My heart for many years was this locale. Fifth Street Dick's, Billy Higgins's World Stage and the entire Leimert Park scene in 1990s was the heart and soul of LA and I was there. Thanks Dwight and MIchael Sessions and Robert Carmack and all the great musical hearts of this time and place. I will never forget it and will be there for the Thursday night jam next time I am in LA. It will always be like it was. Like it always will be even though it is a moveable feast.

I'm presently sittin' on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River, STL, the LOU, but for some reason I feel like I've just left the World Stage, after talkin' with Nate and J.J., now floatin' towards Dwight singin' Liemert Park's Fifth Street Dicks' after 3:45 am after-dark after-hour jam session up-stairs; can you swing,keep the beat, do your thing, plus five dollars,after hours, after dark?
