  • Best Phantom Ever :D

  • 0:20 the candy dispenser in the back is the same one used in "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" TRUE STORY BRO

  • OMG I didn't know Michael Crawford sung this!

  • Do you know what year this was?

  • @FeliciaDHU Hello, Dolly! (1969)

  • I went to see the musical and when I watched Wall-E this morning I felt so proud because I knew what the movie was. :D

  • The young phantom...

  • @Aileron2112 This guy has talent! He plays a complete opposite of the phantom!

  • Did you know the man who plays cornelius Hackle is the True phantom of the opera recording voice.

  • Did you know the man who plays cornelius Hackle is the True phantom of the opers recording voice.

  • I just can't believe who the *** ( no word to describe ) could dislike here ; <

  • This song will be more remembered for being in WALL-E than from Hello Dolly. If that's a good or a bad thing, you decide.

  • This is brilliant. WALL*E has made it popular again. Was walking past the palladium in London last night and Michael was signing autographs outside. Lovely chap...

  • WALL.e THE MOVIE IS AVALIBE TO WATCH IN BBC IPLAYER

  • Michael was so cute. :)

  • Awesome !!! When I hear this song, I have to think of Wall-e, the best movie ever !!!

  • I freakin' KNEW it was Michael Crawford in Wall-E! Ha! :D I feel accomplished. I need to check out the rest of this musical...

  • Shipoop012: yes this is the same Michale Crawford in Phantom of the Opera...

  • Is this the same Micheal Crawford who was the Phantom of the Opera? just wondering..

  • @Shipoopi012 yep :) he is :D love him <3

  • I love the story about how Gene Kelly hired Michael Crawford for Cornelius Hackl. "There's a part for an attractive idiot. My wife thinks you're attractive, and I think you're an idiot." lol

  • There is nothing I love more than the way they talk. Hick, slick... ohh it's amazing. XD

  • Aah yes because as World War Z taught us Yonkers is nothing if not a hick town.

  • I try to imagine the look on the face of whoever directed this movie, when I got a gigantic royalty check the month after Wall-E came out. I mean really, can you imagine how many people must have rented (or bought) this movie because they heard the song in Wall-E?

  • you don't see movies like these any more

  • Gene Kelly, director of Hello Dolly must be smiling about using this song and bits of the dancing in WALL-E

  • Hello Dolly is the cutest old movie, and if you haven't seen it your missing out ;)

  • To: RustedPlatinum

I unfortunately havent seen hello dolly either. Can i find it here on youtube????

  • Hmm... I don't think so, but you can find it easily enough in any video rental store...

  • To: RustedPlatinum

Aw man! Really???? Drat! Oh well! Blockbuster here i come! lol Thanks!

  • I knew that angel Voice was Michael familiar!

  • His character in HELLO DOLLY is a goofy clerk so I think he was trying to sound young and goofy.

  • Does anybody know what Michael thinks of this song being in Wall-e? I've googled around to find his reaction but have had no luck. Anybody know where I might find some info on his thoughts about this? Thanks!

  • I don't really like Michael's American accent. Sounds a bit too twangy and forced but what the heck. I adore Michael! <3

  • He's the man! He sounded really different when he was younger... boy has his voice developed into something epic.

  • Michael really doesn't look like he's over 60 does he?

He looks likehe's only 51! Seriously he does!

I love Michael too. :) xx

  • @boffinme80 I like this clip for it's original soundtrack worth but in his voice I think I could definately. see why. a producer would use this and did, in WALL-E!!!!

  • A young Michael certainly doesn't sound like the Michael Crawford of today. He sure has come a long way!

  • im a big fan of michael.. :P

  • dime cigars :P

  • don't like the musical, but michael is a big singer

  • i sing this song all the time in my head. what a great song

  • hehe me too!=]

  • @sausageslaps i sing it outloud.... in the halls of my school. im not sure if that makes me awesome or not :)

  • @Daizzey85 its does make you awesome, it is a great song

  • Haha XD I loved this musical. I must have watched it tens of times when I was small so I flipped when I heard it in Wall-E. I'm ALWAYS singing it at school and at my house so my friend decided that if I were a penguin in Happy Feet it would be my heartsong XD And I kind of agree. Hahaha

  • Actually Michael was 27 when he did Hello Dolly "Soccerfan217" and "PsychicMantha". Plus Michael is not old and 67 is not old. It's ashame that neither one of you couldn't or didn't want to come to Long Beach, Ca. last month( June )to meeet Michael. They had a great turnout and he looked awesome! Michaels aotobiography is GREAT and I'm surprised that PsychicMantha didn't know about it. You can get it from Amazon, Borders or barnes & Noble. You both should check out the MCIFA website!

