Im so tired of people getting all butt hurt over jokes. Its going to become where we cant joke about anything because people get upset over it. Here is my question to everyone who is bashing on this comedy bit, if you dont like Dane Cook and his jokes why are you watching this video? Get the fuck over it, it is a joke. If you dont like it then dont fucking watch it.
@squeaks1112 I'm not butt hurt over someone joking about atheists it's just that jokes are supposed to be funny... I watched this because I thought it might be but it wasn't.
This is place to leave comments and I had to watch it first to see if it was good or bad, You are not very bright are you?
Dont get offended by this. They left out the part of it where he says hes not making fun of atheist he just talking about that one person not all atheist. And dont hate on our beliefs. I believe in the Lord %100 and 2 of my BEST friends are atheist. I dont judge them on there beliefs and they dont judge me :P
Okay people, this is COMEDY!!!! Nobody should be offended by this and hate on other beliefs just because of this. So as offensive as this sounds, GET OVER IT!
Yeah, Atheists are assholes. At least the faction Atheists of today. Half of these loosers aren't even legit. Just a bunch of people quoting the Burden of proof. Like it is some sort of religious doctrine. Which of course I find hilarious and pathetic at the same time. Because they have a common set of beliefs. The only differences really is they never actually wrote this stuff down. Yet, that's somehow not a religion. Oh yeah, whatever happened to the word tolerance?
I was raised Jewish but i'm agnostic, i don't believe in god but I respect if you do. You can believe in what you want. This is a very insulting act and one of his least funny "jokes", it's not even a joke it's a religion rant and it makes him look like a douche to all other religions.

@oNallieGirl My parents gave me life ,your imaginary sky daddy doesn't exist ,humans created god and gods just as they have done through out the ages , from the earliest forms of nature worship to polytheism ,i don't expect cult members to realize they are in cults anyway , its a shame too that they don't realize they're in a cult until they are all wearing nikes and drinking the cool-ade, also a figment of your imagination isn't capable of "giving" me anything either.
@ceedeerules Eh. Maybe get an education or read a science book. If you don't want to buy a science book go to a public library, if you're to lazy then google it.
@Rainbowstar668 To ask "who" is a ridiculous question , i think "what" would be the the more scientific question to ask in regards to beginning the universe as we know it. looking for a naturalistic process in which the event happened and that can be verified with solid incontrovertible evidence, not just saying "god did it" and essentially ending the need to study things further by ascribing supernatural means to things.
@Rainbowstar668 no one was trying to "change your beliefs" ,you're welcome to them ,cling to them all you want. And oh yeah by the way ........god is imaginary.
@nothingtoyouatall God loves u God loves u God loves u God loves u God loves u God loves u God loves u God loves u....... i'll keep it like that goodbye
@Rainbowstar668 i'd expect that kind of response from a thirteen year old girl that hasn't finished basic high school science and biology courses in school yet , i just hope that you do open your eyes one day when you do reach the age of reason,i wish you well , goodbye to you too.
@nothingtoyouatall listen i don't f***ing care for your opinion so shut the h*ll up and let us beleive what we believe damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@vsbunnyboo12 And what makes you think i give a flying fuck about what the hell you think about what i should do?,oh thats right you don't think(it's against your religion). oh and by the way ,i don't seem to recall addressing you in the first place so PISS OFF .................waste of space.
@jacg324 Also I'm not even discounting the possibility that all references to Gods around the world were actually alien encounters. Even direct Bible quotes could be interpreted as seeing UFO type phenomenon. And as far as you being raised Atheist, I feel sorry for you. You're missing out on some good stuff.
@Thomas99Anderson I am not going to get into UFO's. I have not done enough research into the varying theories. All I know is that it seems unlikely that aliens would travel for thousands of years (no faster-than-light bs) just to leave crop circles and whatnot. Contact would be initiated, imo. Also, that "I feel sorry for you" crap *really* gets annoying, it makes you look like you have such a superiority complex. Which I will admit I am guilty of.
@jacg324 It's not about having a complex at all, superiority or inferioirty, it's about knowing and accepting the truth. Like @megaead69 said below about having the faith that no Creator exists is more of a stretch than believing that one does. Sure, there is scietific reasons for how things happen, but science doesn't explain, why thing happen. Space dust clumps together to form rock, which grows to form planets, but the question is...why does it?
