  • Up left: James Paul McCartney

    Up right: George Harold Harrison

    Down: John Winston Lennon

Three gods of music in an epic duel. The only thing I reproach is they made it only 51 seconds long.

  • Very nice! I've always loved that guitar "battle." In my gigging musician days, we used to perform that song in which the singer would don a guitar, I'd switch from keyboards to guitar, plus our lead guitarist-- and that crowd LOVED it!

Question: You (or someone in the comments) mentioned that the guitars shown in this clip are the models used in the recordings and was wondering where you got this information from? So Paul was using a Les Paul, George a Tele and John on the Epiphone Casino?

  • @dadduorp In this video, John's part is played on an SG.

  • Johns is my favorite part, his guitar playing was so raw and heavy

  • Watching it like that you can tell who played what by their ability on guitar.

  • Wow!!! This is my favorite Beatle Song and the best part. I listen to the Beatles and daydream how the tracks were laid down. You just made my dreams come true. Excellent.

  • wow! what a incredible talent. you are able to capture the distinct style of each player so that i can even picture john's face playing that distorted lead, and george's smooth slide style. great, just great.

  • @good2000ful

The beatles were all exelent musicians on several instruments. But yes one would think Paul would have high distortion John lower and george the lowest but apparently not.

  • Yes, it's Paul, George, and John in that order.

  • Right to left: Paul is the les paul, George is the Tele, and John's is the Casino

Paul kind of has a bubbly sort of sound, George is very thin and driving, and John is a heavy rock and roller

  • Does anybody which are played by John, Paul and George?

  • @MrACDC1997 im not 100% sure but i think

    first is Paul

    second is George

third (awesome sound by the way) John

  • @Kbralzinnn If you can't play guitar well, you can cover it up by just thrashing dirty fuzz chords while the band's musicians do the real work.

  • Absolutely excellent. I could watch this a million times. I'm sure Paul, George, and John would be proud. Oh yeh...thanks for the bass and drums that were added.

  • First Paul, then George and finally John.

You made a kickass tribute to these 3 men right there. I tip my hat to you, sir.

  • Awesome job, well done.

  • hola tocas exelente podrias hacer un tutorial del solo de the end de the beatles porfavor. te lo suplico¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Best "The End" Cover,ever...very professional!

THANK YOU A MILLION TIMES for this upload!

  • Wow, nailed the parts, and nailed the 3 distinct guitar tones! You rock.

  • Kakko ii saiko^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  • i can't stop this. OMG!

  • The SG is smoking Great Idea doing the video this way I always wonder about what was used in the recording

  • @1dockthorwho23 I believe t'was Macca on the casino, George on the les paul, and John on the casino.

  • I just like how each solo reflects their individual personalities in a way. Paul's are fine and sophisticated, George's are well thought out and complex, and John's are raunchy and loud. At least at the time.

  • the correct order of solo was first mcartney, then harrison then lennon....thats according to the engineer that recoreded them Geoff Emerick abbey road studios 1969.......nice job

  • its amazing what the beatles could pull out and play so easily

  • how did u get the sound for johns part and what are the tabs for it ?

  • This is Amazing, Nice Tri-fectum!

  • YEAH :D

  • All three of john's solos kick butt!

  • I love that tone on John's part

  • Jun-san, you NEVER disappoint me/us! You keep getting better and BETTER. Your production is just so Professional. Please keep them coming. Domo arigato! We miss you at VB! Regards//KP

  • Great stuff.

  • Yay jun san (^_^

  • this is amazing, i love the how you used the different guitars. you are one hell of a guitarist :D

  • Fantastic! Lovin every upload!

  • wow this is excellent, as usual!!!! Can you put up the rock and roll cover where you had the htwww, tsrts, and the album version????

  • You play really well and get that fat overdriven "old-school" tubey sound, the video is well put together too! I like that you played it on different guitars, that way you were really close to the original "character" of the solo! :)

  • Ahhh 1080p, great music and a great guitarist. What more can I ask for?

  • yes, bring them all back

    paperback writer was a fav

  • Yeah!

  • Talk about an "Aha!" moment! I've been playing guitar for more than 30 years and have come across guitar solos (or parts) that I subconsciously labeled as "untouchable" or "undoable." For me, the solos in "All Along the Watchtower" may as well be a Charlie Parker riff. This is a prime example of what I'm talking about. Never in a million years would I even attempt to figure this out. And yet, here we are. Turns out I have the same notes on my guitar that the Beatles did! Thanks so much!!

  • @cmsquared63 summed up so well, you can't just say great playing on jun's stuff

it/s not only some of the best playing he has great production values as well

his attention to detail in every note is what keeps him at the top of my very select list of must watch youtubers

  • @cmsquared63 All Along the Watchtower by Hendrix? its really not that hard! i thought it was impossible until a good friend of mine whos a guitar teacher started playing it and it just hit me!

  • @cmsquared63 Wha? This solo is not that hard... Neither is anything Jimi Hendrix did for that matter...

  • Cool, awesome! Dang, you're just great!

  • I'm glad you're bringing back some of your famous Beatles tracks. I'm looking to more of them!

  • And I was about to request it to reupload it! Great job on this one Jun!

  • Nice done! :D
