Personally, I think the 2nd Goldberg Variation has the greatest impact when played after the aria. The dramatic dynamic shift makes it all the more beautiful.
u forget many other great work of Bach B minor Mass Der kunst der fuge and his last fuge The little fugue in g minor and the greatest fugue also in gminor
and his bwv 944 and bwv 534 well is hard to putt them all in one video of 10 mins
but anyway thanks u very much for this video 5 Stars !
He's my favorite composer, his music is so plesant to my ears, but I also have the curiosity of: I wonder what his real hair look like? Lol allways with the wig:)
he looks mad in the paintings too lol, I wonders...
very interesting. i have a recording of a couple guys who play bach and other classical music on harmonicas, they even play some of these songs. air on G on harmonica is cool:)but anyways what is the song around 5:20? i sort of got lost
I agree with your choices, and find this a very well-balanced list. I personally would have included the the Crucifixus from the Mass in B minor, but that's just my taste.
I liked that alot, of course though, I like period instruments alot more and I usually don't count the Air on a G string as one of his compositions. Still though, very nice!
For some reason the picture I put in has dissapeared 00.50 but it all goes back to normal after that. What's your favourite piece of Bach? Thanks for watching!

De quien es esa interpretacion del preludio #1 bwv 846 en este video? me fascino esa version.

Classical music wouldn't as great without the contribution of the Magnificent BACH.

What is the name of the third song?
SunBeamsan 11 months ago
You should rename it from "his best works" to "his most well known works." :/
Biff947 11 months ago
@Biff947 I agree. Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor should be there. Toccata and Fugue in D minor should not. There's just one example.

It gives me the chills ever time I listen to Bach. Amazing music from an amazing man.

At 2:40 it's Variation 1, not Variation 2. The Aria is not a variation, it is the statement of theme.

J.S. Bach, sin lugar a dudas el padre de la música.
J.S.bach, the music father.
tato4527 2 years ago
Antes de Bach no había música? Bach no se inspiró en otros compositores? Bach es un grande entre los grandes, pero el Padre de todo sólo lo es Dios.

No aria? And I really hoped you had Wir Setzen Uns Mit Tranen Nieder from the Matheus Passion on there.

It is Bach's Ruht wohl ihr heiligen Gebeine. It's from the St Matthew's Passion I think.
