  • My younger bros and i still do thsi routine - it kills us

  • Just great...

  • This was such a great show!

  • Very funny video

  • back when interlude music were real instruments

  • hahahahahahaaha

  • Just found out Jeff Conaway died.

  • The greatest episode and most remembered from Taxi!!!!

  • Love this clip. IMO, the original Kramer!

  • After all these yrs, still one of the funniest bits in all of American TV comedies.

  • TV today sucks compared to the funny shows of the 70's and 80's !

  • @JDV92564 very true!

  • Haaaaaaaaaaa

  • Jim is so literal. I remember the one where they are on a boat and someone asks him if he would like a pill for seasickness-- Jim answers," No thanks. I'm already feeling a bit queasy.". . . Everytime I watch this, I know exactly what happens at the end and I still laugh so hard I start coughing. This one and their "Jim the Psychic" one at the end does it to me everytime.

  • So funny! All of the re-runs that they show no but they don't show this one...why not? But talk about hot...how about Jeff Conway? For us girls, he sure did it!

  • He's anti-social and eccentric in Back to the future, not a moron, bub!

  • My uncle described this show to me as a series of characters each aspiring towards something. When I asked him what Jim was aspiring to, he told me "reality".

  • This is a hysterical scene. Shows like this just don't exisit anymore......Mary Lou Henner is really beautiful here.

  • @yesorlando05 She's STILL hot! But, back then... SMOKIN' HOT!

  • When I was getting my license test yesterday my dad was telling me about this :) hilarious

  • This is as hilarious as ever!!!

  • One of the best scenes in TV history.

  • hahahahahahaha!!!!!!! This was a great sitcom, very funny made me laugh a lot and good actors XD

  • omg I'm going for my permit next week xD I love this!!

  • 9 people can't decide between drug abuse and mental illness.

  • hahahahahahahahhaaaaaaa love it

Loooooooooovvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeee it, thanks for sharing lol

  • Okie doke.

  • Fuck u bitch go fuck urself in hell ugly ass bitch u shut the fuck up bitch

  • @steph10090 issues....

  • @howieonline why thank u

  • not a compliment but alrightyu.. O.o

  • @howieonline i think it was

  • @steph10090 I think you need to expand your vocabulary.

  • @SeishunKizuna I think you need to.

  • @steph10090 unfortunately for you, I'm not the one who uses swearing to express myself. Learning new words can help you with that problem.

  • @SeishunKizuna sorry i like cussing it makes you feel normal

  • @3DPeter too true

  • bring back the 80's, because that was the decade when life was at it's best. The same for tv shows like this. And thank goodnes that i had the privilege to grow up in that decade. I wouldn't want to swap it with the youth of today who have to grow up with nothing but crap.

  • @3DPeter The age of Taxi, Ghostbusters, and Saturday morning cartoons.

  • sorry but i stole your video that you also stole (come get us both, paramount pictures) to use for my uploaded video of ghadafis death!....yes, i did say ghadafis death with your taxi clip!! - see it and believe it!

  • My daughter just told me Tony Danza looks like me. How cool is that. But, other people have actually told me that too. What a compliment...

  • @TheApachebulldog a compliment - perhaps, but NOT if youre her MOM!!!!

  • Christopher Lloyd... he's always been fantastic!

  • To me this is one the the funniest scenes in television history.

  • OH! I forgot it was Cristopher Lloyd's birthday! xD Happy Birthday!

  • I LOVE this sketch so much! cant stop watching it and LOLing!

What a genius! Happy Birthday Christopher Lloyd! love you!- best actor ever! x

  • i like it when he says pssst he asked the guy hes like what does a yellow light mean slow down ok. whattt... doessss... a... yellow..... light..... mean slow down ok whatttttttt doessssssss aaaaaa yellowwwwww lighttttttt mean SLOW DOWN! whattttttttttt doessssssss aaaaaaaaaaa yellowwwwww light mean then they give up

  • @steph10090 shut up

  • iv watched this about 500 times and it still makes me crack up! - sign of a good sitcom - great writing, great actors, amazing show <3 x

  • "Hasn't everyone?"

    LOL!

  • classic episode !!

  • "That's a tough choice."

    LOL

  • Wow! My teacher show me this early and I had a great feeling he was christopher Lloyd.

  • best show ever

  • Classic in every way! Timeless

  • They don't make good tv like they used to

  • @ckykenyon It's been sweetened.

  • @rdecredico No, that's not what sweetening is. Part of "sweetening" is covering up individual laughs. But on Taxi you can hear individual audience members or crew members laughing. If it were "sweetened" those laughs would be edited out.

  • i would love to see reverend jim ignatowski and father guido sarducci in a conversation.

  • During Taxi's first year Jim made his debut when he married Latka and a street walker so that Latka could attain a green card and stay in the US. I am not sure what was the formal episode #.

  • During Taxi's first year Jim made his debut when he married Latka and a street walker so that Latka could attain a green card and stay in the US.

  • One of the funniest things I ever saw in my life. From 'I thought this WAS the test" to the look on his face at the end. Classic. Jim's first episode was when Latka and Simpka got married I believe.

