Great video. But you never go wrong with close-ups and facial expressions if you have two of more cameras But i can see that you only had one just like in my wrong video. Great picture composition.
Great expression in dynamics, great effects,I don't know how it's called that bouncing on the strings it's very functional here in this piece. Pizzicato also very nice,I like the whole performance, very musical, great use of space. greets Vic.
Kyle, this is a wonderful piece: the harmonic glissandi have been used very tastefully and to great effect, and the fragmentary juxtaposition of your contrasting ideas is very effective. Her playing is fantastic: very expressive and rich tone. Well done to both of you! I look forward to hearing more of your compositions :)
I very much enjoyed this i found myself listing to it over and over it has a nice variety of techniques that work very well together thanks so much for sending me a link for it!
@Amiduffer Purpose!?!? It has the same purpose as an enormity of music: to be beautiful and express emotionally. I'll will admit that this piece is much abstract but I find it incredibly moving. My apologies for my english =)
@RumMyers Composers like Bach and Beethoven composed with the purpose of uplifting mankind. Wagner and Liszt composed for the purpose of driving people insane. So again, what is the purpose of the composers intentions?
@Amiduffer Bach and Beethoven certainly did write much music with this intention, but suggesting every little work was with this goal is a little much. The "Rage Over a Lost Penny Rondo"'s purpose was to uplift mankind? Bach mostly wrote to praise God in church services.
And just because Liszt and Wagner used newer harmonies does not mean that all of their music existed to cause insanity. I do not know this piece's intentions, but I doubt that Mr. Hovatter meant it to be so specific.
Yeh this is a great composition and the player plays with great feeling and interprets the piece well, not clunky at all.Reminds me a bit of Bartok and that eastern european stuff.Great work.
Beautifully written and performed. Thank you for sharing dear Friend. Best Wishes for 2011. Added to favourites and your playlist with Love & Appreciation:)
When a bully broke my nose and I was age 6, my grandfather bought me a punching bag ... I punched, then he held it and told me, "Hit him harder. No, hit him HARDER" And one day I did. Bullies never bothered me again.
Pa-pa also taught me how to drive a nail. He was a carpenter and a good man, truly. Sometimes grandparents do what parents can't. In some way, I understand your love, Kyle. I'm sure Jack's different, but every bit as special and dear 2u as mine was. Wish'n the best to him. Thanks!

Pretty good. It's a little too contemporary for my taste, but the harmonics in it are beautiful.

Wow, this is really mature writing (not to mention playing). Very idiomatic stuff, never feels laborious.

On a scale from one to 100, she deserves the best (100) for this viola solo.

Very nice. I especially like those notes, I don't know the technical term, but they sound like harmonics.
