I don't understand, why people, while having option between pills with and cough syrup, choose the second one. I mean, with pills, at least, you know EXACTLY how many mg did you take. Which is rather important, if you want to play with DXM.

You look on the back of the bottle and it'll say maybe something like 5mg/15ml so then if you have a 4 ounce bottle you know it's gonna be about 350mg. But I do agree, cough syrup is icky and pills are much easier to take. One should be careful though of triple c's since the Chlorpheniramine Mealate is known to increase risk for health issues while on DXM, this includes Onley's Lesions and seizures so be careful!
