@TickingHand Perhaps bad is strong of a word, but mediocre definitely. It failed completely to wrap up a number of plot points, destroyed the established flow of the series, crammed at least ten episodes of content into two, had the afore mentioned by you poor production value, and worse of all, ends on an ambiguous note that seemed to take place in an entirely different universe. If I just wanted to be fed philosophy, I would have read "Psychology of the Unconscious" by Jung.

@kyokokat123 I hate these episodes too. They're pretentious as hell (mainly because they take place completely in the minds of the characters) and extremely badly made (though it's this way because the animators ran out of money for a proper conclusion.)

End of Evangelion is the true ending to the series (replacing or complementing episodes 25 and 26), so watch that. :)

Breaking out in a cold sweat out of sheer irritation as I watch this. I feel bukkake'd with stupid, inept, and seemingly random words...and at the same time feel expected to be grateful for the abuse and insult to my intelligence.

The problem isn't that I don't get it. The problem is that I do. The Emperor is naked, people. Naked. Go read some Plato, some Descartes...some _real_ philosophy....a ketchup bottle has more depth and meaning than this.