  • Yes, the driver's license test was a favorite of mine, and still is!

  • the original KRAMER

  • Tony Danza is FINE

  • whys everyone talking about BTTF?Christopher Lloyd has other talent than Doc Brown you know?!! - give the guy some credit ffs- hes one of the best actors of the last 30 years ffs!

  • Comment removed

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooes aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelow liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeean?? ROFL!!

  • This was episode # 29 overall and the second with Jim. Funny thing is that his father's real name was Caldwell and not ignatowski

  • @livnehh1 which was the first episode with jim do you know? im trying to look for it...

  • S U P E R !!!!

  • That was from season two. The most funniest skit from the 80's.

  • Anyone know what season and episode this was from?

  • did seinfeld"s crazy neighbour take lessons from chris lloyd lol

  • LOVE IT!! LOL -Elaine looks like Michelle Bachman

  • @2emeraldeyes

i was just thinking that lol thaT IS SO FUNNY

  • @Cheeta1020 After he gets his taxi license, at the garage, Judd Hirsch volunteers to be his first passenger. So he gets in the back seat, Reverend Jim hits the gas pedal and crashes the taxi backwards into a wall, turns around to Judd Hirsch and says, "That'll be fifty cents."

  • I love how here, he's a complete moron but in BTTF he's a smarter, complete moron. XD

  • @metalpunkmussicjerk doc's very smart how's he at all stupid? i dont recall him doing anything dumb in bttf

  • @Dadsgirl240- If I recall, he talked to the future version of himself without realizing and dressed Marty in that pink cowboy thing.

  • @metalpunkmussicjerk that's kinda of confusing. do you mean in the second when the most current doc talked to the doc fixing the time machine for the lighting or whatever? I wouldn't call either stupid. The current one ran into the past one by mistake and the past one did seem suspicious but brushed it off. and well yeah the cowboy thing was dumb lo

  • I don't know what's so funny, that's how I passed my drivers test.

  • LOL

This show was awesome! I miss it.

  • Classic

  • Damn, they don't make or write shows like this anymore. Pure comedy.

  • CLASSIC! :D

  • "I thought this was the test!" "I think that cubby's got it in for me". The writing, the performances, a forgotten art. For whatever reason, it's gone. Thank god I was around to see real comedy.

  • This rates up there with WKRP in Cincinatti. No modern sit-com can touch these beauties. Whatever happened to really great script writing? It seems to be gone.

  • "Mental illness or narcotic addiction?"

    "That's a tough choice"

    So glad I favorited this.

  • HACKER!!

  • Holy crap, that's Christopher Lloyd? He's so...young!

  • PRECISELY!

  • 8 people don't know what a yellow light means.

  • @Reubenhubert LOL! Right on!

  • "my brown eyes hurt ..." LOL

Hats off to Christopher Lloyd for playing one of the best characters ever!!!

  • What a classic. Taxi was TV GOLD. I miss shows like this.

  • Mixing a cast of nuts (Iggy, Louie, and Latka) with the the straight ones (Elaine, Bobby, Alex, and Tony) was pure comic genius. Seinfeld successfully recreated the funny man straight man mix 15 years later. What a cast!

  • Christopher Lloyd is great. I can't believe Jeff Conaway is gone...poor man. RIP.

  • Hilarious!

  • If anything can get me out of a crappy mood this show can..gotta love it.

  • One of the funniest moments in TV history!

  • @Aeolis7 i totally agree!!

  • @Aeolis7 Indeed!!!

  • Two strokes of genius here. One, creating the character of Jim and having him as a regular on the show. Two, and even bigger, casting Christopher Lloyd in the role. He OWNS the part in a way nobody else could ever have done.

  • I never get sick of watching this.

  • R.I.P jeff willl miss you buddy

  • LOL i love this! what does a yellow light mean? slow down LOL

  • CLASSIC.

  • Girl sitting behind Jim looks like Jennifer Grey.

  • Actually Conaway makes this scene -- and it's great -- work, though it's clearly Lloyd's playground. And Ms Henner is fantastic.

  • Classic scene. RIP Jeff Conaway.

  • Rest in Peace Jeff

  • One of the funniest scenes ever on TV IMO. We'll miss ya, Jeff, RIP.

  • RIP Jeff Conaway.

This will always be one of my favorite moments from this series. I nearly cried from laughter just now.

I'm still not sure what a yellow light means though. Anyone who can help :)

  • You will always be "bobbie" R.I.P. Jeff.

  • One of the Golden moments from the series.

  • Thanks for the laughs Jeff, I hope you now can RIP :*(

  • Rip Jeff ...

  • Thanks for tha laughs, and song, even that bikini summer, lol.

    rip Jeff

  • Yellow lights were still fairly new when this originally aired.

  • @samsticka R u kidding??

  • @jmliss66 No, I'm not kidding. Traffic lights didn't used to have yellow lights. They just had red and green. They first came about in the late 60's-early 70's. So maybe not THAT new.

  • @samsticka what country do you live in??? "The first four-way, three-color traffic light was created by police officer William Potts in Detroit, Michigan in 1920." via Wikiedia...

