man...that is so true about the puppet thing...and what lilpaper umbrella said...no kid wants to listen to some guy in a suit or puppets or some shit like that
NO! The reason most kids want to do drugs is because those commerials are so stupid. I remember a long long time ago when I was in 4th or 5th grade a bunch guys in crappy costumes came to our school. 'Croozy the Cougar' was smoking and telling all the other happy-ass creatures it was "cool". Later, he stops and they all dance, or something like that. If you have stupid little puppets and crap telling children that drug "aren't cool", their gonna think it's cool to disobey.
My mom was a teacher in the 1960s, and she still shudders visibly when she remembers the day one of her little students brought in some of his mom's red "Smarties" (candy-coated chocolate "beans", if you don't live in Canada or the UK) and shared them around. They turned out to be iron pills.
You know what the problem is? They're not pills, they are puppets that are too cute, of course little kids won't eat "them". But real pills don't look anything like those things. They should instead make commercials for adults telling them that young kids can't tell the difference between pills and candy, especially when there is a stray pill on the floor (where's that message here?).
