also im concerned with the fact that naudo doesn't have many of his own compositions on youtube whereas tommy is a lot more prominent from this point of view, in short tommy is really the most complete guitar player i have ever seen or heard , i dont mean he is the best just the most complete he really is god in his own way
i also think tommy is better although naudo has a different playing style, not only he plays acoustic he also plays with his nails which allows him to have a richer sound after all thats why all the classical compositions are played on nylon guitar, tommy however is much better in sustaining the sound throughout the song he uses the thumb over the top which usually means he would have more fingers to hold down notes with, also he is a lot faster than naudo he could play gypsy jazz for all i care

Classical music is played on nylon strings because the music is mostly from the 17th and 18th centuries when they only had gut strings and nylon most closely replicates that sound. Steel strings were not invented until around 1900. 4. Using the thumb over the top has nothing to do with sustaining sound and both artists do it when more convenient
@revedmusic , i agree with you about classical music , but u didnt get my point , you try play classical on steel, see how it sounds, but using thumb over the top obviously has to do with note sustaining because its just gives u more fingers to play with, TE explains that in his dvds as a matter of fact TE says that there is no good way to play fingerpicking unless u use ur thumb over
@HallowTramp You should tell those who play the most complicated fingerpicking (Paco de Lucia, Julian Bream, John Williams, Andre Segovia, Sabicus, Carlos Montoya, Laurindo Almeida, Fernando Carulli, Miguel Llobet, Pepe Romero, ,Fernando Sor, Francisco Tarrega, and Jose Feliciano) that "there is no good way to play fingerpicking unless they you use their thumb over the top". Tell them that it has to with greater sustain.and more fingers!
I like Igor, I like Sungha Jung, I like Tommy Emmanuel and Adam Rafferty. But watch this guy. This is a different level. Listen to his Beethoven's 5th Symphony. or Stand By Me, Maybe pick Sultans of Swing or Hotel California. These are incredibly sophisticated arrangements by a guy who plays in a bar in the Canary Islands.
@revedmusic well, has a level like to play in a good band, and he has had some offers in that way, but he does´nt like the work travelling all the time.
@juanignaciomoreno He does not need a band, Naudo is the best player on YT period. He needs to make CDs, Have his arrangements in books that we can buy. If there ever was a player who should be famous it is Naudo.
