  • i would've stolen the bike while everyone crowded around Matt ;)

  • HOW CAN THIS NOT BE A 900?

some people is really blind :o

  • i was there......ahhhhh, memories

  • i know him. he came to my school last year. he is a awesome flatlander

  • HE PULLED OF A 900 NOT AN IMMPOSSIBLE YA FUCK ANOUNCER

  • @Robertnuns Yep, you just saw a piece of history and still one of the biggest tricks, even now!

  • @Robertnuns it was back then........thats what first time ever means

  • i think matt hoffman is the rodney mullen of bikes

  • Dominguez tried them before mat but he never landed them in public and he would never comment wether he had landed them in private or not. He eventually had to retire from injuries caused by his constant trying

  • @spackerandy with respect but i was around back then im 1988 plus around 2001 in the RIDE magezine interview he agian was titled with the 900 first to try first to land a couple day in day out . once again with respect . go mat !

  • does anyone know where i can find footage of matt hoffman doing the first handrail...you would think it would be on here...thats some legendary shit...

  • this is 720... -.-

  • His controller sensitivity was on 10.

  • that was so cool.

  • awesome .. I remember going to a 2-hip show way back when - and got one of those t-shirts ...

  • lol

  • hah bet he got trampled on did he live?

  • i need websites for bike sive been to danscomp but their bikes are to heavy

  • of course it was a 900

  • Ahem, if he did a 720 he would land backwards as you would doing a 360. Now 360 x 2 = 720, so he would land backwards. A 900 is 360 x2 with a 180. So yes this was a 900.

  • retard

  • wow!! 900 with a skateboard is nice but with a bike is INSANE!!

  • 900 on a skateboard is WAY HARDER. Think about it. You've got your arms to help rotate and landing is exponentially easier on a bike compared to skateboard; sitting vs. standing. This looks about 1990: BMX bikes on ramps was a new thing at this point. It took decades of progression on vert ramps before anyone could even consider attempting a 900 on a skateboard.

  • First off 900 on anything is hard... Secondly BMX bikes have been riding ramps almost as long as skateboard, bikes were very popular at all the cement parks on the early 80's. Which is way more crazy, those parks were sick with about two feet of vert and a lot quicker transitions, watch some footage from Del Mar, things steep. If anything stuff got easier in the 90's when people stopped making ramps with 8 foot transitions and started using 10 foot.

  • @mcfoolface you fall on a 900 on your bike you are probably going to be injured and maybe in the hospital. You fall on a 900 on your skateboard, you are just tired but you can get back up and try it again. You are still bringing a bike with you in part of that 900 degrees. And lets keep in mind what year you are talking here, those bikes werent exactly the light bikes of today. Nor is it wood like skateboarding. Its bike with wheels, pegs and not to mention their helmet weighs more.
