Didn't like this album at first however after time it grew on me and this is quite possibly Massive Attacks best track, its the Depths and Nuances it has in places that just float my boat.

It really makes sense. The guy's insane, maybe becuase he lost the woman that appears at 4:20. After the tension of the song's peak, the music and those soul/godspell voices are relieving as it is to see her again. But in the end it's just another mirage, another hallucination. It REALLY makes sense...

@MOSS722 It's deeper than he's 'just insane'. It's portraying that nothing seems real in the man's life now that his wife is gone, yet when he thinks of her, there is a glimpse of it. I think the water represents love. His wife is bathing in it, showing the love he had for her. Plus, at the end, he's seen with a carton, suggesting he's now ready to look for love (water) again in the harsh world instead of living in an empty lonely life.
