It's funny to see a reference to Planes Trains and Automobiles since not it isn't really a household name amongst everyone. Sadly. It isn't as recognizable as Home Alone or Sixteen Candles, for example. Its seriously underrated though.

@seriousguynogames3: I respectfully disagree. I understand what you're saying -- it's almost as if they're explaining the joke, which of course in most cases kills a joke.
But for some reason, it "works" here. At least for me. I can't say why, exactly...I think it's because it's kind of a self-referential observation. Kind of making fun of the fact that Family guy frequently parodies pop culture, but doing so WITHIN the scene. I dunno...but I liked it. :-)

I almost started crying. Now I understand how Peter is. He's not a nuisance. He's just special. And nobody should complain him about how he is. I like him, and I will always like him.Everyone loves Peter no matter how he is. So Lois should be ashamed and realize that Peter is a natural talent.