@Thomas99Anderson Science *does* explain why, by explaining the fundamental laws of the universe. Those laws are how they are for our universe, and are different for each possible universe, as described in multiverse theory and when you consider higher dimensions.
It takes no faith for me to dismiss without that which is claimed without proof, while it takes ultimate faith to believe these extraordinary claims without proof.
@jacg324 Your ignorance on the subject matter of ancient peoples is quite astounding. Ancient people from around the world, including those in the Western Hemisphere knew quite a lot about science, most notably, astrology. Remember there were no computers and GPS back then. The stars were their guide. Explain the Mayan Calender, for example.
@Thomas99Anderson That is quite the assumption, claiming my ignorance. I know enough about ancient peoples to make the assertion that we, currently, are much more advanced, and no longer need to rely on mythology to define our society. The Mayan calender is a wonderful example of empirical observation of the environment to devise a system to explain it, much like modern day scientists. Unfortunately, they also deemed it fit to sacrifice people by the thousands to appease their gods...
@jacg324 How do you know that we are much more advanced than ancient peoples when it comes to astrology and other related sciences? Who's to say that some of the ancient civilizations weren't so much more advanced than us that they actually left this planet. Huh? Yeah, I'm referring to those civs that mysteriously disappeared. Like the Mayans, like the Incans, and others. Where did they go? I'm betting the 5th planet from the Star Pleadies in the Pegasus galaxy.
@Thomas99Anderson The Mayans died off due to the introduction of diseases brought to them by Europeans. At any rate, you don't know that that planet exists, seen as how we cannot observe other planets around neighboring stars, much less in other galaxies. Not to mention extragalactic travel would take billions of years and technology extraordinarily advanced. The kind that would have left signs of its existence. Now for my ad homenim attack: you are nuts. They died off. Big freakin deal.
If the force of gravity in the Universe were off by one inch over a span of 14 billion light years (approximate size of the Universe) planets could not exist. ex. of argument from precision.
There are more atoms in a drop of water than there are drops of water in the Mediterranean Sea, EACH atom has electrons revolving the central proton at a velocity of approx. 10,000miles/hour.... ex. of argument from the Interactivity of the World as Whole.
@megaead69 okay... there are so many things wrong with these statements. Scientifically and logically. First off, your units of measure are.. well, wrong. Gravity is not measured in inches. Gravity is a product of mass, and is different for each planet because each planet has a different mass.
Logically speaking, who are you to say this universe is improbable? Have you compared it against other universes? Comparison is the basic tenant of statistics. Have you seen other universes? I thought not.
@jacg324 I obviously realize how Gravity is and Isn't measured. My statement relates the to the relative precision necessary to allow for any planet to be possible.
To believe that the Universe did not have a Creator is much more of a stretch than to believe that it did.
@megaead69 Urr, if there is attraction between particles, then they will eventually coalesce into a greater structure... Plus, you seem to have the observation backwards. "The universe is perfect for us and everything in it, therefore it was created." That is fallacious. It should be "Everything we observe is a direct result of the initial conditions of the universe, and we evolved to fill our current role within that universe."
@jacg324 I accept evolution but am not observing backwards.I paid way too much money for university to not realize what fallacious reasoning is.You believe the Universe did not have a Creator despite an abundance of reasons to believe that there was a Creator behind it.You think it's more plausible that all the natural laws present in the Universe just came to be on their own.Physiology, physics and chemistry don't appear to be precise & uniformed, they are precise & uniformed.
@megaead69 You repeatedly say "abundance of reasons" yet never cite anything that cannot be explained by science and observation. Besides, where did this creator come from, hmm? If it was always there, then why couldn't the universe always be there? You say the complexity of the universe necessitates a creator. The creator would have to then be even more complex. You can see where this is going.
@jacg324 what lightweight rhetoric straight from Richard Dawkins. Science explains how things operate not why the laws of nature are uniform and structured or why their is something rather than nothing. Even Sigmund Freud acknowledged this by saying "The proof of the existence or non existence of God is not possible because it is not a scientific question."
