My question is ive skated all my life but never learned anything but basic skating, I have pretty good balance im able to skate on both front wheels but some of the stuff im having a tough time with. how often did you practice when you first started learning to jam skate?

@srttavares1 I worked in a skating rink when I first started so I was constantly skating. It took me some time to learn certain moves. I would say at first I only spent maybe an hour a day practicing the rest of the time I was just skating. Each person is different though. You just kinda learn at your own pace.

I believe it has been called the crab walk since the beginning of jamskating time lol Learn to Jamskate series created by former Team Riedell recently Jamskating Entertainment crew.. What happens is people see the move and don't know what it is called then make up their own name and spread that name. I have never heard it called the pac man before sounds a lot cooler than crab walk lol. :D

Actually the C-Walk, known by several other names (depending on where you are from & your lifestyle) like Clown Walk, Crip Walk, & Crown Walk, involves several different steps/moves. These moves are Shuffles, Heel Toe, & The V/V Step which is also known as the Crab or Crab Walk, by dancers and skaters. So this is really just a step that is done when people are Cripping. Jamskaters call it Crab Walk that why I called it that in this tutorial. If it was a Hip-Hop tutorial I would call it The V.

You're very sweet to share these. I've just discovered freestyle slalom, and I've realized how much coordination it takes to skate in one place. I've seen some rollerjam how to videos, but they're starting at a way more advanced place. I understand this move and will be able to practice it. I might even be able to do it. i like your videos and i usually add on my opinion to moves of other good skaters such as yourself.. but to add more variety to this move, try sliding one foot in front of the other and alternate that for every switch..
