I believe that summer is Jack's child as well. Don't forget, nobody saw the results but Nick, and he TOLD everyone that summer was his daughter, but showed no proof to Sharon or Phyllis.
If Nick didn't have anything to hide, he would have shown proof to both of those women. I believe Nick lied about Summer's paternity, because of his obsession with Phyllis.
