1. Knuckles is an Echidna.

2. You couldn't "punch stuff" in "Sonic and Knuckles" when you played as the Knuckles character.

3. Sonic CD crashed and burned. Sonic 2 is the real peak of the Sonic era... unless we look at Generations which is extremely promising indeed.

4. You completely missed the code features. You could make any character turn into any item in any level and place it in the level. On top of that, you could turn into Super Sonic which made you an invulnerable badass.

This retrospective really blows. They just barely scratch the surace of the story behind Sonic. Scratch that, they don't even go to the story behind Sonic, they just talk about how to play the game. How about telling the story about how he was thought up? Or how the Sonic we know today is a drastic change from what he was originaly going to be like? Or how elements of Sonic 3 & Knuckles was goin to be in Sonic 2 like how Tails was going to be the guardian of the Master Emerald. Research guys!

which is a shame because sonic was on the role! sonic adventure & sonic adventure 2 are the ONLY 3D sonic games that will amaze you. sega really put their minds & thoughts into those two 3D games. creative levels, flawless game-play & gave you a REAL STORY-LINE to follow!...all of these features are HARD to find in sonic games after 2001.

The handheld games were epic, but 2-d except for Battle, the most epic nontheless. Ever try Unleashed? the werehog was average but the rest was great, and it had the most epic final boss ever...
