@PickleMan3458 Maybe on this playthrough, but maybe this Shepard decided to blow up the Geth base in Mass Effect 2, or maybe he didn't even do Legion's loyalty mission. Suadmates can survive the suicide mission even if they aren't loyal.

Or maybe this is just the default way things are if you don't import a save.

@rovertkralc1 They're ejecting heat-sinks, not reloading. Weapons don't overheat anymore, they store the heat in those tube-like sinks, then are ejected so that they can continue firing.

@buddhaff Not at all. Check the wiki and the cast is exactly the same. The software they are using is different now, so I wouldnt doubt the voices sound better/clearer. Plus they were really working to make shepard sound more emotional.

@IIPrimalBirdII Thanks man, pre-ordering the N7 collectors edition right now. I don't trust Bioware so much since Dragon Age 2 was released, I've never been that disappointed by a game in my life. Imported my save game from the first one, only to discover that it makes no real impact on the game in any way, and there's only one(!!!) ending no matter which paths you choose...Hopefully ME3 will be everything that it deserves to be, and Bioware can take back their crown...

@GallowayJesse Actually, the combat is only to give the games a wider appeal. you'll be able to choose what types of elements are in place, like a "story mode", a combat mode, and an RPG mode. Plus, basing your opinion of the finished product on a measly 45 minute sneak peek is like judging a book by the plot suumary of it on 4chan.

@HmongFighter you should also probably get both because the story you start in the first mass effect gets carried over in me2 and subsequently me3. Unless you want a randomized story, I would recommend for the optimal start in me3, you should probably play through both me1 and me2 using the same character.

I agree we won't actually know until we play the game. There was a person on the Bioware forum who had previously said that ME3 begins with a Reaper invasion of Earth, and that was subsequently proven true. So that person seemed credible to me. He or she then later said that Cerberus is indoctrinated and Shephard fights them, and that seems to fit with this video.

Of course the Reapers can control an NPC, but not the player character, for plot-based and gameplay reasons.