@megaead69 SIgmund Freud was a psychologist, not a physicist or something somewhat more credible on the matter. Besides, when faced with my question, you resort to ad homenim attacks. You utterly FAILED to answer my question.
@jacg324 Freud recognized what is accepted throughout academia. The question of whether or not the Universe had a Creator is not in the purview of the sciences. Through Big Bang cosmology, which was developed by Catholic Priest/Physicist Georges Lemaitre, we know the Universe was not "always there".
There are no scientifically recognized theories as to what, If anything, existed prior to the Big Bang.
@megaead69 That right there is the problem. Science is not the basis for absolute truth. Even in the Paranormal, a Scientific method of testing is still possible. Though it isn't technically Science.
@nothingtoyouatall lol, no God's not imaginary, sometime long ago some guy just said, I think i'll make up... god. Yeah, everyone will believe in it, i'll have a book written, and lets call it, ummm....the Bible, yeah. And i'll have it written and everyone will think it's true, hahaha it'll be hilarious. uhh... no.
I really dont see what so un believable about a Creator making the earth and the skies, but ok, lets not believe in a Creator, lets believe in it all just poppin of out of nowhere.
@5KnuckleShuffle94 throughout recorded history cultures around the world have made up gods, the Greeks had many "gods" that they imagined up for a way to explain the natural world, many tribes of different aboriginal people around the world imagined up tens of thousands of "gods" none of which was real, the natural world is all there is ,there are no gods.the only place gods exist is in our minds which are fairly powerful in the area of imagination , the veracity of biblical claims is ridiculous.
@nothingtoyouatall and "popping out of nowhere" is not the atheist position ,evolution in succession from simple beginnings is a lot more believable than "god waved his hand, and it was so"and the origins of the earth and evolution are two different things, if you would like to talk about cosmology i recommend checking out some Carl Sagan videos. The beginnings of life on earth started in the Oceans/and or lakes and rivers of the world and there is a huge amount of physical evidence for this.
@nothingtoyouatall To add to this, the universe didn't "pop out of nowhere" like your god did. No, it had its humble beginnings in the big bang, which we have *observable evidence* of. Also, some recent discoveries by mathematicians have shown that ours was not the only massive release of energy, nor the largest.
Plus, there are the higher dimensions to contemplate. Those lead to dizzying trails of thought, but show that there is so much more than the narrow minded belief that it is all for us.
Guys its about tolerance. I'm an atheist. This is pretty funny. I don't think Dane Cook was being serious. He is a fucking comedian. If he truly hates atheists or any other faith then fuck him...but I doubt he does.
hi iam a christian and sorry to tell you and lots of other people who will see this you wont go to heaven by doing good things you go to heaven if you repent and asept jesus christ as your lord "God bless u"
"We are all stardust" -Lawrence M. Krauss. We are all part of this world... just "borrowed" energy... this sounds almost religious (actually an Atheist) but it's the truth. And it is the beauty that we have learned through science... unlike anything religion has coughed up.
@DavySigfusson Literally. Every atom in your body larger than H1 is a product of a star's fusion process, everything bigger than Fe a product of supernovae... so amazing to contemplate... :D
i am not athiest BUT i am not religious either THUS i have no problem if you believe in jesus and god and bible things OR if you believe in becoming fertilizer so why don't you guys just calm down
Then bible eventually decomposes and sooner or later becomes dirt. What is wrong with enjoying the idea that your body is part of continuous cycle and seemly infinite cycle?
@neurfreiradikale Because our bodies are just vessels of the soul. Our soul is what makes us human, not our bodies. Without our soul, we would just be animals. Much like the many varieties of prehistoric man.
@neurfreiradikale Because our bodies are just vessels of the soul. Our soul is what makes us human, not our bodies. Without our soul, we would just be animals. Much like the many varieties of prehistoric man.
Oh, while I mention prehistoric man, some theories suggest that God, and the Angels, were actually aliens, which breeded with prehistoric man to create what we now know as modern man. As it has been said, that God made man in his own image.
