@MineBrownies Quill does not equal conversion. It never has. Quill equals threaded fork, which can be both old school road or track. NJS, or any other high end vintage steel frame, is going to be threaded, and thus quill.

you would want a lower ratio... I don't know to much about brands though.

a good ratio to use is 42 for the chain ring then a 15 or 16 in the back like

42:15/16

then

44/46:16/17/18

then you could even use like

48:15 but its hard so start low then go big

It's better to find a Frame set such as a Bianchi Super Pista and build off that.  Ur gonna bust a rim, fork, or a face curb jumping on the Globe1. I have a 1984 Trek 660 conversion fixie. 48X16T setup, Uro seat post, Moab seat, Japan world class velo bars chopped and flipped as bullhorns, 27" aluminum rim in rear with Surly flipflop hub, 700c steelie in front (I like a little more weight in front).
