Don't protesters have better things to do? I think they are using their freedom of speech and protest the wrong way. There are smarter ways to get across your message to the G20. Plus,what's a small protest going to do to the world's most powerful leaders. They would care less and would look down on protesters. Further I agree with you, if it is an unlawful assembly, then you have to move on. But when its non-violent, I don't think it should be called unlawful assembly until it gets violent. If you are allowed to call large groups of people an unlawful assembly at anytime. Then what is it to stop conventions from talking place.

Put personally I cannot see how in pockets of non-violent protest, why police should be allowed to use violent measures. Now that police are facing legal actions for the G20, it does show that there is a case for abuse of power.

That wasn't a riot, it was a protest. that you think G20 was a riot only evidences the fact you've never seen a riot. VANCOUVER three nights ago, in 2002, and in 1994, and actually many other times was a riot, and certainly for the 2011 riots the cops were courteous and professional, and respectful, AND EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE without the unnecessary brutality this and many other videos display.

There is no further context to this clip other than to show that the protestor is a harmless fly. The blockade was unnecessary, as well as the use of force which is almost revolting.

I have a child and work 10 hour days 6x a week. I have hand in my pockets from all sorts of federal agencies looking for my money and the prices of shit just keep going up. If it weren for my parents having a bit of money to help me through my early 20's here I'd be on the streets. I came from a fairly good house and did not screw up my schooling, Im a tradesman. Wages don't increase, but everything else does? Not good enough. The WORKERS deserve better and should take it by ANY means necessary.

Im not mad because they enforce laws and protect property, im mad because THEY BREAK THEIR OWN RULES, including the rules of the CANADIAN CONSTITUTION.
