For me, I try to avoid labels placed on my faith. But for the record, I believe the Bible to be the Word of God. I believe God's Word is true.. All of it..
My home church pastor put it pretty well. He said, "If the idea that believing completely in God's Word makes me a fundamentalist Christian, then yes.. I am a fundamentalist Christian.."
My disappointment with this label is that it implies a negative radicalism stating that there is something wrong with believing in God's Word..

But know that we didn't want to make this about politics... This is a song about repentance.. The picture of the Presidents actually shows Mr & Mrs Bush & the Clintons.. The Bush's are easier to see, because they were in office when the video was produced... Paul explained Gods view of things by citing the example of the Pharaoh of the Exodus. In rescuing Israel from slavery in Egypt, God destroyed the Egyptian nation in the process. You think fundamental Christianity is radical.... Hmmmm... With some of the preaching going on in this country, there are some who think that. But your opinion is total error. Christian fundamentalist belief did not cause those terrorist attacks. Radicalism didn't even cause those terrorist attacks. It was instead "hate" that caused those attacks to happen. Satan himself is behind those attacks. It is the atheistic viewpoint that attempts to find any reason possible to disavow the cross & Jesus.
See, that's what I'm talking about right there. You're blaming a fictional allegory for the actions of real people. That's not rational behaviour. I would agree that hate was a motivator in these attacks. But the justification for the hate was religion. To blame a red man with horns, cloven feet, and a pitchfork is just silly.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but Satan is not fictional. I wish I was wrong about that... Hell is also a real place as well. I believe that with all of my heart. But you have to follow your own heart. We are all individually responsible for our beliefs. Someday, we will stand before God, our creator, & we will either be ushered in Heaven & an eternity filled with joy, peace, & love- or we will be cast into an eternity of hell which has been described as a lake of fire.

When he fell from Heaven due to his pride, It was then that God decided to create a human race who could "though faith" choose to accept Him & His Son. But as you have said, you see this issue as one of "religion". This isn't about religion. It's about a God who loved us enough to send His only Son to die for us. That is a deep love, don't you think?
It's not a question of denial or acceptence. It's a question of reality. You say Satan is real. What evidence do you have? Evil? Evil is in the actions of men. They don't need any supernatural reason. Greatness and love are also the actions of men. They need no myth to spur them on. The love people have for each other is real, and so obviously a deeper love than that of one of many dieties that man has created. If there was a god, you'd have to ask why he hates people enough to make them suffer.
God is fair, but life sometimes isnt. God is good, but people often do bad things. God is perfect, but we make mistakes that sometimes cost us dearly. As long as people do bad or evil things, other people will be hurt. If a robber shot you, you and your family would suffer.
Again, where does God coem into it? If bad things are going to happen to good people and god is helpless to stop it, what good is he? And if he can stop it and choses not too, doesn't that make him a dick? Of course, this is presupposing there is a god, something we have no evidence for. It would certainly explain the inability of the god to change the fate of its worshippers.
I think I atleast in part understand where you are coming from. If there is a God, why does he allow so much suffering. That would make Him an unloving God in your opinion.. but God created us to have free will. If God was to come in on His white horse each and every time people suffered, then free will & sin would have no honest result. It's like a rich father who constantly bails his son out... There is no accountability for that son's actions then.. If that rich father's son had to....
live with his mistakes on his own, then he would learn from them. God gives us a free will to choose Him, or deny Him. He gives us free will to choose righteousness, or choose lives of sin. But to have the opinion that God should completely control suffering would completely contradict God's plan. People spend a lot of time trying to figure out this life. They spend time learning how to think positively.. They attend seminars on all sorts of things trying to figure out the meaning of life...
,etc.. etc... Looking for love.. Filling that void with sin, etc.. But we were given this life for the purpose of making an ultimate decision. To accept Christ, or deny Him. This life on earth is just a blink of an eye compared to eternity. The difference between Heaven and Hell are more extreme than black and white.. It's the ultimate decision, & the most critical choice you will ever make.
Wow. The signs are everywhere and the time is NOW! God does not want lukewarm hearts...choose for this day whom you will serve, but as for me and my house WE WILL serve the Lord! God bless you!

