A cop pulled me over the other day stating that Termignonis and Vance & Hines pipes are illegal in US. I have a Termi exhaust system, with open clutch on my Duc Monster S2R1000. Anyone out there heard about this BS before or is it just because I am in Texas?

Ill take an italian bike over a jap bike. I have no problem with jap bikes my first bike was a gixxer 750 but they are "cookie cutter" bikes...everybody has one.

Thats because they are great and inexpensive bikes. Ducatis are overpriced... besides what would u feel more comfortable takin to the track or ridin hard an 10k gsxr or a 40k ducati.

Thats a ducati monster, not a superbike. The new monster 696 is a hell of a bike and the msrp is $8995. You get brembos, inverted showa fork... etc.

Coming from a Ducati owner, unless he has the 1098R, which is $35k, or the newest Ducati Desmosedici RR, the price range is from $9k-$22k. The two bikes I mentioned are purely race/track bikes, which the team riders use essentially.

Pity you couldn't get them any lower and wider, the twin pipes on the monster look great and i didn't realise how much of a difference could be made! The original sounds weak!

Either way i like it. Totally different sound quality. It just depends on what you want. with the stock exhaust you hear more of the engine mechanicals which I like but I also like the deep exhaust roar the termignoni give it.

i used to have one pair of devil and they were OK. at least my 600 dark used to get all car alarms beeped whenever i started engine. was fair enough. but termis have a really pure clean sound. i think i d rather have termis next time!
