Those who say Cain's 999 plan will raise taxes is just being ignorant and simple minded. Consider what Cain has explained and do the math. 9% personal income tax, bring our payroll taxes down from 15% to 9%, meaning more money for us. A 9% corporate tax, bringing corporate taxes down from around 40%, which will drastically lower the prices of all goods. And a 9% sales tax which REPLACES the hidden taxes currently embedded in everything we buy. Has nothing to do with the state taxes.
You can tell that all these candidates are going down! Offer solution - stop focusing on problems. No wonder all these candidates are crashing! Remember Dole using the same strategy to attack Bill Clinton. He fell at the stage; leading to failing at his election. Same will happen to all these toxic GOP candidates. Watch and see come 2012 elections.
My advice for all of you is to make a deliberate effort to find things that are wrong with each of these candidates and vote for the least marked. The truth is seldom welcome when presented in raw form. One note. They all talk about themselves except or Ron. They all say "I did this" or " I opposed' or " when I worked for Regan I..." whereas Ron says "we ought to" and "we should do this" It's a minor distinction but I feel it goes to his humble character.
Repealing the federal minimum wage would allow job creation for the people that need jobs the most. The "business experience" credential is of no benefit to the masses once that experience is being focused in politics. Without a solid understanding of the consequences of economic & social policies, private sector success doesn't make a politician any more or less effective. Don't buy into that credential or other distractions. If their policy positions don't earn your vote, nothing else should.
Who said, "You're not going to be president forever." ? It sounds like Ron Paul to me, but other places online people think it was Newt Gingritch (which seems out of character for him.)
None of them want to cut Medicare. That means none of them are serious about deficit let alone debt reduction. Mitt Romney's policies are also very similar to Obama's, if you read his plan. Ron Paul has never gotten above the ~15% favoribility rating, but he's run for president several times, so people do not give him much weight. But any one of these candidates could likely beat Obama, if the consumer confidence index rating stays low, according to the statistical trend that some take as law.
Id obama wins again ill concede the fact that most Americans are retarded and a lost cause. My vote says for paul regardless of what the "mainstream media" wants you to think is leading the polls.
The Fed is a banking cartel and controls most of these people. The only man who will keep us out of the Agenda 21 Treaty is Ron Paul and maybe Bachman.

Though, you must be a philosophical, diplomatic debater for us to face off.-- you can't be mixing points, as you did here; it'll be a waste of my time. I happen to think Paul has some good ideas, just not presidential!
@jaedeed I honestly don't get why people are so against Ron Paul. He delivered over 4,000 babies, he saw the economic collapse in 2002, he's married to the same woman for over 50 years, he's never flip flopped on an issue for 30 years, he's the father of five children, he's not backed by any corporations, and he's for our liberty. WHAT do you want from him?
@drunkdonutboy Dr. Paul is everything our country needs right now. Unfortunately, he's not a polished speaker. Part of the reason for that is I believe, because he gets SO little time to talk, he tries to blurt out his message before they cut him off. That leads some folks to label the good Dr. as 'rambling.' Fact is, none of the candidates can hold a candle to Dr. Paul when it comes to knowledge of the U.S. Constitution and American History.
@drunkdonutboy Another case of people deliberately missing my point on Paul. I did not question the man's policies. I asked that those annoying youngsters let him make a case for himself. As per your question: I'd like to see him be more presidential, less of a whiner, more assertive/arrogant, that's his core problem! It's similar to a dude who constantly compliments a woman that doesn't like him <- he will never get no love! Plus, some of his ideas, though good, are simply not the American way.
@jaedeed And what *is* the American way, jaedeed if not good ideas? You're deliberately saying good ideas are not the 'American way' can't say that I'm surprised. And this foolish adjective, 'presidential'...I wish less people would start spewing this nonsense out. What the hell does that even mean? And he makes the case for himself just fine. I'm also floored that you would want a man to run a country who is more 'arrogant'...completely fucking FLOORED...you're part of the problem.
@drunkdonutboy Fact: the American way is that we DO NOT say let's let all countries dispute their political turmoils among themselves (when it affects America); let's remove all our military bases from the world... plus a bunch of other things this man suggests. Never been that way, never will be. Now, here is the philosophical facet of my argument, though: I do not disagree with his approach. You assume I disagree! I simply say it's not the American way. Can you wrong me on that?
@jaedeed Haha, that's such a grand disillusionment that we base icons like Captain America and war propaganda around. We've done it before and intervention only worsens the problems. A good example of this was Saddam, the United States' Frankenstein.
@drunkdonutboy As per my call for him to be more assertive (though you want to stress on the term arrogant), it is simply a fact that he needs to be. He strikes most as a whiner, when he needs to "assert". He focuses too much on the existing 'wrongs' than the 'goods' he should be intent on doing. Also, the world has long rejected the 'cumbaya' approach. Whether u like it or not, it pays to be arrogant in this world. It's human's nature to prey on the nice guy. That's why u rarely see a nice CEO!
@jaedeed I stressed it because it was probably the most disturbing thing you said. And I'm glad he doesn't 'assert' his views with empty rhetoric. If you want balls look at the man's voting record. He doesn't have to prove jack because he's living proof. I'm sure arrogance will serve you well.
