  • Better version, and I don't hat Phill Collins he's great :)

  • This guy's falsetto voice is really bad, IMO. Nice spin on the song, though.

  • Skins brought me here :)

  • For some reason every time I watch this video and listen to one of my favorite songs from the Postal Service, I feel as if I am watching a British Soap Opera. Why? I have no idea....😳

  • what?

  • Wow...this is one one of my favorite Phil Collins songs...and they did an awesome job of covering it while giving it their own feel.

  • this is my favorite version of "against all odds"...i love the postal service <3

  • nice cover. very interesting in its own right. quite different from the original, the scratchy beginning was my fave part.

  • sorry,i word it incorrectly. its still a great song

  • I actually like the original better. Phil Collins gave it a more deep feeling.

  • I wish he would have sung louder or toned down the music. It's a great cover of that 80s song but you can barely hear him. But maybe that was the point. IDK. I had a love/hate thing for the Postal Service. A lot of stuff they did was beautiful and fantastic, and yet they did a lot of annoying things. For example all their songs seemed to have this high pitched CLACK sound in the track.

  • this song is great phil collins would have been proud

  • @TheCreeperloc13 "Would have been"? Did Phil Collins die?

  • What movie is this?

  • Alexa disliked this video 64 times u_u

  • Needs moar Phil Collins

  • NOT THE BEES

  • One of my favorite movies, with one of my favorite bands, and one of my favorite songs. It doesn't get any better than this!

  • What is it with Wicker Park and it's soundtrack?

  • This video is akin to a spiritual journey.

  • I think *blank* is alot better than *blank*, everyone who thinks otherwise is a superficial *blank* who doesn't appreciate *blank*, you fucking *blanks*.

  • I've enjoyed some of The Postal Service tracks I've heard over the years but this is straight up garbage. I appreciate the respect they had for Collins to try and recreate the track on their own terms but they failed miserably. Some songs just aren't meant to be redone with a cheesy hipster twist.

  • @subtleishkopf How can you call this crap????!!! I get the chills every single time I listen to it. Not trying to disrespect Phil Collins (he is the man)...but this cover is absolutely perfect.

  • PS. Ive learned that the only people that use the term "hipster" are people who either wish they were one or think they are...both are impossible seeing as how "hipsters" dont actually exist...they are a figment of your imagination.

  • @sneaky156 nope

  • I love the part at 1:20 almost like a drop except better.

  • I honestly can't say I've heard a bad cover of this song but I love this one. Just love the emotion in Ben's voice.

  • ..... Love the sentimental value of this song

  • Lamp drop was coolest part

  • What do you expect? You cheat on 2 chicks with each other, what else would happen? Scott Pilgrim taught me that.

  • @legwaterlily12 Scott Pilgrim was made after 2007. :x

  • 56 people that haven't left 1984

  • i love this version. and i love this movie

  • True talent, good song&video reguardless of the 56 terds stick those thumbs in your ass!!~detroit,mi

  • Can I punch whoever disliked this?

  • @askylitlove i bet one was Phil Collins!

  • @askylitlove Sure but don't hit them too hard.

  • @askylitlove you have my permission.

  • @askylitlove i will help you punch these 74 people

  • I always sing along to this song when I hear it, no matter what I'm doing.

  • 56 faggots

  • I love the R&B-ish kind of sound they put into the cover.

  • what is the name of the movie?

  • @0o0shawty0o0 wicker park

  • This song doesn't have the feeling Phil's has.

  • DOES SOMEBODY REMEMBER: a video of 2 boys (like 16 years old) they are in a bar ...and they seamed to be in love but at the end of the video they go out and we realized that one of them it's wearing a white dress...... it's a girl but with really short hair...and you say...oh "I THOUGHT THAT THEY WERE 2 BOYS IN LOVE"...SOMEBODY...REMEMBER???PLEASE

  • @ale5punk Silversun Pickups - Lazy Eye

  • its wicker park with Josh Harnett and this song is supa cool

  • Is it at a movie on video?

  • take a look at me b@#$%es ha ha ha ha ha ha ga BIG PMPKIN KING!!!!!

  • @OMGItsMegan014 I'm pretty sure that is because it is the same lead singer.

  • 51 people didn't listen after 1:21.

  • God, no one cares if you like the Postal Service's version better, or Phil Collins' version better. It's a goddamn song meant to be enjoyed. Just because someone may like the Postal Service's version better doesn't make them a moron, and the same with Phil Collins. I think this is a really amazing song from both artists.

  • @RawrrDinosaur754 fuck you!

  • @thelurker25 Go fuck yourself, you low-life piece of shit.

    'k bye!

  • @OMGItsMegan014

It's a side project by death cab.

  • Postal Service >>> Phil

  • @OMGItsMegan014 Ben Gibbard sings for PS and DCFC.