  • Dog gone it - why didn't any of my friends from my hometown of HB tell me he was going to be there? I would have driven down - and no - 67 ain't old. Lovely post. Thanks, Dear.

  • LOL, Wall-E was playing at my dentists' office today! xD When I heard Michael's voice, I thought, 'Hey, that sounds like Michael Crawford!' :p Sure enough, it was! From what I saw so far of the movie, I thought it was cute and hilarious! :D

  • Love this song!!

  • I absolutely love this video! I can watch it over and over again and not get sick of it...probably because Michael Crawford puts so much energy and passion into this song! And his adorable smile couldn't hurt either lol

  • Not trying to be mean towards Striesand but the best and cutest part of this song is the opening with Michael Crawford "cuddlesfreeman". This is the part they use in the movie WALL-E at the opening which is just amazing. Plus I love Michaels youthful ethusiasm in this song. It's refreshing. Is anybody going to the big fan get together in June from the 12th to the 15th. It will be in the L.A. area of Southern California and Michael C. will be there. You can ask him about WALL-E during the Q & A

  • I agree. The sweetest part of this piece is Michael Crawford's introduction.

  • I also think that WALL-E was sorta suppose to be like Cornelius, because both of them go out to a different world and find love :)

  • What I want to see is the actual film scene that WALL-E himself saw on the old Ipod. please let me know, okay?

  • Just watch the full version of this scene, and also "it only takes a moment", they're both on youtube.

  • thanks 4 the tip. Man, this song is soooo catchy! WALL-E is my fave movie, and one of my favorite parts is hearing the painting robot use its motor to mimic that clip.

  • they cut barbra out :(

  • Michael is amazing, him as the Phantom... stunning, nothing can compare to that, he puts so much emotion into his songs...

  • Well...I know he's in his 60's now...probably his 40's when did Phantom....how old was he in Hello,Dolly!Probably in his 20's or 30's I bet.

  • He was born January 19 1942, so he'd be about, 67 (wow-he's old!) So Phantom would have been when he was...exactly 44-just turned. He was in Hello Dolly in his 30s. Ha ha, sorry. That was mostly referenced to his autobiography (My cousin gave it to me for my birthday today...)

  • Wow.=) I didn't know he had an autobiography!=D

  • ha ha, yeah he does. It's really interesting really...

  • If not for that movie, I never would have heard of this play. Thinking about it now, 'Fiddler on the Ro0f' just wouldn't have worked. XD Stanton mentioned that play in something I read somewhere and it stuck in mind because I saw that play back in the day where I went to high sch0ol and the performers were amazing! I hope they went on to become professionals because they really were really g0od.

  • I thought I was retro, but WallE pretty much redefines retro! XD I mean that in a g0od way, of course. All the really g0od stuff is from the past.

  • Michael Crawford sounds great singing this and singing the music of the Phantom of The Opera. He created the Phantom on stage and is sooooooooooo damn cute to boot! Go Mike!

  • awesome wall-e song

  • I love him in this! I didn't when he was the phantom of the opera, but he's great singing like this!

  • i love this movie. Thanks for upload this part.

Me encanta esta pelicula. Gracias por subir esta parte.

  • I love this song <3

  • Who's Barnaby.

  • To younger nerd

  • lmfaooooo that's so good

  • :)<3

  • i wish michael and babara reclaim their role on roles one last time on stage even if they are too old

  • if the original Mimi did it [for the RENT 10th anniversary] and she was absolutely NOT fit for the role 10 years later, Michael & Barbra should too, even if just for funs.

  • I love Michael to! Hes soooooooooo cute and boyishly handsome. He sings this perfect!!! WALL-E comes out today...hurray!

  • Omigosh...their vowels are so bright they sound like they're 13!

  • He's so young. I love Michael

  • I cant tell, does the guy who sings have glasses on?

  • This song sounds so much better now

  • Waaaaaaall-EEEEEE

  • Put on your Sunday Clothes.

  • both of these movies are amazing Michael Crawford is such a talented singer. the musical is amazing and Wall-E is such a cute movie

  • I love this song so much and I love Michael Crawford. What a talented guy. To go from Dolly to Barnum to Phantom and becoming a internationally best selling recording artist and concert draw is a pretty damn good career!!! Plus Michaels sooooooooooo cute.

  • don't forget some mothers do ave em

  • i love this song :P

  • i love the way he says barnaby ^^

  • Yeah he says that Line pretty good The barnaby thing thats the best line in the song

  • I was actually thinking about buying hello dolly after watching the clip with michael crawford and streisand that previously existed on youtube. It has since been removed for "copyright infringement". I won't be buying the film in consequence. If the big movie companies think we are all stupid consumers who will watch movies on youtube rather wanting to buy our own then they don't deserve our money. Idiots.

  • i love this song!!! ITS SO ADDICTING!!! i just listen to it over and over again..... tee hee