  • @jmliss66 Is that so?

  • @samsticka Would I lie to you??? I kinda have a thing about people learning information that is correct...

  • @jmliss66 I never accused you of lying. I guess what I meant was yellow lights were new to New York at the time this episode aired. Most light posts then had only red and green lights. Some had yellow, I'll admit that. But not very many.

  • @jmliss66 Sorry, didnt mean to jump down your throat. It just cracks me up that to people your age think the 60' & 70's were the dark ages. Kids on the internet post away w/out any thought to the actual facts. And yellow lights did exist in NYC in the 60's & 70's... this entire scene is satire, a parody.

  • RIP Jeff Conaway x

  • jim's in danger of getting lead poisioning with the amount of times he's licking that pencil

  • @mumbojumbo766 ...as if it matters .. jim's already in outer space..LOL

  • R.I.P. Jeff conaway

  • RIP, Bobby Wheeler... You were an invaluable part of this scene, as well as the whole show!

  • @screwyootube1 He doesn't read here.

  • one of my favorite scenes from Taxi...so sad that Mr. Conaway passed away

  • R.I.P, Jeff. Kind of ironic that he asks Rev Jim about narcotics addiction. :/

  • I thought that was the test. haha

  • Rest in peace, beautiful boy. I always thought you should have been a much bigger star. So talented. You will be missed.

  • i already miss jeff. very sad day, big, big loss

  • The passing of Jeff Conaway is so sad. He was so young. Great actor!

  • @patwickgriff he was 60 years old..that isnt that young.LOL

  • @Lawnie08 by today's standards, thats pretty young to die.

  • Rip fpr Jeff Conaway

  • Funniest scene indeed. I can't believe that seven people dislike this.

I hope Jeff found that peace he has been looking for.

  • I love this scene!!! I've watched it a million times & I still laugh like a fool..lol..TV is not what it used to be. Classic.

"This is the most reading I've done in years."

"I thought this was the test!"

    RIP Jeff Conaway <3

  • I think the scene works specifically because it's Bobby saying "Slow down"! Alex would know to quit after two tries, Elaine's too patient and Tony wouldn't get mad enough for it to be funny.

  • Jim was one of the best things on that show !

  • By far the Funniest scene in tv history!!!! Love this show!! RIP Jeff Conaway!!

  • @rwuest72, Not the funniest, though way up there on the list.

I’d put the WKRP Thanksgiving episode, the Mary Tyler Moore funeral episode, and lots of stuff from the Carol Burnett show as at least equal to it.

  • @COMALiteJ It was "Taxi's" best moment though!

  • @COMALiteJ I gotta throw in there, from All in the Family, when Archie & the Meathead have different accounts of the story of the refrigerator repairman, and his helper. And who forget the Barney Miller "Hash" episode? Man, those were the best of times for TV!

  • RIP, Jeff Conaway. His suffering and pain are over. From this hysterical scene in Taxi (I love the way he says "slow down" for the third time through clenched teeth) to his unforgettable role as Kenicki in Grease, he was a brilliant actor with a tortured life.

  • @Mr429guy I liked his character in 'Babylon 5' too... as Zack Allen watch?v=iXciZmZjXo8

  • Rest In Peace, Jeff Conaway!

  • Priceless, longest laugh ever gotten with a gag on Taxi. Timeless.

  • RIP Jeff Conaway. Thanks for the great laughs.

  • Rest in Peace Jeff Conoway.

  • Hahahahahaha laughed so hard I cried bahahahaha R.I.P Jeff

  • RIP Jeff. We shall never forget you.

  • Reverend Jim RULES!!!! :D

  • Best Taxi episode EVER...

    classic!!

  • OMG, one of the funniest episodes. I cried the first time I saw it. Bring back more shows like this. R.I.P. Grease Lightening :(

  • RIP Jeff Conaway. Your illuminating life will never grow dim in my eyes.

  • I remember watching this years ago. I was laughing so hard, I feel on the floor! Where are these kinds of shows today? They don't exist!!!

  • R.I.P....jeff....no more pain...

  • Farewell Bobby Wheeler.

  • I loved Jeff Conaway and the rest of the cast. One of the best tv shows ever. Hilarious! Classic tv moment. TV today is pure junk. RIP Jeff "Bobby Wheeler"

    Conaway.

  • RIP Jeff "Wheeler" Conaway.

  • One of my FAV TV moments. RIP Jeff Conaway : (

  • So sad.

  • RIP Jeff Conway.

  • Peace in your next life Jeff. Too bad this one didn't go so well. LOVED you in Taxi!

  • RIP Bobby Wheeler...

  • RIP Jeff - thanks for the great childhood memories!!

  • Wishing you peace Jeff!

  • r.i.p. jeff, i used to watch taxi all the time as a kid, shame

  • RIP Jeff. You will be missed.

  • So sad about Jeff Conoway's passing!

  • Awww RIP Jeff!!! But this scene is hysterical!!

  • I actually miss laugh tracks and live-studio audiences.

  • your talent lives on... rest in peace.
