umm guys.this is a patch for the ps3s that a compatible with ps2 already.it does not add any abilities o your ps3 if you download it.it a a patch for games that required a hard drive on the ps2 like final fantasy and some others.it will not add a ps2 feature onto any ps3 that is not already able to do so

only the oldest fat ps3 the first ones can play ps2 games all ps3's are backwards compatible with ps1 games though. That data is just in case it doesn't work i tried this it does not work, with newer ones or slims.

The slim version doesn't have a chip required to run ps2 games... sorry about that but it doesn't have retrocompatibility as the fat version.

This video is not a debunking seeing as though you are wrong. All PS3's cannot play PS2 games. It has to be a PS2 compatible PS3. None of my friends that have newer PS3's can play PS2 games even with this download. Just because it is available for download doesn't mean it makes all the PS3's compatible.

Every PS3 can play PS1 games, but they cannot all play PS2 games just because you downloaded the PS2 system data off of PSN. What you downloaded will let you play PS2 games online ONLY if you have a PS2 compatible PS3, and that is also only if the servers for said games are still up, which many are not. So to be completely clear, you CANNOT play PS2 games on a non-PS2 compatible PS3. Only 60, 20, and 80 gigs with 4 USB ports can play PS2 games.

oh dude read the memory cards been there the ps2 software only works for the 80GBs with the thang on the left u lift up but they stopped making them my friend has 1 he didn't have internet on the ps3 so u dont need that so u cant play ps or ps2 games on the ps3 sorry wont work unless u got the older version the 1 that has a silver line instead of grey u know wich 1 im talking about read your ps3 box on the side it says this ps3 system is not compatible with any ps2 software
