  • I am a life long student of Wing Chun and I have a question: Why do many Wing Chun learners, on youtube, never really show the Luk Dim Boon Gwun?

  • @tdbevolution good question....its a rather simple form so to some its probably not as "exciting" as the hand forms, the dummy or the knives...its basically 6 or so movements repeated in different directions....probably one of the least trained...some just don't know it or incorporate it as part of their wing chun curriculum because they never learned it....just a few reasons....weapon forms of wing chun tend to be hidden for the most part

  • @rgvwingchun It was good to get your take on that. I have found that it is like when some students learn Kendo. You do not get many moves there either.

  • Words mean nothing because actions speak much louder.

    Kudos to you, my friend!

  • nice video mate, good song too :)

  • good work here -

  • Thanks...I've actually modified a bit more trying to adopt my form to Ip Ching's methods and theory on the Mook Yan Jong

  • better but need corrections good energy

  • I think I have a better one than this...this was in Feb. 08; I have a July 08 one up...my section 5 REALLY needs help!!!

  • Very nice, i got the same dummy, from the same Seller:-). my dummy set is alittle different from yours. but good job none the less.

  • thanks...I've got an updated form up....looks a lot better

  • Is this form only seven sections?

  • yes....as I was taught it and Ip Ching has in his book on the Jong, seven sections comprise the Wing Chun dummy set

  • Thanks for posting!

  • can you tell me wheir to get a wooden dummy?

  • I got mine from EverythingwingchunDOTcom

  • thats cool...are you still learning wing chun?

  • Heck yes!!! I'm still under the Ip Ching lineage but I've added Ip Man's other son, Ip Chun through Grandmaster Samuel Kwok and my Sifu, Tony Massengill. I travel to Virginia to train and I teach privately here.
