youre thinking of the ones from the late 90s I mean it looks no different but it is different and besides the D40 doesent have that engine noise you hear on this one
@fargeek - With the 2 front aisle-facing seats, you get more seats in the bus. OCTA and Phoenix Valley Metro have very similar seating arrangements. Both agencies seem to favor wheelchair ramps via the rear door. Im not sure about Valley Metro ... but our C40LFRs have 36 seats. If they put the wheelchair ramp in the front and keep the front aisle-facing seats, you can gain 4 extra seats.
@fargeek The other reason for the interior facing seating is because it allows more wheelchair accessibility, Quite a few of the D40LFR's in Scottsdale / Tempe / Mesa on 30, 40, 45, 61 and 72 have the entire lower section arranged that way, the only front facing seats are three rows on the upper deck.
(P.S - What route was this on? You looked at 6556 which was on 90 at Metrocentre, but I couldn't hear the announcement, it sounded more like 106 or 122.)
@ea90744 Trust me, The seats inserts they had before were horrendous, These are a lot better then the older NABI 40-LFW's had. They're not like what LACMTA have, but they're a major upgrade from the older versions.
this bus reminds me of the 57 SEPTA bus (South Philly to Fern Rock)

The D60LF is articulated and the D40LF is standard size. the numbers in new flyer bus modeling means the length.
