For Dan Wheldon, anyone trying to re-enact that wreck will have one hell of a time trying to make it work, because they need 1, 2, 3 cars flipping at the same time.

You put up a Rodney Orr one, a Joe Weatherley one, a Fireball Roberts one, nobody gives a shit. But as soon as you put up a Dale Sr one, everybody leaps all over you. Despite you correctly saying Dale wasn't the only driver killed in NASCAR. He is however the most recognizable (as Petty would have been if he'd died in his 1988 crash at Daytona)

If it'd been Richard in 1988, the same thing would have happened come NR2003, people would be hating Petty reenactments. This will sound assholish, but the crash happened, he's dead. People can reenact whatever they want.

Am I the only one that think that the deaths of Adam Petty and Kenny Irwin Jr. at the same track, and the same year was pretty sad. Especially thinking that they were going to be the next Jimmie Johnson and Ryan Newman of NASCAR.