@drunkdonutboy I'm sure you're aware that 'arrogant' is also synonymous to 'confident', 'proud', 'self-important', etc. So, no need to only stress on the negative connotative sense of the term. My point is, he sounds more like a Michelle Bachman, whom I couldn't stand, who would sit there and just whine about what is wrong (involving Obama) every time she opens her mouth. Also, being a "living proof" will not cut it when one is running for president; one needs to assert and make his/her case.
U r wrong, ones does need to prove! Just because u know his record, doesn't mean the guy in Kauai, Hawaii does. Having balls in person counts more than in voting records; hence, a Reagan vs a Carter. In this world, there's 'the way things ought to be', which seems to be u & Paul's philosophy - & 'the way things are', which is the reality of life; e.i, most would love that there be a Abrahamic God who sees me write you this right now; but 'the way things are' is: there simply is not such a thing!
They all get it? That's interesting. All Bachman talks about is how Obama's healthcare bill kills jobs and needs to be repealed. The strange thing is job numbers sucked years before the healthcare bill came along. So how about actually giving a real plan.
Jesus...how much time and effort have you people spent saying "Ron Paul is amazing" and "999 is 666 upside down" over and over again? The comments on these videos are the most redundant and useless collection of talking points I've seen in my life.
I didn't think I could be so disgusted by all these comments, so I'll find common ground: All of these candidates are better than Obama by such a longshot it's ridiculous. I wish Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich got to speak more. It was quite restricted to Cain, Romney, and Bachman.
This wasn’t a bad debate, but it was Perry, Romney, 999, Perry, Romney, Perry, Romney, 999, not a lot of Bachmann or Gangrich, but a shut down of Santrum and Paul. That’s how the questions came out and that is how the air time went down. Cane and his 999 is a joke and got twice as much air time as Paul. Perry and Romney are not “all of that and a box of Cackle Jack’s”, yet had the most air time. I’d like to see Bachmann before Perry or Romney. I'll stick with Ron Paul in 2012. Thank you
This is ridiculous. America is screwed if the people are too stupid to realize that they are being forced to vote for the president that is chosen for us by the corporations. Most of the candidate’s ideas to save our economy are to raise taxes on the rich or increase regulations. These are the reason were in this mess to begin with. Only one candidate wants to reduce govt. reduce taxes and end the wars.
I will vote to restore the constitution. Only this can save the future for our children.
With Cain's 9-9-9 plan, someone who is low income who spends all of their money each month will get taxed twice on all their income--once when they make it and once when they spend it. The wealthy will not spend most of their money each month so won't be taxed twice on it. Instead they can invest it, and since Cain wants no capital gains tax, they can make money on it for the rest of their lives without ever paying a dime in tax on it. It's another scam where the rich get richer.
Cain's 999 plan which creates a national sales tax will raise the prices on all the goods and services we buy by 9%. Most states already have a state sales tax so this is a form of double taxation. Given that people's purchasing power has already been diminished what with declining real wages, this will hurt low-income families the hardest. And it may be counterproductive because it will cause people to cut down on their shopping even more, thus reducing the sales tax collected.
They are all liars. Cain's 999 is ignorance. Thats all he knows. All others are hot hair. With the exception of Paul, none will do what they say. They are all Corporate yes men and women. Disgusting!
I'm not for any party, but Obama is going to crush whomever the Republicans choose to represent them in any debate. This reminds me of the 2004 Presidential race--I didn't like Bush, but I didn't like Kerry even more, so my vote will be another lessor of two evils--poor America :(!!!
@bamseehunter You just confirmed what I call the "Kerry Effect". When an unpopular candidate runs against an unpopular incumbent, the latter will most likely win because voters will either not vote (and low voter turnout usually favors the incumbent) or stick with the devil they know. Rather than vote for someone you don't like, I encourage you to pick a third party that best represents your views. That's what I've done since 2000 and what I will do again next year.
@bamseehunter I don't agree - I think Ron Paul would CRUSH Obama IF Obama was not fed the questions , given the prepared and answers and they took his teleprompter awat. Ron Paul actually has a brain , a consistent voting record , integrity and cannot be bought . I'll take that over O who ran on a platform of ending the wars and started more . Ron Paul WILL bringthe troops home as Commander-in-Chief . That's enough for me .
At the very end of this segment...Cain says " Since i will be president, I won't sign anything that raises my 9-9-9 percentage"...and then you hear Ron Paul say..."you're not going to be President forever..."
@vizjion3 Cain's ONE issue ,his phony 9-9-9 plan is all he has going for him.I agree there needs to be tax reform, but we need to close the loopholes for the rich ,raise capital gains tax,etc Herman's plan would actually tax the lowest wage earners MORE than they pay now ! If enacted , it WOULD rise annualy - Ron Paul is no fool. He is the only one with knowledge of Austrian economics, 30 yr consistent record, would bring home troops, audit the Fed,curtail foreign aid, restore civil liberty.
"This country is on life support, my plan is bold. My plan do away with current tax code and implement my 9 - 9 - 9 plan."
THis is what Cain have been saying on all his debate. It's catchy, but why does he bother coming to different debate if he's not gonna say anything else?
@bucnomore11, The commentator was going in alphabetical order with the candidates, and skipped over Romney. They were just laughing about that little mistake.

Everyone here please do TWO things before you vote for President:
1. Please view the animated film "The American Dream" on Youtube. It's free.
2. Please read "How an Economy Grows and Why It Crashes by Peter D. Schiff (May 3, 2010) about $12 from Amazon.
Please, everyone, regardless of your political beliefs and affiliations, do these two things BEFORE you decide on your candidate for President.
