What Dr. Zakir Naik says is true about women in the western media and other cultures being portrayed as sex objects, some women enjoy the attention and flattery, others believe it is degrading, but essentially it is their choice, they have free will to be part of this or not.

What is disturbing is the high rates of human trafficking, the sex industry in Muslim countries like Turkey and the Arabian Peninsula, they should be closest to Islam but they are the ones who fund this terrible industry.

In this video, the Muslim holy man describes the approved Islamic conditions during which a man may murder his wife.  You are correct, though... murdering a woman is technically not forcing them to do something they do not want to do...except to discontinue living, of course.

Here is a good one ---> "Wife Beating in Islam - The Rules". This gentleman points out that bruises and bleeding must not result from a wife beating. Of course, policemen the world over know that beating someone with a telephone book or a bagfull of sand achieves this goal of torture without marks. How does your husband beat you?

It will end; the question is when? Here in the United States, we once had a similar custom on public buses. Of course, the demographic directed to the back didn't like it, but they had no say in the matter. The practice ended once those in power stopped lying to themselves that there was anything "normal" about it.

Your comment about Ayesha being 12 then 14 is a product of this rehabilitation effort. The Hadith saying she was nine was written by a man who was not present for the wedding and away in Iraq. The reason that it came back to 9 over years is because people have wanted to emphasise her purity however without realising the detrimental affects on Mohammads image. Aisha also said she was a little girl when Surah(The Moon) was revealed.

However, women at that Era married often. Mary was also very young. I do not believe men should marry children however sadly it does happen in some cultures.