  • I miss The Postal Service :(

  • lamp?

  • wicked voice!

I love this version though it gives me chills.

  • nice job on a classic!

  • look, why does everyone have to debate who sings this better? The important thing is that Phil Collins wrote amazing songs, and Ben loved this one so much he redid it, what does it matter whose is the better version.

  • Yes Postal Service own this!!! That is funny. True True

  • I can't stop listening.

  • I like this tribute, it is very well done. But Collins is much better at singing than Gibbard in this song. Phil hits the notes longer and richer. it just sounds all around better. From 2:38 on in this song I can't really stand the singing...

  • amazing <3

  • Breathtaking.

  • this version is NICE!

  • peter gabriel > phil collins

  • Big fan of Phil Collins. Nice.

  • Who the Fuck is Phil Collins?

  • @lilykinz56 Thats what I wondered. lol ^^

  • I somewhat like that band, and Death Cab, but it's definitively not as good as Phil Collins' version.

  • This is a cover, not a tribute, stop comparing it as if its suppose to be at all like the original expect for the lyrics.

  • I much prefer this version

  • lets be honest, if you liked the original, you wont like this. because you expect the original, so, naturally, you prefer it.

  • Im pretty sure Mr. Collins would enjoy this.

  • well this is kinda cool... sounds like some college band experimenting,,, ain't quite got it right... -- not aweful.. rather have some good metal... I will look for some now.. :)

  • you know someones mad, when they walk through a snow storm breathing heavily.

  • omg i had watched this video all the time, and loved it. but once i found out it had the girl from 28 weeks later, and the girl from Mr. Nobody i freaked!! i now love this video even more.

  • @itsmariahx lol the clip this video is from is from the movie Wicker Park haha

  • @itsmariahx and Josh Hartnett

  • I HAVE THIS FILM, WICKER PARK,WITH THIS VIDEO IN IT. I LOVE WHERE THEY PUT THE VIDEO INTO THE MOVIE.

  • I Don't Give A FooDoodle About Who Sings It-Just The Lyrics Are Amazing. (:

  • both version are gooood, just enjoy the music peeeps ;p

  • amazing

  • I love this version *.*

  • This definitely brings a flavor the the song with a mix that reminds me of Radiohead. It's pretty fantastic engineering and an awesome spin-homage. The clips from the movie really pound the effect of the original lyrics home, too.

  • I personally like both versions. If anything, this is a tribute to an epic song. It's all about the love, man.

  • you are an idiot if you say that this is better than phil collins...i love TPS, and this song...but you can't beat the maker

  • Wow. Leave it to TPS to one-up Phil Collins. Epic cover.

  • You can’t compare the two songs. Two completely different genres. saying you don’t like one of them is just stupid, since its a matter of what music you hear

  • Comment removed

  • I had to turn this off halfway through and go back to Phil lol

  • One of the best covers, Ever!

  • Being heartbroken feels a little better after hearing this! Love the postal service

  • lol i just watched the movie XD it was pretty awesome. mind boggling stuff... lol i only watched the movie cause this music video made it look good. glad i watched it thoug, the movie actually was amzing. and i love this cover XD

  • @ki857 I recommend you to watch the original movie. It´s french, called "L`appartment"...hundreds of times more dramatic, real and moving.

  • I just found recently this music video and even though I've never heard of it before I want to see the movie now.

  • Mariah Carey version was better..

    #NOT

  • @yesimnosytoo A not joke that actually made me laugh, thanks for that, now I have a renewed faith in all things.

  • The postal service (DELIVER) a stunning interpretation of a 17 year old theme song...and to the hate brigade, u guys are adorable.(I will hug you when no one will)

reality check sequence(peep pob peep boo)::::=:::: no phil collins no epic cover version>>>>>>

  • The postal service (DELIVER) a stunning interpretation of a 17 year old theme song...and to the hate brigade, u guys are adorable.(I will hug you when no one will)

reality check::::=:::: no phil collins no epic cover version>>>>>>

  • I like Phil's version. I love this one. I love The Postal Service.

  • Hey slow down..that man worked his ass off and the mean bitch, (A) sucked his cash dry....I love the Collins, so f take a hike.

  • God.. This video.. :'( It makes me feel sad/strange

    I loo00ve wicker park!

  • What the hell is this! Go to Phil Collins page...this is BS...

  • this song was good til 1:21 into it and i got all techno crappy. and Gibbard's auto tuned "Left" on 1:53 is painful to here

  • Wow, Phil Collins just got raped...

  • im not a phil collins fan but this song is swt!

  • Probably the best cover in all of music kingdom.

  • Hmmm, okay, I gotta say something here. As a musician and music lover, I'm not gonna slam this version....I think it's interesting....lacking emotion...but certainly exhibiting creativity. That said, I can't imagine why anyone would call this song 100% better than the original. What makes the original so gripping is that in every second of the song you can hear that poor man tearing his own heart out with every word...something that can never be replicated in a cover...it's just not personal.

