Actually....Detective Tapp was shot through the neck by Zepp towards the end of Saw and died from it. Adam was shown being suffocated death by Amanda in a flashback of Saw III. OK i think i got a solution to this trap...

Step one. When and if u put ur arms in like an idiot dont try to get them out.

Step two. Instead use one arm and put it up farther so u can reach the other blades.

Step three. Use you hand to lift the blades to get the arm out.

Step four. use your free hand to put up the same holy opening the blades again.

Step five. remove both arms and guess what your free :D