That shlt was very idiot from an athiest saying he is going to become a TREE.. No.. What an idiot....... He will enter the lake of fire( AKA the SUN)... Why?? Because when body decomposed, they let out a gas.... These gas is equivalent to mass lost when the body decompose.... The same thing happens for wood burning, the smoke is equal to the mass loss from the wood being burnt.....
@skatefun12 Your comment, "god doesnt exist." was flagged as spam? That's terrible. It's not spam, although it is a little direct. Our views and beliefs are being oppressed! Oh wait, that's a Christians #1 goal.
@spasticchuckles016 I wish more Atheists were like you. Instead they have become exactly what they hate. They arrogantly judge others....You are a rarity and I happen to appreciate it.
@dezzierox101 Even if atheists can be arrogant pricks doesn't make this joke (or any dane cook jokes) funny. dane cook is the worst comedian since carlos mencia. daniel tosh and louis ck OWN amateurs like dane cook.
dude just chill out you didnt like then dont ruin others fun man that just a jerk face move im talking to all who was rudely critisizing this vid so imaganary good job for puting it up
problem is that most people think of atheists like this, see that guy is just a fuckin prick. Most atheists respect other peoples beliefs, just don't try to convince me that I'm wrong, it's the same for you, I can't convince you that you could be wrong from my point of view.
But you have to understand to that for someone who doesn't believe in an afterlife, it can be pretty hard to understand that people are very sure they will end up there
again, some atheists are assholes, just like anyone
I think that dude was either a Buddhist or he meant when he dies his body will become soil and a tree would go around like in nature lol but seriously
Athiestfags > christfags and if you get that joke rules 1 and 2
I LOVE Dane Cook and I agree with him, and I'm an atheist. He's freaking awesome! I HATE rude people. God bless you is our cultural norm and it is a way of saying, "I greet you" or "I acknowledge you." I say it... and I don't have a religion nor denomination. Poor people who fall victim to jerks.
It's amazing how Christians can try and influence their terms in speech such as "God bless you" and it is okay but if an atheist says "Sorry, I don't believe in god" in reply to their beliefs it is offensive in some manner. What a bunch of hypocrutes. Dane Cookey is not very bright because if he knew the origin of the statement he would actually have to think that your spirit would possibly leave your body if you sneezed too hard. People that say "God bless you" after sneezing are dumb.
Ok. 1. great work. 2. dane cook is a comedian. do you guys think all comedians tell all the truth? 3. quit arguing about athiesm. christians are afraid of death because you leave family and friends.
If all of you christians are sooo sure that there is a god and a heaven then why dont you hear of anybody celebrting a terminal cancer... I mean you should be so beyond happy to be dying that you couldn't contain yourselves... but not you all cry and are terrified at the thought of death..why? Dane Cook is a terrible comedian and actor. All of his jokes have been done already comedians ares supposed to be creative... he's just boring and likes to yell and wave his arms around.
Because who the hell wants to go through that?? It isnt fun getting a terminal illness knowing your going to lose your life on earth idiot.
Even if a Christian believes that they will get to go to Heaven and in time see their living family and friends at a later date when they pass that doesnt mean you dont want to live a long full life on earth and leave your family and friends.
What the hell do you care anyways? For Atheists who arent sposta care they sure do alot of Jesus bashing.
Atheists may argue against your beliefs, but notice how we only argue using words... we dont go flying planes into buildings, murdering abortion doctors or go about discriminating anyone.
You completly ignored the point, If heaven is so great then why not be excited to be going there when you realise you are going to die? Because the reality is christians dont KNOW... they just believe. and yet they go around and say with 100% certainty that they KNOW... absolute hypocritical morons!!
Who are U2 say what a believer feels?? How the hell do you know what any certain individual feels when death comes?? There have been many believers who know that they are going to die and dont fear death one bit.
You make it sound like if somebody is going to die its time to throw a party. Its a fact that most people dont want to die and leave their family & friends here on earth no matter what U believe. U make it sound like a believer should set around and hope 4 death. Your argument is shit
What I want to know is why is death still a sad and awful thing for the religious, because as far as I can tell they are all so sure of themselves. They know that there REALLY is a heaven, and that they REALLY are going there. What's to to be upset about when you are that sure of yourself?
It's because they dont KNOW, they just think they do. Because the religious cannot think rationally. if it makes them feel better then that's real enough for them.
