If he truly didn't want More dead then why did he listen to Anne in the first place? Doesn't Henry have Absolute Power? Some King he is. When Anne wanted Katherine of Aragon dead and Mary he didn't listen to her then.
i don't think henry tired of her...she pushed his buttons and to him it was threatening...he didn't want a wife that questioned him and had opinions..all though even though it was crucial that a mistress possessed these qualities it was also crucial a wife should not she should obey her husband..something which jane did...jane was meek whereas anne was feisty...and that was her downfall...thank god times have changed.

@MultiMissLucy agreed. i mean if u look at the rules she is the legitimate child from two legitimate monarchs. but i applaud elizabeth for achieving what she did and becoming a queen when others viewed it as impossible
I feel so terrible for Anne. She was treated so horribly by Henry. All his wives were. It's sad to know what kinds of fate they had when they married him.
@BabyDLowe, and how in the hell do you know she was a bastard, what you are going to listen to what Henry says, He changed his mind all the time, one minute he says she was abastard and the next he says shes his daughter. Elizabeth was a great queen she transformed England from a minor country to one of the most powerful nations. She is not the greatest ruler ever, but she was one of the greatest and had the right to be on the throne as all of his children did.
Dear Henry, your "bastard" daughter Elizabeth was by far the greatest thing to happen to both you as well as your long-abused kingdom, dumb fuck! >:s
The mother and Queen you heartlessly sentenced to death got the last laugh, as her child took her place as Queen in her own right - becoming far more than you ever were, and ever could have been. ^_^
@EntustinMeYourLife that's right, you tell him! i hate Henry he has no idea about love or maturaty he only knows lust and conceit. He can't blame Anne for what happened,he was a grown man perfectly capable of making his own choises, he could have said "no"yet he takes no responsibility.you're right he is the bastard.
Well true that they were not raised by their mothers, but children in a way are the same as their parents no matter what. And Elizabeth , im sure, was kind and strong like her mother, certainly didnt get that from her father.
Okay, I am so sick of this Anne Boleyn bias. Anne and Jane did the exact same thing, they both knew what they were doing the difference is that Anne acting like a bitch and Jane was sweet. Yet Jane is somehow worse because she was kind? How does that make sense people? Anne did one thing: Give birth to Elizabeth. Jane did one thing give birth to Edward. Neither were responsible for the upbringing of their children so how they turned out doesn't even reflect them.
"She's a bastard!!" Really? Well, that's very interesting you would say that, considering she saved your empire from certain death, went down in history as one of the world's greatest people and, oh yeah, STILL THOUGHT YOU WERE THE CREAM OF THE CROP AND ALL-TIME FATHER OF THE CENTURY!!! IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!
well, she really was a bastard. yea she did ruled and saved the empire but it not fair to say she was one of the world's greatest. She had scandal after scandal following her life even when she was older. she shouldn't have made it to the throne becuase she was bastard born but she did and during her time the empire recoved from her father's mayhem. Mary tried but like the US now, u can't change yrs worth of bad rule in a couple of yr. its takes time. and that was in beth's favor when mary died
*sigh* You have no appreciation for what Eliuzabeth did. WHY? Just because you worship Mary? Get it through your thick head. Elizabeth made England a world power, and Mary almost ruined it. By the time Elizabeth became queen, England was almost bankrupt thanks to Mary's rule. Elizabeth turned England from a backwater country to a world power! Mary was an utter failure as queen.
I give credit were credit is due. Yes I'll say Elizabeth was a good ruler. But Mary was not an utter failure as a ruler. Remember she had Henry's and Edwards reigns before her. England was semi broke with Henry's final years. Edwards didn't help and when Mary decided to give the STOLEN money back to the church that almost bankrupt England. But she was only trying to right a wrong done by her father for stealing it in the first place. How do you count that as failure?
I think Anne thought because King Henry went through so much to have her,he would treat her differently than he did Queen Katherine. That was a direct diss, comparing her to Queen Katherine.
He quickly disabused her of that notion. I'm reminded of what her uncle told her in the first season, not to fall for her own game. Anne really fell in love, while King Henry was acting on denied lust and the need for a son.
did jaen wleep with Henry while he was married to anne? if she did ( not just kissing and stuff) that'd make her worse than anne cuz remember anne didnt want to sleep with henry until she was married to him? she didnt want to be seen as a slut. I have to admit though, the actors/tresses of this show portray their characters so well that our original views of these people doesnt change and the mystery is still there much like hystery itself. got the facts but not the deep down personalities.
ppl called anne a whore all her life but how come no one called jane a whore since she did the same thing that anne had done to katherine? you can tell there was really no justice at all. and true she didnt make him do anything, he did it all b/c he has the say
Agreed! I was thinking the exact same thing. Like, 'hold on, wtf? You think you have the right to call Anne a whore but not Jane? Even though she did the same thing?! You utter MORONS!' Yelling at the TV screen/books didn't get me anywhere inevitably xD
Anne Boleyns legacy lived on through Elizabeth - so she won the war and had the last laugh.
Jane was actually the worse slut, she knew what she was doing whilst playing the innocent card. and once she became queen the best card she could lay on the table was give birth to a son... my wasnt he a bundle worth waiting for.
@xsexyminxyx OMG are you serious?, "A match to Katherine Of Aragon in her own standerds" I don't even think so, Anne was a hell demon, and rightful so, she distoryed Mary and Henry's relationship, she hated mary, she was extreamly jealouse, she hated Kathrine, who was queen of England for 20 somthing years, yes there is a big diffance between Anne and Jane, Anne was power hunger, Jane was not, Anne hated Mary and wanted to kill her, Jane wanted to save her, Anne is nother to Katherine, NOTHING.

true... historians say she wasnt very beautiful as henry's other mistresses... but described her as lustful in a way. But i also think if anne wanted to get with the king not to be public with the relationship... her being called whore for all the years she was with him was also one of the reasons of her death
I have a respect for Anne and I feel bad that she didn't realize that she may have won Henry from KOA, but she was getting something she wasn't really ready for