Paul explained Gods view of things by citing the example of the Pharaoh of the Exodus. In rescuing Israel from slavery in Egypt, God destroyed the Egyptian nation in the process. But wasnt that unfair? Paul asked: "What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all! For he says to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy" (Romans 9:14-15).

My point was that it is strange to see a radical christian terrorist on a video talking about why america should put faith in god. His presence reminds us that irrational belief causes people to do terrible things. And that it is belief in god, whether christian or islamic, that has cauased the worst two terrorist acts in american history. Adn when that is pointed out, god is not something to be repented to. It's something america should disavow if it wants to avoid crazy people attacking it.

You think fundamental Christianity is radical.... Hmmmm... With some of the preaching going on in this country, there are some who think that. But your opinion is total error. Christian fundamentalist belief did not cause those terrorist attacks. Radicalism didn't even cause those terrorist attacks. It was instead "hate" that caused those attacks to happen. Satan himself is behind those attacks. It is the atheistic viewpoint that attempts to find any reason possible to disavow the cross & Jesus.

See, that's what I'm talking about right there. You're blaming a fictional allegory for the actions of real people. That's not rational behaviour. I would agree that hate was a motivator in these attacks. But the justification for the hate was religion. To blame a red man with horns, cloven feet, and a pitchfork is just silly.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but Satan is not fictional. I wish I was wrong about that... Hell is also a real place as well. I believe that with all of my heart. But you have to follow your own heart. We are all individually responsible for our beliefs. Someday, we will stand before God, our creator, & we will either be ushered in Heaven & an eternity filled with joy, peace, & love- or we will be cast into an eternity of hell which has been described as a lake of fire.

Defenstrator, it is ultimately your choice. You can deny Christ, or accept him. I have a theory about Satan. When he fell from Heaven due to his pride, It was then that God decided to create a human race who could "though faith" choose to accept Him & His Son. But as you have said, you see this issue as one of "religion". This isn't about religion. It's about a God who loved us enough to send His only Son to die for us. That is a deep love, don't you think?

It's not a question of denial or acceptence. It's a question of reality. You say Satan is real. What evidence do you have? Evil? Evil is in the actions of men. They don't need any supernatural reason. Greatness and love are also the actions of men. They need no myth to spur them on. The love people have for each other is real, and so obviously a deeper love than that of one of many dieties that man has created. If there was a god, you'd have to ask why he hates people enough to make them suffer.

God is fair, but life sometimes isnt. God is good, but people often do bad things. God is perfect, but we make mistakes that sometimes cost us dearly. As long as people do bad or evil things, other people will be hurt. If a robber shot you, you and your family would suffer.

Again, where does God coem into it? If bad things are going to happen to good people and god is helpless to stop it, what good is he? And if he can stop it and choses not too, doesn't that make him a dick? Of course, this is presupposing there is a god, something we have no evidence for. It would certainly explain the inability of the god to change the fate of its worshippers.

I think I atleast in part understand where you are coming from. If there is a God, why does he allow so much suffering. That would make Him an unloving God in your opinion.. but God created us to have free will. If God was to come in on His white horse each and every time people suffered, then free will & sin would have no honest result. It's like a rich father who constantly bails his son out... There is no accountability for that son's actions then.. If that rich father's son had to....

live with his mistakes on his own, then he would learn from them. God gives us a free will to choose Him, or deny Him. He gives us free will to choose righteousness, or choose lives of sin. But to have the opinion that God should completely control suffering would completely contradict God's plan. People spend a lot of time trying to figure out this life. They spend time learning how to think positively.. They attend seminars on all sorts of things trying to figure out the meaning of life...

,etc.. etc... Looking for love.. Filling that void with sin, etc.. But we were given this life for the purpose of making an ultimate decision. To accept Christ, or deny Him. This life on earth is just a blink of an eye compared to eternity. The difference between Heaven and Hell are more extreme than black and white.. It's the ultimate decision, & the most critical choice you will ever make.