I didnt ignore what you said son your just to damn stupid to absorb what I said as to why a believer isnt hopping up and down when death is near and if you couldnt figure it out the first two times I said it your not going to, simply because you dont want to.
All you do is have a narrow minded view as to how ALL people who believe in God should feel when they die and its a weak argument.
its a sad thing beacuase even though we do know they are in a better place its sad beacuase we are still down here on earth and have to live life without them and maybe they died a bad death so yah...........
I also see you ignored my statement about how Athiests just use words and reasoning in arguments and not discrimination tactics and murder... was that too real for you to accept? you do realise there hasn't ever been one single recorded death over Atheists arguing over who's more sure of themselves. I doubt the a standard calculator can estimate the amount of deaths in recorded history christianty has had... and that's just one religion... all that sensless violence based on irrational belief.
Now your trying to flip the script that Atheists are all loving nice and kind?? lol Ever heard of Stalin who was quoted as saying "You know, they are fooling us, there is no God...all this talk about God is sheer nonsense."
Yeah he was all peaceful and good. Yeah he was jjust chalk full of reasoning with his words, no discrimination tactics or murder with him.
Nice try with Stalin there but once again you failed to see what I wrote. There hasn't been any recorded deaths over atheists fighting over who's mre correct than the other. If you bring up Stalin, why not Mao Zedong, or kim il sung... all of of who were hardly rational men. Stalin didn't murder everyone because they believed in a god or didn't. That's exactly why wars are fought between the religious.
I could bring up Hitler in the same breath and I bet you would deny his religiousity...
I gave you a simple example fool. Do I have to make a list for you? Regardless of the reasons Stalin had people killed he was still a Godless man who had evil intentions.
Believer or non believers they all have good and bad seeds. You are too fucking stupid to figure that out I guess.
I put it to you before that there hasn't been any bloodshed over atheists who wanted to fight over who thought their theories or evidences were more correct... however there is a seemingly endless amount of bloodshed and loss of life over religion. You mention Stalin was an Athiest... so what? he never killed anyone who was religious simply because they believed something he didn't. If there are good and bad seeds regardless of belief then why is it needed. Do you need an invisible baby sitter?
The debate if there is a God or not has nothing 2do w/ people fighting over it. Just because I believe in God doesnt mean I condone people killing eachother because they say its in the name of God. In fact I think they have their beliefs quite twisted. Where the fuck do U think your going with this? You think all people who believe in God think the same way & just want to kill 4 their God? I already told U w/ Atheists & believers there have & will always be nutcases. Not every1 thinks the same
Hey you know Ted Bundy, yeah... that guy who raped and murdered countless women? Oh and the BTK killer, the bind, torture, kill guy, both were Christians. =) Also, god bless you... well that comes from the belief that when you sneeze DEMONS come out of your fucking nose!
it's so obvious that dane cook made that story up just so he actually has some jokes that aren't stolen. No atheist believes that you turn into anything after death... if they do then that's by definition not atheism
@stitta he doesnn't believe anything is going to happen to HIM, but they don't believe that their bodys disapear into thin air. The atheist was saying what will happen to his body.
Remember something. :
if you don't have anything nice to say, DONT SAY A FRICKEN WORD!
@stitta He did not mean he was becoming a tree literally dummy....He meant it as when you die your body is going to become part of the earth and he will become a tree in a scientific way.. by his body decomposing.....But still there is no reason to be proud of being an atheist...Oh yay nothing happens when I die!! and everyone will forget me because I was a condescending asshole!!
@stitta I think the guy wasnt saying he actually thought he was going to be a living thinking tree. I think that he meant he would decay back into the ground fertilizing more trees thus returning to the earth.
@stitta the definition of atheist is the belief that there is no god, after that everything is just up to the atheist's imagination of what'll happen (old comment of yours I know)

Funny how Dane should like to impose punishment on the man after he's dead.
Probably how the concept of: 'Sins of the Father get passed on to the son' came about. Some ancient comedian with a hate-on.

