I support the healthcare bill because I love this country and think that its signing was a great day for America! Rush claims only conservatives love America, I ask this... What about love for the 26 year old who now can have insurance in his early adulthood and thus not see his life cut short due to a treatable medical condition? Or love for the child with a pre-existing condition who can now get that condition treated and get the best possible start in life?

The bill that passed congress will allow working people to purchase insurance on an insurance exchange which allows for competition and choice. There will be subsidies for working people who can't afford the premiums, yes, but they won't be giving healthcare away free!

I will give you a solution. This will deal with the unemployment issue and healthcare. Get rid of capital gains taxes for at least a year. Cut the corporate tax from 35% to 20%. This will create private sector jobs like never before. Develop TORT reform. Let business buy across states lines. Common sense!

We've been cutting taxes for wealthy people and investors for about 4 decades now, the top tax rate used to be 95%, now it is 35%! Eventually we are going to have to have negative tax rates for wealthy people in order to jump start the economy if we continue this trend!

The bill passage was a landmark achievement for our country. It has its flaws, but it was a proactive response to the healthcare crisis we face. I say 'Bravo' to President Obama.

It isn't perfect, but it is a damn good start. We have let the insurance companies dominate the industry for FAR TOO LONG.
