I'd like to know that too actually, although i did find this structure in other images years ago, i've since forgotten which image it was in, and i'd like to observe this area through my telescope..any idea of the nearest well known crater or general area of the viewable surface (north-east, south-west, central or whatever) please Gridkeeper?

This might be the same for the ruins on the moon.
I looked at this through high power binoculars. This required standing a long way from the screen which made the whole exercise futile as it still looked like someone had doctored the picture a little. We should keep looking at this. As it's on the lit side of the moon it should be still visible and hopefully a grown up can explain it. It does look a little like a broken piece of cheese grater.

@GRIDKEEPER I think this image is so popular because there's little ambiguity surrounding whether it shows an artificial structure. Other images and videos show very interesting artifacts, but many of them, although strikingly odd, can be argued away as seeing things, oddly shaped but natural rock formations etc, but this one cannot possibly (by a rational mind at least!) be described as a trick of light, odd natural rock etc...it's CLEARLY artificial, and looks like a fallen tower.

@yinksta the photos used for finding this material is the crappy photos supplied by NASA, as there are no other way to get clear photos of the moon, especially the dark side of the moon, so people must zoom in as much as possible to see the structures, assuming they are structures. Maybe if you weren't so close minded, you'd realize that this is indeed a bizarre find, as is many pictures of the moon. Again, the reason this looks crap is because we're only given crap by those who have access.
The bottom line is, we have no idea what passes over us in the beautiful night sky. Our society has been fed one of the most severe cases of (deliberate) mistaken identity in history and sadly the majority of mankind bought it.
NASA has not disclosed the true nature of 'our'? moon. Therefore not being truely indentified to the public. So much is unknown about the lunar mass. It's surface (let alone what lies beneath) is still shrouded in mystery even after all the 'success' of the Apollo missions and assumed 'untouched' photographic satellite imagery.
I took a closer look and I think rather than Superman (I could be wrong) the individual peering out of the void looks more like Green Lantern. I could be wrong though maybe it is superman, the footage is very grainy. My friend thinks that it is either Sasquatch or Meatwad from ATHF but he smokes a lot of pot and eats a lot of mushrooms (obviously not the most reliable source).

Is there some documentary that you recommend about this "moon structure"? I do not believe its real but I dont believe it cant be real also. Its a bit hard to ignore the possibility when you look at Tiuanacho and the Pyramids of Giza, Easter Island, the Aztec Temples, and the Gazda Strip. And this could very well be the "monolith" that Kubrick himself tried to explain in 2001: a Space Odyssey. So please if anybody has a good documentary to watch on this please let me know! Thanks.

@eanielsen123 Watch "Secret Space 1, 2, 3. Part 1 is sort of boring from what I recall, but they are all informative. Also, "Dark Mission" Richard Hoagland doc. He has some others, watch them all. The thing about Hoagland is that he will never say anything unless he can prove it with 100% assurance of scientific evidence.As a Scientist/Physicist, he follows the strictest guidelines. I don't know. If this is really on the moon then it doesn't look natural. If it WERE natural then there would have to be erosion involved, and that's not very likely on the moon. Can this be seen on Google Moon?

@yinksta the photos used for finding this material is the crappy photos supplied by NASA, as there are no other way to get clear photos of the moon, especially the dark side of the moon, so people must zoom in as much as possible to see the structures, assuming they are structures. Maybe if you weren't so close minded, you'd realize that this is indeed a bizarre find, as is many pictures of the moon. Again, the reason this looks crap is because we're only given crap by those who have access.

I took a closer look and I think rather than Superman (I could be wrong) the individual peering out of the void looks more like Green Lantern. I could be wrong though maybe it is superman, the footage is very grainy. My friend thinks that it is either Sasquatch or Meatwad from ATHF but he smokes a lot of pot and eats a lot of mushrooms (obviously not the most reliable source).