Thomas99Anderson 1 year ago
@Thomas99Anderson I am not going to get into UFO's. I have not done enough research into the varying theories. All I know is that it seems unlikely that aliens would travel for thousands of years (no faster-than-light bs) just to leave crop circles and whatnot. Contact would be initiated, imo. Also, that "I feel sorry for you" crap *really* gets annoying, it makes you look like you have such a superiority complex. Which I will admit I am guilty of.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 It's not about having a complex at all, superiority or inferioirty, it's about knowing and accepting the truth. Like @megaead69 said below about having the faith that no Creator exists is more of a stretch than believing that one does. Sure, there is scietific reasons for how things happen, but science doesn't explain, why thing happen. Space dust clumps together to form rock, which grows to form planets, but the question is...why does it?
Thomas99Anderson 1 year ago
@Thomas99Anderson Science *does* explain why, by explaining the fundamental laws of the universe. Those laws are how they are for our universe, and are different for each possible universe, as described in multiverse theory and when you consider higher dimensions.
It takes no faith for me to dismiss without that which is claimed without proof, while it takes ultimate faith to believe these extraordinary claims without proof.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 Your ignorance on the subject matter of ancient peoples is quite astounding. Ancient people from around the world, including those in the Western Hemisphere knew quite a lot about science, most notably, astrology. Remember there were no computers and GPS back then. The stars were their guide. Explain the Mayan Calender, for example.
Thomas99Anderson 1 year ago
@Thomas99Anderson That is quite the assumption, claiming my ignorance. I know enough about ancient peoples to make the assertion that we, currently, are much more advanced, and no longer need to rely on mythology to define our society. The Mayan calender is a wonderful example of empirical observation of the environment to devise a system to explain it, much like modern day scientists. Unfortunately, they also deemed it fit to sacrifice people by the thousands to appease their gods...
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 How do you know that we are much more advanced than ancient peoples when it comes to astrology and other related sciences? Who's to say that some of the ancient civilizations weren't so much more advanced than us that they actually left this planet. Huh? Yeah, I'm referring to those civs that mysteriously disappeared. Like the Mayans, like the Incans, and others. Where did they go? I'm betting the 5th planet from the Star Pleadies in the Pegasus galaxy.
Thomas99Anderson 1 year ago
@Thomas99Anderson The Mayans died off due to the introduction of diseases brought to them by Europeans. At any rate, you don't know that that planet exists, seen as how we cannot observe other planets around neighboring stars, much less in other galaxies. Not to mention extragalactic travel would take billions of years and technology extraordinarily advanced. The kind that would have left signs of its existence. Now for my ad homenim attack: you are nuts. They died off. Big freakin deal.
jacg324 1 year ago
If the force of gravity in the Universe were off by one inch over a span of 14 billion light years (approximate size of the Universe) planets could not exist. ex. of argument from precision.
There are more atoms in a drop of water than there are drops of water in the Mediterranean Sea, EACH atom has electrons revolving the central proton at a velocity of approx. 10,000miles/hour.... ex. of argument from the Interactivity of the World as Whole.
megaead69 1 year ago
@megaead69 okay... there are so many things wrong with these statements. Scientifically and logically. First off, your units of measure are.. well, wrong. Gravity is not measured in inches. Gravity is a product of mass, and is different for each planet because each planet has a different mass.
Logically speaking, who are you to say this universe is improbable? Have you compared it against other universes? Comparison is the basic tenant of statistics. Have you seen other universes? I thought not.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 I obviously realize how Gravity is and Isn't measured. My statement relates the to the relative precision necessary to allow for any planet to be possible.
To believe that the Universe did not have a Creator is much more of a stretch than to believe that it did.
megaead69 1 year ago
@megaead69 Urr, if there is attraction between particles, then they will eventually coalesce into a greater structure... Plus, you seem to have the observation backwards. "The universe is perfect for us and everything in it, therefore it was created." That is fallacious. It should be "Everything we observe is a direct result of the initial conditions of the universe, and we evolved to fill our current role within that universe."
