Psylocke is a powerful telepath, but Emma is by far the stronger of the two.Make no mistake about this fact. Emma's psych abilities are more advanced. You can check their stats at Marvel.com

emma frost may not have the raw power but she definetly have the skills to defeat rachel summers and psylocke who have som uch power but does not have the experience to use it.

emma at first was not considered as an omega level telepath but what she does have is experience.there was one issue of x-men wherein rachel summers aka phoenix (alternate timeline daughter of jean grey and current avatar of phoenix) fought emma frost in a telepathic combat and she lost. it was further explained by emma that it was a classic battle between (raw power/potential/having phoenix power and omega level telepathy versus skill and experience of emma frost.

the writers for some reason or other is making out Psylocke into sort of bad guy in these recent X-Men media even if she isn't a bad guy at all in the comic books and is the sister to Captain Bratin and is very powerful plus both her and Emma Frost are now part of the X-men

@RogueLover Betsy WAS a very good telepath back in the days, but she's never proven to be in one league with Emma in that department. Nowadays, when she has both, telepathy and telekinesis, she may be far more versatile then she was before, but her telepathic abilities are even less of challenge for Frost. she even admitted that in her own mini-series.

@96Nathan96 I don't believe Psylocke and Emma have ever been friends. Even when Emma joined the X-men and Psylocke was resurrected they would struggle to be civil with one another in words. I can't think of any X-women Emma is actually friends with. Phoenix, Storm, Psylocke, Shadowcat, Sage, Rachel Grey, nope... Maybe Rogue?

@wiltonford Both of them have been described as Omega (though that term is thrown about willy nilly these days) If they ever did battle, it would probably come down to skill and luck, an interesting fight if it was written properly!

She is. Psylocke is more of a combat telepathy which there aren't many but she still would be able to beat Emma as Emma has skill, knowledge and more power behind her telepathic force.

@96Nathan96 Betsy lost her immunity to telepathy just like she lost her immunity to reality warping. this already begun during her time with the Exiles. "In exchange" for those immunities she redeveloped part of her telepathy.

@nonconformalism not in anything I've read, far as I know she is still considered Alpha level. Besides Emma is one of the most powerful and highly skilled telepaths on the planet. Betsy has always been more of a telekinetic than telepath. Although during a semi recent transformation she was made immune to all forms of telepathy so that in itself would level the playing field.

@kidkhorne Nope, a writer recently confirmed her as an Omega Telepath. In recent years she was telekinetic, but classic Psylocke was always a powerful telepath and now she has both powers.

@nonconformalism It wasn't Psylock who has been labeled as an omega level telepath, but Emma. During "Dark Reign" Emma exposed Mystique (disguised as Professor X) by telling her, that omega level telepaths can sense each other, referring to Charles and herself, obviously. A little later the Professor confirmed her statement when Emma was involuntarily hosting a fragment of the Void and it was feared the sliver could access "her abilities as an omega level telepath".

@nonconformalism emma is much, much stronger than Psylocke :P emma is the one who is omega-level mutant. Have you seen her story? if you look you will see that she is among the top five telepaths in the Marvel Universe and not Psylocke...

@nonconformalism Emma Frost has also been classified as an Omega level telepath, and unlike Psylocke, Emma Frost's generally portrayed as being someone that could very well match Professor X in the comics.
Besides that...this is the woman who was able to control the Pheonix....if she's powerful enough to achieve that, surely taking Psylocke out would pose no problem.

@jeanscott20 When I say control the phoenix, Im not talking full blown phoenix force. I'm talking about how she's one of the few telepaths strong enough to manipulate the Phoenix, and garner a bit of control over her aslong as she has Phoenix convinced.
Ofcourse her powers can't control phoenix, neither can Professor, but they're two that can subdue the Phoenix.

@MsFeisty919 Chris Claremont isn't the creator of X-Men. He isn't writing any X Books now, and the last time he wrote Psylocke (with telepathy) was 1991. Rick Remender is the current writer of Uncanny X-force, and he considers Psylocke an Omega Telepath on par with Emma.
