If you think THIS is interesting then you need to consider what the Impact and Exit Event theory has to say. The theory is a facinatingly new concept which adopts and refines Plate Tectonics while acknowledging the possibility of some of what is in the above video. In my opinion the impact and exit event has expanded our understanding of what causes plate tectonics, and what is likely to happen to Earth in the future. Well worth a read.
Just think if today the land masses were like this, no USA,UK,Africa,China, Russia etc, just one big country, or do you think there'd be different tribes ruling parts of land, so back to being different countries on 1 land mass, or just 1 country that speaks the same language, 1 culture etc? Mind boggling. Imagine if Jupiter were our home, how long it would take to fly from the South Pole to the North Pole with present day flight! Continents (HIGHLANS) are directly antipodal to an oceanic basin depression (LOWLAND), which means when the Earh formed from a plasmosphere it subdivided into negative & positive charged convection zones (like the Sun) & a negative zone is always antipodal to a positive zone where one recesses magmatic material & the other ascends the material. @dg1967: So that's an "I don't know" to both questions. It's a start. The first part of your response is answered easily. Crustal granite is much less dense than the basaltic mantle material. The same being a hot, viscous substance, the crust floats like the scum on soup that has been cooked too long, or the slag in metal refining. Additionally, the diameter of the earth has been known since ancient times to within about 1% accuracy.
Really as far as knowing no one really know and thats why its a theory . I have heard your explanation before and its not something that I believe to have happened . There is no tracks of continents pushing the floor apart leaving tracks of thier movements. Also no mountain ranges in front of the continents as it moves forward like dragging a huge rack though sand. On the other hand

Outside of QED which only happens on a very small scale there is no method which could produce such an expansion over such a short period. Having an open mind is one thing, but to not filter what goes in via critical thinking means you accept a lot of junk as fact. Remember that the source of this expanding earth theory is a comic book artist.
On the other hand and this is proven there is huge cracks on the bottom of the ocean that are spreading even now at about two to five inches a year separating Africa from south America and many more in the pacific. the continents can drift by earthquakes, volcanoes, etc. Also, the Earth does expand from underwater volcanoes. The lava cools and makes a new crust, forcing the land around it to spread.

In other words, earthquakes and volcanoes are a result of the movement of tectonic plates (which can consist of both continental crust and oceanic crust - to say just continents is not true).
@davidgran1967 From what I know, continents don't drift. What drifts is the tectonic plates which can include both oceanic and continental crust. So in other words, it is incorrect to say continents drift.

coming towards the star do. This way the light bends at the same time it

Nope. Continents (HIGHLANS) are directly antipodal to an oceanic basin depression (LOWLAND), which means when the Earh formed from a plasmosphere it subdivided into negative & positive charged convection zones (like the Sun) & a negative zone is always antipodal to a positive zone where one recesses magmatic material & the other ascends the material. So when the Earth cooled the ocean basins (LOWLANDS)are directly opposite on the sphere to the continents (HIGHLAND). Thus c-drift never happened.

Actually, Atlantis is the landmass we call Antartica; it was buried beneath the southern ice cap during the first cosmocataclysm to hit the Earth, mass celestial bombardment cause when our paternal star, Sirius B, then a blue supergiant, received a cometary impact (Comet Metis). The Earth was sprayed with ejecta debris that caused a pole shift (the Brazilian Highlands were the original north pole, hence they have a glaciated past) & this caused the Noachian Worldwide Flood. That is right ! I dont believe in the Pangaea theory, its out dated and has many holes in it. Am of the believe in the expanding earth theory. it makes more sense to me. Am not saying am right am just saying I believe this theory over the old one. It been a theory and not really proven one way or another its just a believe.

Well I'm not a geologist or geographer but I can ask you the same kind of question. how do continents drift though solid rock and how is it that they match so well when you implode them as shown in the graphics and elastration of the expanding earth video I for my self will keep an open mind and say they are both theories but am weighing in the side of the expanding earth theory

@dg1967: So that's an "I don't know" to both questions. It's a start. The first part of your response is answered easily. Crustal granite is much less dense than the basaltic mantle material. The same being a hot, viscous substance, the crust floats like the scum on soup that has been cooked too long, or the slag in metal refining. Additionally, the diameter of the earth has been known since ancient times to within about 1% accuracy.

Really as far as knowing no one really know and thats why its a theory . I have heard your explanation before and its not something that I believe to have happened . There is no tracks of continents pushing the floor apart leaving tracks of thier movements. Also no mountain ranges in front of the continents as it moves forward like dragging a huge rack though sand. On the other hand

@dg1967: To continue. For the earth to expand would require the addition of material to the center. Outside of QED which only happens on a very small scale there is no method which could produce such an expansion over such a short period. Having an open mind is one thing, but to not filter what goes in via critical thinking means you accept a lot of junk as fact. Remember that the source of this expanding earth theory is a comic book artist.

On the other hand and this is proven there is huge cracks on the bottom of the ocean that are spreading even now at about two to five inches a year separating Africa from south America and many more in the pacific. So expansion is happening. Needing more material could be required for the earth to expand but really this processes that happened we are incapable of understanding of just yet. And that is why its a theory.

As far as the source being a comic book artist how many millions have you made? No one man is an island and to exclude his research because he has made millions in comic books Would make your explanations even less worthy of consideration .

the continents can drift by earthquakes, volcanoes, etc. Also, the Earth does expand from underwater volcanoes. The lava cools and makes a new crust, forcing the land around it to spread.

@disturbed131001 Actually, I believe earthquakes and volcanoes are caused by the movement of tectonic plates caused by convection. In other words, earthquakes and volcanoes are a result of the movement of tectonic plates (which can consist of both continental crust and oceanic crust - to say just continents is not true).

@davidgran1967 From what I know, continents don't drift. What drifts is the tectonic plates which can include both oceanic and continental crust. So in other words, it is incorrect to say continents drift.