The burden of proof here is on you.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 I accept evolution but am not observing backwards.I paid way too much money for university to not realize what fallacious reasoning is.You believe the Universe did not have a Creator despite an abundance of reasons to believe that there was a Creator behind it.You think it's more plausible that all the natural laws present in the Universe just came to be on their own.Physiology, physics and chemistry don't appear to be precise & uniformed, they are precise & uniformed.
megaead69 1 year ago
@megaead69 You repeatedly say "abundance of reasons" yet never cite anything that cannot be explained by science and observation. Besides, where did this creator come from, hmm? If it was always there, then why couldn't the universe always be there? You say the complexity of the universe necessitates a creator. The creator would have to then be even more complex. You can see where this is going.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 what lightweight rhetoric straight from Richard Dawkins. Science explains how things operate not why the laws of nature are uniform and structured or why their is something rather than nothing. Even Sigmund Freud acknowledged this by saying "The proof of the existence or non existence of God is not possible because it is not a scientific question."
megaead69 1 year ago
@megaead69 SIgmund Freud was a psychologist, not a physicist or something somewhat more credible on the matter. Besides, when faced with my question, you resort to ad homenim attacks. You utterly FAILED to answer my question.
jacg324 1 year ago
@jacg324 Freud recognized what is accepted throughout academia. The question of whether or not the Universe had a Creator is not in the purview of the sciences. Through Big Bang cosmology, which was developed by Catholic Priest/Physicist Georges Lemaitre, we know the Universe was not "always there".
There are no scientifically recognized theories as to what, If anything, existed prior to the Big Bang.
megaead69 1 year ago
@megaead69 That right there is the problem. Science is not the basis for absolute truth. Even in the Paranormal, a Scientific method of testing is still possible. Though it isn't technically Science.

And i'll have it written and everyone will think it's true, hahaha it'll be hilarious. uhh... no.
I really dont see what so un believable about a Creator making the earth and the skies, but ok, lets not believe in a Creator, lets believe in it all just poppin of out of nowhere.
5KnuckleShuffle94 1 year ago
@5KnuckleShuffle94 throughout recorded history cultures around the world have made up gods, the Greeks had many "gods" that they imagined up for a way to explain the natural world, many tribes of different aboriginal people around the world imagined up tens of thousands of "gods" none of which was real, the natural world is all there is ,there are no gods.the only place gods exist is in our minds which are fairly powerful in the area of imagination , the veracity of biblical claims is ridiculous.
nothingtoyouatall 1 year ago 2
@nothingtoyouatall and "popping out of nowhere" is not the atheist position ,evolution in succession from simple beginnings is a lot more believable than "god waved his hand, and it was so"and the origins of the earth and evolution are two different things, if you would like to talk about cosmology i recommend checking out some Carl Sagan videos. The beginnings of life on earth started in the Oceans/and or lakes and rivers of the world and there is a huge amount of physical evidence for this.
nothingtoyouatall 1 year ago
@nothingtoyouatall To add to this, the universe didn't "pop out of nowhere" like your god did. No, it had its humble beginnings in the big bang, which we have *observable evidence* of. Also, some recent discoveries by mathematicians have shown that ours was not the only massive release of energy, nor the largest.
Plus, there are the higher dimensions to contemplate. Those lead to dizzying trails of thought, but show that there is so much more than the narrow minded belief that it is all for us.

@nothingtoyouatall ridiculously facile, that is.

Oh, while I mention prehistoric man, some theories suggest that God, and the Angels, were actually aliens, which breeded with prehistoric man to create what we now know as modern man. As it has been said, that God made man in his own image.

Because when body decomposed, they let out a gas.... These gas is equivalent to mass lost when the body decompose.... The same thing happens for wood burning, the smoke is equal to the mass loss from the wood being burnt.....

3. quit arguing about athiesm. christians are afraid of death because you leave family and friends.
scabby92 2 years ago
If all of you christians are sooo sure that there is a god and a heaven then why dont you hear of anybody celebrting a terminal cancer... I mean you should be so beyond happy to be dying that you couldn't contain yourselves... but not you all cry and are terrified at the thought of death..why? Dane Cook is a terrible comedian and actor. All of his jokes have been done already comedians ares supposed to be creative... he's just boring and likes to yell and wave his arms around.
stitta 2 years ago
Because who the hell wants to go through that?? It isnt fun getting a terminal illness knowing your going to lose your life on earth idiot.
