You guys can say what you want but white athletes have always been fast. Ppl say that a white athlete has never ran under 10 secs. Hmm remember that it is always someone that will be faster than you and we have not publicly timed them all. I raced my friend who is a young short white man and he smoked me the first time. I came back to win the next 3 races but not by much. I bragged to ours friends at our college and he raced about 6 tale black guys and smoked them all. Speed is Speed.

I think he's just trying to say its RARE for white guys to go fast. Blacks actually are genetically better at running, you can Google it if you don't believe me.

speed is speed, and speed has no color just like intellegence...but you can escape history. No white person ever ran under 10sec. However any person that runs under 11 sec is fast, but under 10sec is on another level

It might be a more accurate statement to say that no white guy has been TIMED under 10 seconds. I know it is not like this but if every white guy on earth was timed this week, we all might be surprised at the outcome.

@bentleycoup that is the politically correct thing to say in fact I should have said "officially timed" because they could have timed that during practice...But if your saying that if you time all the white guys in the world I would be surprised...not sure about that. Its similar to the black guys in the world..If they are not elite, they are not running anywhere near under 10 sec. The white elite athletes who trainned never hit a time under 10sec. Maybe soon, but it is what it is.

From what I understand, Jared did a 10.03 in practice recently (last couple of weeks)... If he gets the right conditions, warm dry weather with a legal wind, I can see this season being the year he does a 9.9 something. It's too bad the race in Toronto with Bolt was not a fast race in good conditions, as that would have been the ideal time to do it.

I watched 2008 Beijing Olympics and saw Jared competed in Sprint Event. Though Jared did not make it to the podium, he seemed in control, polite and humble when he was interviewed by a CBC reporter. I believe Jared will do better come 2012 London Olympics.

Jared Connaughton is real. I did some research on the internet and he is a fast-rising Sprinter from Canada. He is the son of Susan and Neal Connaughton and resident of New Haven, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Jared Connaugthon is a sprinter who attends and competes in the NCAA at The University of Texas at Arlington, which is part of the Southland Conference. He was named the 2006 Southland Conference Track and Field athlete of the year both indoors and outdoors.
