I don't get why the government would cover up her being shot. Given the fact that you can see a gunman and see him fire, and there was an explosion. Whether they killed her through gunshot or explosion or by proxy, they are still responsible for her death.
I'm not too sure either...perhaps it is because protecting someone from a suicide bomber is far more difficult then making sure no one climbs on the back of the candidates SUV. The latter represents a far greater lapse in security while the former may have been impossible to prevent, given the mass of people there. Thus going with the explosion theory lessons the responsibility of the government in this event.

What about this...?? The suicide bomber knew of the asassin but the asassin did not know of the bomber. The bomber was there to insure her demise if the asassin failed. and also to kill the asassin and leave no one to interrogate. They are seen close to each other but not together. the bomber was the plan A & B

the govt did not lie about her death. the doctors have issued a statement saying that they don't know how she died, since, her family did not allow them to do a full autopsy. the bullet story cannt be accepted totally without an autosy, since, they didnt find any foreign element in her head or neck. the govt just gave one version of events. not necessarily a lie. perhaps both happened...she was shot then hit her head against the lever.

no family would want their relative's body dug from the grave, autopsied, and placed back in the grave.. how torturing for the family. they shouldve done the autopsy before she was buried.

mate, think u r confused. zaradri didn't allow an autopsy before she was buried! now, when they have started making allegations (which cannot be endorsed by doctors since no autopsy was allowed by benazir's husband) against the govt..they govt has asked them to allow the body to be exhumed and an autopsy be done thereafter. yet they say no. so perhaps they shud just agree that no one knows how she died.

Democracy in Pakistan? Some people really need to stop watching mainstream news. Pakistan is much too uneducated to support successful democratic institutions. A firm hand like Musharaf is needed for some time before becoming a republic. Now is not the time.

Simple things like not allowing her to be exposed like that would have prevented this. I don't know what she was thinking. I don't think Pakistani people needed a martyr right now, just a new person in power to bring changes... anyway, let's hope Bush does something of this sort and gets shot.

I don't get why the government would cover up her being shot. Given the fact that you can see a gunman and see him fire, and there was an explosion. Whether they killed her through gunshot or explosion or by proxy, they are still responsible for her death.

I'm not too sure either...perhaps it is because protecting someone from a suicide bomber is far more difficult then making sure no one climbs on the back of the candidates SUV. The latter represents a far greater lapse in security while the former may have been impossible to prevent, given the mass of people there. Thus going with the explosion theory lessons the responsibility of the government in this event.

Anyone who doesn't believe the bullet hit her, must see and listen carefully from 1:55 (1 min 55 sec) into the video.
The prime cause of death determines direction of investigation. Bomb will take investig. to militants and bullet will take investigation elsewhere.
Besides, the suicide bomber and the shooter probably didn't even know the other was present. The master planner, whoever that may be, may have used influence to send suicide bomber to eliminate evidence and kill the shooter.

the video certainly doesn't prove she was hit cuz its quite normal for a person to duck as a response of hearing gunshots..