Even if a Christian believes that they will get to go to Heaven and in time see their living family and friends at a later date when they pass that doesnt mean you dont want to live a long full life on earth and leave your family and friends.
What the hell do you care anyways? For Atheists who arent sposta care they sure do alot of Jesus bashing.
XL5timechampsXL 2 years ago
Atheists may argue against your beliefs, but notice how we only argue using words... we dont go flying planes into buildings, murdering abortion doctors or go about discriminating anyone.
You completly ignored the point, If heaven is so great then why not be excited to be going there when you realise you are going to die? Because the reality is christians dont KNOW... they just believe. and yet they go around and say with 100% certainty that they KNOW... absolute hypocritical morons!!
stitta 2 years ago
Who are U2 say what a believer feels?? How the hell do you know what any certain individual feels when death comes?? There have been many believers who know that they are going to die and dont fear death one bit.
You make it sound like if somebody is going to die its time to throw a party. Its a fact that most people dont want to die and leave their family & friends here on earth no matter what U believe. U make it sound like a believer should set around and hope 4 death. Your argument is shit
XL5timechampsXL 2 years ago
Once again you ignored what I said.
Because the religious cannot think rationally. if it makes them feel better then that's real enough for them.
stitta 2 years ago
I didnt ignore what you said son your just to damn stupid to absorb what I said as to why a believer isnt hopping up and down when death is near and if you couldnt figure it out the first two times I said it your not going to, simply because you dont want to.
All you do is have a narrow minded view as to how ALL people who believe in God should feel when they die and its a weak argument.
XL5timechampsXL 2 years ago
its a sad thing beacuase even though we do know they are in a better place its sad beacuase we are still down here on earth and have to live life without them and maybe they died a bad death so yah...........
carita4494 2 years ago
I also see you ignored my statement about how Athiests just use words and reasoning in arguments and not discrimination tactics and murder... was that too real for you to accept? you do realise there hasn't ever been one single recorded death over Atheists arguing over who's more sure of themselves. I doubt the a standard calculator can estimate the amount of deaths in recorded history christianty has had... and that's just one religion... all that sensless violence based on irrational belief.
stitta 2 years ago
Now your trying to flip the script that Atheists are all loving nice and kind?? lol Ever heard of Stalin who was quoted as saying "You know, they are fooling us, there is no God...all this talk about God is sheer nonsense."
Yeah he was all peaceful and good. Yeah he was jjust chalk full of reasoning with his words, no discrimination tactics or murder with him.
XL5timechampsXL 2 years ago
Nice try with Stalin there but once again you failed to see what I wrote. There hasn't been any recorded deaths over atheists fighting over who's mre correct than the other. If you bring up Stalin, why not Mao Zedong, or kim il sung... all of of who were hardly rational men. Stalin didn't murder everyone because they believed in a god or didn't. That's exactly why wars are fought between the religious.
I could bring up Hitler in the same breath and I bet you would deny his religiousity...
stitta 2 years ago
I gave you a simple example fool. Do I have to make a list for you? Regardless of the reasons Stalin had people killed he was still a Godless man who had evil intentions.
Believer or non believers they all have good and bad seeds. You are too fucking stupid to figure that out I guess.
XL5timechampsXL 2 years ago
I put it to you before that there hasn't been any bloodshed over atheists who wanted to fight over who thought their theories or evidences were more correct... however there is a seemingly endless amount of bloodshed and loss of life over religion. You mention Stalin was an Athiest... so what? he never killed anyone who was religious simply because they believed something he didn't. If there are good and bad seeds regardless of belief then why is it needed. Do you need an invisible baby sitter?
stitta 2 years ago
The debate if there is a God or not has nothing 2do w/ people fighting over it. Just because I believe in God doesnt mean I condone people killing eachother because they say its in the name of God. In fact I think they have their beliefs quite twisted. Where the fuck do U think your going with this? You think all people who believe in God think the same way & just want to kill 4 their God? I already told U w/ Atheists & believers there have & will always be nutcases. Not every1 thinks the same

@stitta actually, athiesm kind of represents a certain belief that science does not agree with religion
therefore, he was stating that, scientifically, when we die, our body decomposes and, in his case, helps a tree grow
essentially, he was not actually the tree, but the fertilizer that made it grow
