One thing I sure will pay attention to is architecture. Most visitors say they were shocked by how tall the skyscrapers really are.
I find Manhattan skyscrapers even more interesting than so. They are marvels of a unique way of art meeting demands by the business sector having a hard time catching up with the will of architects insane enough to claim there really are no boundaries.

@Tokeupbro I've been to New York once, but I was only 1 at the time, so I don't remember a moment of it, so that doesn't count much.