  • where it is in the movie? i cant find the scene :o

  • I can't believe i only just found these guys!

  • it's good enough Phil ok'd it's cover version. In fact this an amazing cover. you can connect with the singer. isn't that what it's all about. and yes I was alive when the first came out.

  • She had blue eyes too. This song is on repeat for as long as I am. Thanks for this.

  • Better then the original LOL

  • 2:49.... Take a look at me now.

    Feel the pain!

  • This is known as one of the best covers of any song of all time, and the second best covers of any song of all time by Rolling Stone so haters can shut the fuck up.

  • why is it that people get all hissy about cover versions? anyone would think you wrote the song! you do know how the copyright system works with cover versions right? the artist (in this case, loosely speaking, phil collins) has to give their permission for you too cover it, and then they take the lion share of all the royalties... i don't see phil complaining, do you?

plus, this isn't guantanamo bay. if the music is upsetting you, change the record!

  • i like that movie a bunches

  • A year Gone since she walked away.. This song gets to me every time.

  • @dreamdextreme I know the feeling.

Happens to me as well when I listen to this.

  • wait this is so good...

  • @jameswestonsvault @KeganRobert

How many people do you see commenting on Phil Collin's music calling it.. oh, something like... "shitty classic rock. The kind of music that's only for people who want to relive there old days when they were young and when they weren't useless"? I highly doubt any if at all. Instead of thrashing this remake of your loved song, pleas go and listen to YOUR song while we listen to OUR'S. I'll gladly keep away from your horrible "classic" and stick to my updated one.

  • Best cover I have ever heard.

  • wow.. neato hipster crappy effect version. i think i heard this in silverlake the other day.. where is the emotion again?

  • The story of my life....

  • holy shit are you kidding me phil collins is TEN times better damn these people suck

  • i dug this crazy movie, so atmospheric

  • this song always depresses me, but when im depressed it makes me feel better

  • <3 it

  • If Phil Collins brought you here, get the Hell out and DO NOT play this video.....because The Postal Service OWN this song. Stop hating and go listen to the original. This is 100% better.

  • @jtswhip what..

    ?

  • @jtswhip this comment confuses me. You say the Postal Service OWNS this song...which is a good thing in today's language...Then you say go listen to the original because it's 100% better. I guess that still gives Phil the 1up since he's 100% better than OWN. Eh, either way, I like both but nobody beats Phil:p

  • @jtswhip Thumbs-down. Phil Collins brought me here. The Postal Service made me stay. It's as if you think that I can't genuinely enjoy -good music-. You silly creature.

  • @jtswhip You don't own a song if you made a cover of it....this song isn't that great anyway.

  • @jtswhip so true..

  • @jtswhip While I love Postal Service, and I think this is a fantastic cover, I think you should show some respect for Phil Collins. I'm sure that Postal Service themselves love the original and respect Phil Collins, which is why they covered the song in the first place. They don't OWN the song, Phil does. Postal Service made it their own. There's a difference. Thanks.

Hurray for Postal Service and Phil Collins.

  • @jtswhip VAG!

  • @jtswhip Stop ranting, hater. This is like some Flying Lizards version of a great song.

  • @jtswhip we must pay homage to phil colins for without him this song would not exist....

  • @jtswhip you're a fucking retard, and so are the people who liked your ignorant comment. Obviously the Postal Service like the original version or THEY WOULDN'T HAVE COVERED THE FUCKING SONG.

  • @jtswhip

You're a fucking douchebag if you think PS has to "own this song". Quit being a fucking fanboy. Have some fucking respect, you nasty fucker.

  • @GnomesAmok You're an angry person. Phil Collins version is very meh, it's a cheesy 80s love song, and that's about it. This version is clearly superior in vocals, music, and emotion.

  • @Bana871

Buh buh bullshit opinion bullshit opinion, fuck off moron.

  • @Bana871 lmao superior vocals my ass

  • @GnomesAmok

    Your vocabulary is REMARKABLE.

  • @GnomesAmok "Have some respect you nasty fucker" /sigh...

  • I have an open mind to "remake" of songs but this is really bad!

Want to listen to the real and original masterpiece by Phil Collins

    watch?v=uVjEcIANv1o

  • Liebe es.

  • These guys never fail at impressing me.

  • what's the actors name in this music song? or the movie?

  • @bastion87 its josh hartnett and the movie is wicker park

  • @bastion87 Josh Harnett

  • One of my favorite movies. One of my favorite artists. One of my favorite songs. This video has made my day <3

  • So everyone hates comments on the dislike bar, yet everytime I put a video, the highest rated comment is on the dislike bar. Fuck sakes guys.
